  1. Agreed. I am confident we won't be asked to prove the negative, but having proof is just insurance.
  2. We don't know how many cabins are set aside, for the presenter this morning said they were in different categories, oceanview, balcony and minisuite.
  3. Someone I know used to take her 'magic water' otherwise known as vodka. Can't do that now.
  4. Even the WA Premier's teenaged son ended up in hospital.
  5. Agree. Some of those who have become ill, or who have been left with long-COVID, are in their younger years or at least not old, and healthy. An example is the media personality Tracey Spicer.
  6. On local Princess, of course there isn't currency conversion or grats added to drinks. I am glad drinks are cheaper on P&O because we can't take our own wine on board as we can with Princess.
  7. I don't think Princess will ever bring Ruby to Australia.🙂
  8. When the B2B people disembark, I think the presenter this morning mentioned that Princess would carry out COVID testing. They also had to have a RAT test on the last day of the first cruise. I think the whole ship will have a deep clean between cruises, even if it delays embarkation.
  9. For the first several months at least, the cruises are all domestic (except for one port call in Papua New Guinea in August - I think it is August). It is only the PNG one where the presenter this morning cast doubt on going ashore independently, but he commented that "no-one lives on the island"! I suppose it depends on your definition of living. There is accommodation on the island where people live and work.
  10. I will consider the clip on. I liked Brandee's idea of clipping it to her bra strap. That might work better than having it in a small purse in my pocket.
  11. In the Princess webinar this morning, they said that B2B people must pack up all their luggage to disembark, leaving the room empty for a deep clean. ☹️
  12. As you mentioned earlier, the 3-night for $392 and f-night for $491 is the price for two people.
  13. The presenter of the webinar suggested people should have digital and paper copies of their vax certificate, and have a few copies of the paper one.
  14. Thanks, I will do that. I think the presenter of today's talk said something about that.
  15. Simply marketing. These are cruise that have been added almost at the last moment and P&O wants to sell them. Therefore the closest reason you have given is 'A' above. My advice to Hogbay is to grab it. If these prices were available from Brisbane we would book one. On our last cruises in 2020, drinks on P&O were considerably cheaper than on Princess.
  16. Thanks for the good summary. I will add that they said that if we use our passports as ID for a cruise that isn't international (e.g. Q'ld coastal), we have to have the international vaccination certificate. The example shown had a QR code on it. The ones we have are headed 'Australian Government COVID-19 digital certificate' but I will have to check if that is the required 'international vaccination certificate'.
  17. It was 11am and now finished. The discussion would be available on U Tube.
  18. I hate to think how many people may man at Specsavers generously passed COVID on to. To be fair, he appeared to be asymptomatic.
  19. My guess is that they will watch and see what happens with the ships starting to cruise in Australia. NZ might open in time for the summer season. There wouldn't be much point in opening earlier, but I hope the announcement comes in time for the cruiselines to plan their summer itineraries.
