  1. Nothing to do with the beef being from Europe? I guess that would have been noted on previous Med cruises.
  2. The official fact sheet on the Princess site for Sun Princess says Makato Ocean
  3. Do you know what that circular white thing is feeding into the top of the thermostat? Seen it on room tour videos:
  4. Won't be covered by Plus. This is the description and price on the Crooner's menu.
  5. @CanadianBurger hope you are enjoying your final day. If you get a chance, do let us know your thoughts on the ship - the best bits of your cruise and any niggles (soup service included lol). Will you be booking again?
  6. These are FB reels taken by a crew member: Reserve Collection Restaurant Signature Restaurant
  7. A video review of the test Spellbound experience with some actual footage from the parlour (spoiler alert)
  8. Actually Princess said all cabins would have a couch or sofa but it turns out they changed this for the lowest category Stateroom, the Interior and it's just an ottoman bench. Better than nothing though!
  9. Should be okay standing throughout, highest level is 3ft 3in, lowest level is 1ft 8in
  10. Here is the alcoholic Spellbound drinks menu. (Credit: EatSleepCruise)

  12. So Discovery Princess recently had a self-serve soda machine installed near the Wake View bar where you scanned your medallion. Not sure this is the same.. Isn't Lara their juice offering?
  13. ahh the pewter version might be better - no, don't put yourself out!
  14. Aww, that's brilliant thank you! We made the mistake of starting to collect the crystal ship models but they seem to have been phased out now.
  15. @CanadianBurger have you managed to look at what Sun Princess merch they have in the Shops? Appreciate it may not be your thing but we do like to collect fridge magnets and ship models.
  16. They were having another Spellbound test event tonight and it looks like there are menus of some kind on the tables - we don't even know what the alcoholic versions are yet so hopefully we will get more news as more experience it. (Credit: shipmonk)
  17. Season 7 of the series 911 has returned and kicks off with a cruise ship disaster theme paying home to The Poseidon Adventure What's more interesting from a Princess perspective is that on the first episode, the ship cabins are an old wood design but all have medallion entry door panels which the main actors scan to unlock the doors, they use it to track fellow passengers by location on the ship and they call it the Medallion too! It's a made up cruise line name though. In Entertainment Weekly they said - they originally planned to shoot the season 7 premiere on an actual cruise ship, “but cruise ship companies were like, ‘Well, does anything bad happen on the ship?’ And it's like, ‘Have you seen the show? It's not going to go real smooth
  18. A visual check of all 3 sets of menus - all the same starters and pasta, some tweaks on the mains and princess favorites. i.e. Ribeye Steak Cafe de Paris in Reserve and Signature in place of Grilled Flat Iron Beef Steak in MDR For Princess Favorites, MDR gets Fettucine Alfredo and Grilled New York Strip Steak as well, Reserve and Signature gets Jumbo Shrimp instead of Shrimp in the MDR and Signature gets an additional Prime Rib on the Carving Trolley
  19. lol. Trying not to follow the lead of our Princess of Wales who just got into a heap of trouble for editing pics!

  21. The Majestic Princess was the last Princess ship to have steps, see the Hollywood Pool pic below And this was the equivalent Retreat Pool on Sky Princess which started the new trend of no steps, only ladders:
  22. It was FB. Grabbed this of the Sky Suite balcony (had to do an edit to remove her standing at the rail) And the balcony is shown at the end of this reel being promoted by a videographer.
  23. Yes, on other ships you could order off the MDR menus so need confirmation this is continued on Sun Princess. You also have an expanded Breakfast menu - the door hanger version - with more hot dishes.
  24. It's difficult to assess when 1 poster only goes to one dining room. However, comparing the Captain's Welcome dinner shared on FB for the inaugural with CanadianBurger's Reserve Dining menu from the second cruise: It looks like the main differences are: - where the MDR gets Shrimp or Prawns, the Reserve Restaurant gets Lobster - a different Princess Favourites dish (Fettucini Alfredo appeared on most of the MDR menus from the inaugural)
