Tonight’s dinner was at The Pirate’s Voyage dinner show.  I didn’t realize this was owned by Dolly Parton.  Very good show, and the kids really enjoyed it.  A few pictures from the show.

Some of the acrobatics and diving reminded me of the Aquatheater shows.

Of course, a show isn’t complete unless you get some weapons for the new pirates.

You aren't kidding about the over flowing meet and greet!  Everyone was lovely and so friendly.

We were not aware of the conference room set up to call home🤔  I just remember that we couldn't contact any of our 3 daughters, one on Staten Island (they also didn't have any power), one in New Jersey, and one in Connecticut.  Our traveling buddies were able to contact their daughter, though.

I can't wait to see you in person, Arzeena!  Debbie, too, since the 3 of us never did get together before you moved to Florida.

    I can't wait either!🥰

I have done the cooking class at Playa Mia almost a dozen times, and loved it each and every time.  I am sorry that you were not able to experience that.

I agree with you about the food area in the "pavilion".

I am with you. We too have done this cooking class excursion many times and enjoyed it every time. We have never experienced what the OP went through, but I understand it can happen. We have booked a ship excursion whenever we went there.
We also like Paradise Beach and have been a dozen times. we have no complaints about plastic cup drinks. Paradise food is not bad and they have the cleanest rest rooms in all Cozumel per our experience.

YES!!!  OMG!! 2012.. It was also our first time doing a CC Meet and Greet.  We had such a great time on that cruise with the group.  It was also frightening to see Sandy reeking havoc at home while we were safe at Sea  On the tv in our cabin, we saw our daughter's flooded street in N.J., and a ship that ran aground near my brother's street on Staten Island.  We tried calling our daughter's from the ship phone, with no luck.

It was a really great cruise, Arzeena!  I believe it was also Halloween while on the ship.  Was it the NCL Star??

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! So this means we may have met before!!!!!!

I remember the over flowing meet and greet in the dining room, we had horse racing on deck with Kyle the Cruise Director, that lady in the mermaid outfit, oh it was great!
Hearing about Sandy was frightening. I think we were docking in Curacao when the news came out. Captain had set up a conference room for people to call home.

That's unusual but something may be up with Wonder's aqua show.

We were on the June 2nd sailing. On the morning of Day 7 the CD announced there would be a special, different aqua show that night at 8 & 10pm (InTENse ran all week as usual). It appeared in the app (no reservations required) as "Aqua Nation." I later learned that's the name of the show on Symphony. Unfortunately there were technical difficulties with the pool/stage and it was cancelled.

I sail again on July 14th and InTENse is listed as usual with reservations. However, I also noticed that the June 30th sailing has Aqua Nation listed for day 7 at 8 & 10pm in addition to InTENse (again, no reservations).

Not sure what any of this means but since I've seen InTENse twice (which was enough for us) and never been on Symphony, I'd love to see Aqua Nation.

Will you be doing a trip report/ review/ live ? I would love to read it.

Still no aqua show on Aug 25 sailing showing up to book.

    .

Beautiful! Is this a VRBO/ AirBnB place or a hotel. What great view to wake up to and the place is very nice! I have never been to Myrtle Beach.

And Celebrity CEO hasn't been there yet , it seems, to remove those lovely loungers off the balcony!😉

It's been oppressively hot here, also.  We've pretty much been staying inside.

How great that you've booked an OV w/large balcony with your casino rep for Eric's birthday.

Jim and I did a repo from NYC to New Orleans back in 2012.  Our hotel was just off of Bourbon Street.  We had a great time there, and thought it would be a "great adventure" to take the Amtrak train home from there.  😁  If you will have a few days in NO prior to the cruise, the World War II Museum is a must see!

Was this on NCL? During Sandy? We did a repo from NYC to NOLA at that time.

It's been hot muggy here since the 4th.   Daily heat indexes ranging from 99 to 106f.   I was able to get law mowed one night (haven't had to mow for 3 weeks) and some weeding.

With having a 4 day weekend I was hoping to hang out at neighbors pool but we all decided way too hot to sit and relax by the pool and cannot spend all day in the pool without becoming a prune.

So I booked a cruise.  I was looking at doing one out of Tampa but Eric said just do Cape Liberty as he wants to check out Odyssey for last week of March (his BD week).

Went thru casino desk and used my free annual tier sailing for an interior and only had to pay $325 with taxes, port fees and minor upgrade fee of $45 to a OV w/large balcony.   Love getting a good casino rep. On the phone.

Eric and I have casino offers for Brilliance sailing out of New Orleans for November/December.   Does anyone have experience for this port?  Is it easy access to get to the port?

    How's the airport?

We have sailed from NOLA a few times on NCL. Airport is about 30 mts away from the town. We have stayed at the Hilton there and it is a nice one, right by the port. NOLA is a lovely port to sail from. We have also stayed at the Westin.
You will be sailing in the river for quite a while, passing a lot of things till the ship makes it out into the Gulf. If you do a cruise from there, I would highly recommend going two or three days early. Do some tours, visit a plantation, Bourbon street, French quarter, etc etc.

Now my good doc has not heard of Revenge in a Bottle, and he does seem to snooze/relax on the lounge chairs in the Solarium on his cruise? hmmmm....(yes, I have heard too many of those port talks !!!!!!!)
Noooooo, do not worry, I would never dare!😁.....I promise, honest. Just Kidding.

I didn’t really mention it on here earlier, except for a cryptic message to @Ocean Boy on April 1st. Unfortunately, we don’t have a cruise for another month, but I’m ready to go now and was even earlier. I hope yours comes out like mine. I guess I will find out just how ready I will be if I have to walk up a lot of inclining terrain next month.

Hope you feel great now and knees are as good as new.
