I remember reading about “Banana George” when I was younger, and he was skiing in his 70’s. It seemed, as young kids, we were amazed that someone would be doing that at such an “old” age. That was my goal, to be like him.
Wasn't Banana George a monkey? 😆🙈🙉🙊

Actually for London, want to take DW to Mamma Mia but only an evening show the day we’re in port.
Much easier to book a cruise on the Allure for that!

Yeah..we wound up leaving the window closed. While going through the Panama Canal, we would open it to look down while going through the Canal, room would be dripping, mirrors all fogged up, then we'd close the window until it cleared up again. The room itself is really lovely, though, and the extended length is pretty nice.
Have a wonderful time on your cruise!!!! Bon Voyage!🛳️
I also keep the window closed. Used it as a panoramic ocean view...lot of space plus the verandah part adds to room length. On E class this constitutes the majority of balconies. The other types are port hole verandahs, few on deck 6,7 8 and 9. Sunset aft balconies are great but get booked out very early.

We went to a couple of animal shelters looking for kittens, we will continue our search. Wife now wants to remodel one of our non primary bathrooms , I am thinking we could do a cruise in a penthouse for what this will cost us .
I vote for cruise and kittens.

Thank for pointing that out that I was posting comments about Silverseas and other ships that were docked next to us....that I Observed and had Thoughts and Impressions of our cruise ship neighbors while On the World Cruise.
But for some reason I did not post my other adventures on Wonder and Allure while off ship before rejoining. 😄 😉
But no...I am enjoying my cruise again, love being back on board, and reconnecting with many friends who welcomed us back warmly. Thanks to all for the kind comments. But once again, I am just along for the ride this time. 🥰
OK, whatever floats your boat! 😁
Enjoy your sailing and say hello to us whenever you wish to.- 2

Thanks for the clarification. I had read that she was the first female cruise ship captain but the article did not state American.
Interesting. They also sent a female into space long before the Americans did too.Valentina K.

I see some questions on hotels and shore excursions on the Bella roll call.

Yes they sure did, the only morning we had breakfast in the Dining room someone came around with a clipboard asking us what scores we were going to give.
So that they know whether or not to spit in your omelette. 😆 LOL!

I booked one over the weekend, but it was on purpose. 😂
For the next few days, we actually have 4 cruises on the calendar. That's a record for us. Our Beyond sailing embarks on Saturday!
Have a wonderful cruise! Send us some pictures.

So, lately I've read a few posts about people accidentally booking a cruise.
It must be contagious.
I am in the process of "accidentally" booking Bella 2.0😀
See y'all Feb 2025. Is there an initiation process? I don't swallow gold fish. Don't like seafood. 😉
Looking forward to seeing you!

Well bummer. It looks like our move is going to delayed. On Sunday night we were coming in from the deck and tripped and fell on my right hip. The hip is fine, but I have a small fracture in my pelvis. I spent Monday night in the hospital. I am not ambulatory and have a wheelchair, walker and commode. PT person is supposed to start today. The pain is absolutely excruciating but fortunately it is not displaced. It will eventually heal on its own. Just miserable in the meantime.
I hope you heal fast. Sending you best wishes and hugs.

I've finally caught up after being off CC for about a month--I don't post much but love reading--it is amazing how connected you can feel to people after just virtual visits for so many years! We're in the stage of having "kids" that are really adults but back and forth home for graduate work or summers home. They now also bring significant others and friends so I feel like I'm back to having a 13 and 16 year old and need to stock the fridge accordingly! DH said he thinks it would be cheaper if we moved to an all inclusive and just gave the kids the house!
@A&L_Ont We have done a few of those ones from Cape Liberty (and DS is now old enough to use our favorite TA on his own!) and we found a fun thing to do on Nassau. If you're a James Bond fan, the Ocean Club hotel is where they shot many scenes from Daniel Craig's Casino Royale. We took a taxi to the hotel, had lunch and some drinks, walked around, and then walked along the beach back towards Atlantis until we'd sort of had enough and then took a cab back to the port. I wouldn't take young kids but it is a really nice day and something a bit different.
DD is doing college in London and only got home about 4 weeks ago--she is having to adjust to the fact that her high school friends are moaning about the end of summer and going back soon while she's basically just started with warm weather!
Can you please give me some more detail: How much was the taxi, how long to get there? Is this a different Ocean Club than the one that is not at the beach near the Versailles Gardens? I am interested in going, but the search brings up an Ocean Club that is in the middle of nowhere and not near to the Atlantis.
Thanks.
Editing: I found it! On Cabbage Beach? Hence your Atlantis reference. I get it. Thank you very much for the suggestion. Did you have to call ahead for lunch?

I really hope @island lady reconsiders her posting position.🤞
I hope she posts. I enjoyed her posts.
I do not understand but I think she mentioned she had a hard time keeping people "on topic" ...OK but she was also posting about Silverseas, the American cruise line saga etc etc, and it was all interesting so what was the problem????????
Come one @island lady we want to hear you here too!- 7

I love the ones next to the chocolate stall, with the birdies chirping. Very relaxing. Not to mention this chocolate store guy who was bored to death and offered me samples in the hope that I would buy.🙃
