  1. I too am allergic to the sanitizer...I have serious excema (dishydrosis) on my palms and fingers. I go out of my way to avoid the spray, and don't appreciate being criticized by others thinking I am not clean. I also bring my own soap onto the ship and use it "religiously". I am glad the sanitizer is there for those who can use it, but I should not be hated for not being able to.

    Hated!?

    A wee bit dramatic, no?

  2. So we've been on a bunch of NCL cruises.. sailed the Jewel, Gem, Breakaway, and the Dawn. We will be aboard the Escape in May, and was just trying to get some info on it. I've been doing a lot of reading online, but I was looking for some insider tips.. I'd love to hear about your favorite restaurants, shows, common areas, bar tenders, meals, etc.. If you'd care to share any tips, tricks, or secrets about the Escape, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  3. Who cares! Enjoy your cruise! Forget everyone else! Geez!

These questions continue to baffle my mind. Do you plan on going in Brig? If not, focus on other things that will behoove passengers rather than stirring "hornets nest".

This thread was totally not worthy of responses. JMO

    But yet you responded.. Interesting...

  4. Some people refuse to tip extra, which is totally fine. HOWEVER, you'd be amazed what a buck or 2 here and there could do. Our last cruise, the Breakaway, was packed. Some of the bars were very crowded. We found a couple good bar tenders early in the cruise, and would tip a buck for each drink. Days later, the same bar tenders would remember us, and always went out of their way to get us drinks quick, even when the bars were packed. So yes, some on here will preach that extra tips aren't necessary but they sure do help ;);)

  5. So I have the opportunity to sail on the Escape from NYC in May, for a very good price. I am just a bit concerned with the stateroom location that is being offered. We have been on several ncl cruises, so I'm not a novice, but no expert either. It's pretty far AFT, which is ok.. but I wanted to make sure there's nothing else I'm missing about this cabin. It's 10276, a balcony. When I look at the deck plans, I see it's close to the elevators, which is no big deal, but I also see what appears to be a huge "open" area, that's shown as just a white-out on the deck plans. It looks like there's stairs right there, but not sure what is exactly there? Any help/info/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

  6. First let me say that my wife and I enjoy good food, and regularly eat at some of the most expensive restaurants in NYC. While NCL's food is certainly not top of the line, I still find it pretty good. Been on 8 NCL cruises, and can't really say I have ever had a bad meal.
