I retired on October 31st i am loving it my husband retired the previous year after getting laid off i was a nurse for 30 years We moved from New Hampshire 5 years ago and love it We sold our beautiful brand new home and bought a modular home in a 55 plus community Sure, days get boring No more slaving for someone else We get to wake up and say to each other “what do you want to do today?” We get up and go to bed when we want We get to explore Florida Money is a little tight since I do not collect until March but, we have no mortgage and very little bills

We normally sail on Celebrity but living in southern Florida and being retired, we now sail Carnival. We have been on the Freedom twice. We are sailing on the Mardi Gras the third week of April. We have a balcony. The beverage package. We are eating at Rudi’s Sea Grill and Fahrenheit 555. We are not doing any excursions but signed up for a pasta making class. Very excited.

Tuscan is our favorite

Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. Equinox is our favorite ship. We were spoiled rotten. Because we live in Florida and are retired, we mostly cruise on carnival now because of the price and the cruise port is very close to our house. That being said, we have a sky suite booked for next November on Celebrity. We find the food superior. Sadly, we also found that the entertainment has much to be said for and that the entertainment on Carnival was much better.

We have only sailed on three lines. Celebrity, carnival, and Royal Caribbean. We didn’t find anything that we liked on Royal Caribbean but would give it another shot in the future. Celebrity, hands-down, was the winner. Excellent food everywhere Carnival we enjoyed the main dining room mostly, heated the Buff
