True. That is how they (hope to) curb crowds that arrive even before the terminal gate opens.😁 We prefer to pick the afternoon time...between 1 pm to 2 pm. Have observed that there are no or almost no lines before security and inside. I wouldn't put myself through this extra stress of setting the alarm to get an early check in 😁. Now if they had it really like "open cabin" first come first serve, like open seating on South West, perhaps I would reconsider!!!!!

Last time we boarded from there was January 2023. No one with ipad to check us in (like it was before). There were also no lines. This was later on in the day.....we are not early boarders. Picture was taken at check in counter. There were no lines there either. Took 5 minutes and we then ushered towards the suite entrance to the left....don't know why, we did not have a suite and D + get no priority now so he must have liked my smile or was thoroughly bored since there were not that many people using his side to board.

We have always booked direct with the Marriott. They mostly asked to just show up the day of. Once or twice they have taken our names down, but never an advance payment. Very short ride from the cruise dock. There are far better beaches in Curacao, but this is good for a day pass kind of thing, with pool and food. We also liked the day pass at what was once the Curacao Hilton (its called something else now), a block or so before it.

The several times we have been there on a day pass, it was perfectly fine!

Be comfortable taking baby steps and doing what you feel like doing, one thing at a time......the excitement will build in due time. What cruise did you book?

Same situation with ours. I guess we will have to wait for the Black Friday sales if there are any this year. Last year or the year before, I remember seeing soda pkg for $6.99 and Jamie's lunch for $16. I don't remember what $ the Voom was.
