Our first visit to Israel was in coach - but that was 35 years ago - we were MUCH younger then!
I presume Sara's Grampa is older now!!
-
Tell your _Grandpa that a long- time Grandpa of six and a great grandpa of ONE KNOWS that you should UPGRADE to BC to make the entire experience LUXURY and COMFORT!!!!!!! It's an adventure of your LIFETIME!
GO FOR IT!!!!!
TRUST ME!!!
I've taken all my grandchildren to Europe on land trips and cruises!
My granddaughter Lydia told me she was studying about the nations I'd taken her to - PRICELESS!
It was WORTH every Penny.
( And I had NO property or bonds etc. to sell,)
There are Much MORE Important things than money!
-
Regent air always gave me good seats - perhaps with my TA import who is an Regent EXPERT!
A Great TA can be VERY VERY Helpful!

Grandpa scoffed at the $175 deviation fee. He's certainly not doing the $500 for biz class....
The only reason he can "afford" this cruise is because he sold some land, so he pocketed that money and left a small amount for this cruise. Nothing extra.
Remind Grandpa "he can't take it with him!"
Biz class would be the icing on a wonderful cruise!

Just checked the regent website. For this trip, they are offering business class for $499 each way. That is an incredible deal. Almost unheard of. You really need to take it. If your grandpa can afford regent, he can afford $499 each way to upgrade to business class. It is worth way more than that!
ABSOLUTELY!!!
You will be VERY GLAD you upgraded for a VERY GOOD price!
DO IT NOW before it's too late!

There's a nude beach but I forgot the name !
Just get fit!!!!

Regent let a new customer slip through its fingers - alas!

I seem to be getting a new Regency brochure every day in the mail. What is up with that. They could have given me a free cruise in what they have paid in printing and postage.
Do you mean Regent Seven Seas Cruises? Regency was a less than luxury line that is no longer in business!

Doc,
I think it's wonderful that Mr. Kamlani will be able to get a cello onboard for your wife to practice on. However, since I'm sure you and your wife would never think of disturbing your suite neighbors, please ensure that your wife does not practice the cello in your suite. Sounds from one suite can be heard in adjacent suites. On our recent Voyager cruise from Hong Kong to Beijing, we could clearly hear our neighbors' voices when they spoke on the telephone or were having a discussion. I'm sure the ship will be able to arrange a suitable practice location for your wife.
Enjoy your cruise and your anniversary.
iT'S A MELLOW CELLO - NOT DRUMS OR BRASS !

Bravo Regent, thank you Kunal for helping making romance bloom on board :)
ditto!!!!!

Caroldoll TAKE A deep breath NOW!
ALSO, I was looking forward having Willie as CD on my next cruise!
Congratulations on your marriage -- ALL HAPPINESS FOR BOTH OF YOU FOR MANY DECADES!

GOOD LUCK at School but LIFE goes far too fast already !
ZERO to 60 in record time!

I ALWAYS have my driver's license with me for another type of ID . I might decide to rent a car and license would be VITAL - it hardly weighs anything.

We booked a cruise at last minute a few years ago and all tours we wanted were "waitlisted" but we got all of them. There is NO guarantee, however.
People cancel and Regent can add more slots if possible.
-
Either our neighbors were quiet I don't recall any sound from adjacent suites on any Regent cruises!
Cello is a mellow instrument - softer than adjacent suites TV!
-
Give it a TRY!
Call Regent base in Miami if TA can't do anything.
(It would be a lot easier if she took up flute.)
Here's to a HAPPY and MUSICAL anniversary!
GOOD LUCK!

I strongly suspect that most people who sail on luxury lines started cruising on mainstream or lesser lines. Our first commercial cruise was on a Greek line decades ago - it's no longer in business.
We have more than 200 days on HAL, which we enjoyed very much. But we left because HAL was adding cabins on the smaller ships and building larger ships.
We were attracted to Regent for the " all-inclusive", casual dress and stringent smoking policy and the size of the ships - a few hundred passengers instead of thousands! Also, reading Petlover's around-the-world blog on Cruise Critic several years ago was VERY enticing.
We haven't looked back.

On safari in Kenya we brushed our teeth with bottled water and glad we did as did our safari companions.

I suppose there are worse fetishes than towel -animal fetishes!
To each their own!
-
NO reservations, just show up early and you might be seated or have to wait. It's very popular.
GOOD LUCK

Towel Animals?
Did you have children with you?

There are several ways - a vaporetto from Stazione Marittima or another more frequent vaporetto. See Viator.com Venice Cruise Port info. It will give you the various options. I like taking the vaporetto (water bus) as you see alot and can get off wherever. When we stayed in Venice near St. Mark's we bought a day pass and road all over.
Vaporettos are VERY convenient UNLESS they are crowded and you have "too much" luggage .

Ping - VERY GOOD ADVICE!!

I think bugs would be during or just after rainy season! I can't remember when we were in S. Africa and Kenya but we didn't have many if any bugs!
I have often wondered
