Could anyone currently onboard a ship please report what the current movies are? I know last month someone indicated they didn’t have newly released movies, but I’m hoping there’s been an improvement.

Princess raising prices of plus and premier packages
cruisequeen4ever replied to justafem's topic in Princess Cruises
I love the fancy desserts and fresh juices and smoothies, but they’re not worth an extra $20 per day to me. As for the fitness class perk, that’s the opposite of a perk for me personally. Lol -
Ships decorated for Christmas?
cruisequeen4ever replied to Suzcruz57's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I’m so glad to hear the Independence has been decorated! My niece and nephew are going on their first cruise on its next sailing! -
I know this is from last spring, but I was so touched by your surprise for your dear wife and the cruise blog, that I had to comment. When you’re a caregiver, you go many days with a lot of work and not a lot of praise. You are an A+ husband, and your wife is blessed to have you love her in sickness and in health. I hope you 2 can keep cruising for many years to come

Wonder of the Seas - Medical Diversion, delay
cruisequeen4ever replied to sharktums's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I think it’s kind of impossible to satisfy everyone in a situation like this. Royal Caribbean certainly doesn’t want to have to shell out money and have dissatisfied customers, but a passenger’s medical emergency is completely out of their control. I’m proud of them for doing the right thing and getting the person medical care, even though it cost them a fortune to do so. There will be people who are ecstatic at getting an extra day, as I would be if I were in that situation. There will also be people, however, who will be negatively affected financially with flight costs and/or missing an extra day of work. There will be people stressed who are having to solve childcare and pet care situations back home. The situation is awful for many people, but it is definitely not Royal Caribbean’s fault, and I think they are trying to make as many people happy as possible. I know if I or a loved one had a medical emergency that necessitated immediate care on land, I would sure hope whatever cruise line I was sailing on, would make the right call for me. I would feel bad for all of the impacted passengers, but ultimately, life-saving care is more important. To those who received an extra day, I hope you had a fabulous bonus day of vacation, and that you did not incurred too many added expenses or stresses. To those about to board, I hope that you cram seven days of fun into six days! Most importantly, to the person receiving critical care, and his or her loved ones, I pray for a successful recovery!- 366 replies

Spa Services - questions about pedicures
cruisequeen4ever replied to PixiTrix's topic in Princess Cruises
Thank you for providing more info. I’ve had and enjoyed the regular pedicure onboard but think I’ll try the Fire and Ice this time. -
Bits and Pieces on Grand’s final US voyage until 2023
cruisequeen4ever replied to cr8tiv1's topic in Princess Cruises
Oh that’s cool her scene aired! Ok, I’ll be interested to taste them next month and see if I notice a difference. -
The shows were at the normal times on all of our Mediterranean cruises, regardless of the length of the cruise. We are go go go people when we travel, so we were too exhausted from our 12 hour touring days to take part in mini activities in the evening, but many did enjoy them. The Beatles tribute was a highlight on each of our sailings and Europe with lots of crowd participation. Have fun planning!

How do the prizes work and what do you get?
cruisequeen4ever replied to Shaver John's topic in Princess Cruises
If you go the route of paying $20 to enter, do you have to enter for the whole cruise, or can you pick and choose 1 day here and there to play? -
Bits and Pieces on Grand’s final US voyage until 2023
cruisequeen4ever replied to cr8tiv1's topic in Princess Cruises
I so enjoyed reading the account of your cruise. I too adore those suite wallets.☺️ My mother-in-law and I have yanked our hubbies’ ones after ours became worn out. My hubby is still upset about it. 🤣 It’s good to know that the peanut butter cookies are still available; you just have to ask for them. I hope your sister had tons of fun so she will cruise with you again in the future. That picture from yesteryear in Hawaii is beautiful; is that of you? That’s so cool your sis got to have a bit on Magnum PI; too bad they cut it! Happy sailing to you! -
Ugh! Called for Federal Jury Duty

That would not be cool to have a trip ruined; I wish you the very best of luck getting a deferral! -
Question for the ladies regarding carrying your cell phone
cruisequeen4ever replied to rjack22's topic in Princess Cruises
I use a small, crossbody purse that’s my ship purse because I have a variety of things I need or want with me. If all you need or want is your cell phone, your crossbody pouch sounds like a good plan. -
How is the bidding system doing? Any comments?
cruisequeen4ever replied to Bwana Tom's topic in Princess Cruises
I have not bid. I have just kept checking the bidding page. -
Carnival Celebration or Regal Princess?
cruisequeen4ever replied to kuxiam's topic in Princess Cruises
If you plan on going on Bolt, yes. If you want water slides, yes. If you’re into the new food venues, yes. Otherwise, no, IMO. -
Hawaii RT from SFO on Princess
cruisequeen4ever replied to CruiseProGirl's topic in Princess Cruises
We are about to do this itin, and we did the RT Hawaii out of LA years ago. I love all the sea days, plenty to do to enjoy time aboard the ship. My hubby does get tired of the sea days. You really won’t know how you feel til you do it, but I definitely find this a worthwhile cruise. -
Alaska cruise tours
cruisequeen4ever replied to oddly excitered's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I am going to be one of those to tell you to do Princess because they do Alaska better than any other first line. They own their own lodges, which enhances the land portion of the experience. If you are set on Royal Caribbean, though, they contract out their land tours to Alaska Premier tours. They are a good Alaskan tour company, but they don’t own their own lodges. -
I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved wife, and it’s awful that no doctors thought to test your wife for an embolism sooner. 😔 It’s cathartic to talk about it; thank you for having the courage to share it on here. I’m so happy you 2 could share a wonderful cruise shortly before. God bless you as you grieve.

How is the bidding system doing? Any comments?
cruisequeen4ever replied to Bwana Tom's topic in Princess Cruises
I am pleased to share the the bid prices for our upcoming cruise finally hit Earth, for some categories at least. Based on my experience, it seems like they start out high, and the closer you get to sailing, the lower the bid prices MAY become. -
That’s too bad. I thought on the short cruises, they give you a dinner at a specialty restaurant in lieu of the party.

OK, the picture really helped. It’s like massive people slept tonight after night after night on those to wear them out so much because they can’t be that old with the ***** not being that old. I’m sorry you scored unlucky ones. You would think Princess would have noticed and replaced them.

Japan to allow cruise ships back (aka maybe Diamond Princess)
cruisequeen4ever replied to cr8tiv1's topic in Princess Cruises
My husband would love to do an Asian cruise, but I want to wait until they’ve been running them for a while to make sure that they stick and go smoothly. Hopefully they do! -
They have been trying to do this for a while, and thankfully, the experience has not changed for us…yet at least. We value the adult oriented, upscale, traditional cruise experience, that Princess gives. It’s fine if there are some children, but if there are a ton, it really changes the experience. Princess can market to younger adults without making it a heavily frequented by families cruise line. We started out cruising Princess in our 20s. There are plenty of adults in their 30s, 40s, and 50s without kids who would be a prime market to get hooked for life.
