We were so close last October and didn't realise it until later! After our Discovery Princess cruise we drove up from LA to San Francisco and stopped by the "Lost Boys" bridge - which is only 4 minutes drive away

A couple of new Sun Princess renderings - The Underground (Teens area) and Neon Grove (Tweens area) hoping there will be some more detail to follow

The Star Princess deck plans are finally up. Only done a quick scan and they mostly the same as Sun Princess (to be expected). Lots of "Venue Locations are subject to change" notes added. And the Teppanyaki restaurant is now labelled Umai Teppanyaki.

It doesn't help that Princess haven't updated the official deck plans on the website or the app to show that Bistro Sur La Mer has been replaced by The Catch by Rudi on both Sky Princess and Majestic Princess.

I believe you won't find any official wheelchair accessible aft facing cabins in the current fleet. They generally place them close to elevators and all the ships have aft elevators a fair distance away (which changes with the new Sphere class - Sun and Star Princess). However, one anomaly seems to be on Grand Princess where you have two side facing mini-suites next to the aft area (D732 and D733). They have a lovely big balcony but don't seem to have a direct view of the wake (will have to peek around the divider!). It might be the closest you'll get.

Catch by Rudi was certainly popping up on the app for the few first cruises post-dry dock as a number of people posted screencaps on here

Glad you enjoyed your cruise, did you venture into the updated venues such as The Catch by Rudi or O'Malley's Irish Pub? I've just seen on a recent vlog that they don't have Guinness on tap in O'Malley's *gasp* but would be interested in your views.

As per this Princess press release, the April 15 dry dock for Enchanted Princess meant that: "The Catch by Rudi replaces Bistro Sur la Mer and is expected to make a tremendous splash given the menu that will appeal to both seafood aficionados and guests who simply prefer some great “surf and turf. With a new build - there is always the risk of the unknown though. You can certainly follow the standard cabin selection rules of avoiding those above/below/near public spaces or crew areas but there are always the odd gotchas (like soot on the Aft Royal-class balconies or being totally overlooked from above). I'm intrigued about: - the different balconies on the dome - what makes some premium and some not - if anyone has a good wake view apart from the accessible deluxe balconies - which balconies overlook the sea directly rather than decks, other balconies or will you be standing with your nose up against a high glass balcony - are those premium deluxe balconies that look back on the standard balconies worth having - any drawbacks from having a cove balcony so close to the sea - what do you get to do in your extra cabana space...just recline on the sofa - and yes, what is it like being stared at on your "balcony" by other cabana guests from the deck 😀

Actually, Princess did have a different rendering for O'Malley's Irish Pub on Sun Princess on display at the Southampton event and it has Guinness on the tables! (excuse the real plant leaf creeping in at the corner, lol):

Not seen anything else on Sun Princess other than the 2025 itineraries being announced last Friday at the Star Princess naming launch event in Southampton which I attended. Not to namedrop, but I had a quick chat with John Padgett who said he had come directly from the shipyard so hopefully there will be some more official news released on the build progress since it's been 2 months since the last PR update.
