Missed this, masked still need to fly into Germany!. We are headed to Copenhagen, will start a new topic for the actually cruise. We aren’t using Regent Air, because I like keeping my United perks. Not happy about the masks, but I go with the flow kinda of person. I haven’t had COVID, husband and Mom and sister have, but not me.

Sitting on the plane. - I will check out put the current state of at least red wines and sparkling. Not a big fan of the whites!

One of these days we will get to Turkey, thanks for the great adventure and food descriptions - they made me hungry!

Thanks, guys. I have been on Regent a few times prior to COVID and I understand their mark up on wine - not restaurant prices. Can anyone comment on what is currently on the list for red wines? 2019 isn’t 2022 - that is like picking out a great vintage and the wait staff says the wine vintage that is two years younger is the same as the one you picked out. Lol.

You think? I did the same, so what are the details. No details, don’t have time to waste.

Cruise leaves on Tuesday - we will be on that cruise. I have to ask, why is it important that she dines with you? Just curious.

I have heard that another rather big cruise company also plans to use starlink - they may kick start this for Regent, time will tell for both.

UAT - User Acceptance Testing is the best!

I couldn’t get the state on the iPad, but it did work on my laptop with Edge. One way or the other it required multiple devices to complete the checkin.

Got my check yesterday from my TA for my upcoming cruise, takes some of the sting out of the price!

If you like good wine and the first night, you order a bottle that you need to pay for - everyone perks up a bit and starts to invite you to the wine events, make suggestions and will go out of their way to ensure you have the wine you like. We find it sets a tone for the rest of the cruise. Flexibility is key if you would like to eat in the speciality restaurants more often. Show up and ask if they can seat you later - most of the time they can.

We tried to visit this part of the world a couple of times, but civil issues or COVID got in the way. Love your descriptions. Bacon should always be the first choice, never eat it at home, but on vacation - just have to.

Years ago, I was on a Celebrity cruise in Norway and it was raining. We ended up spending the night in port (not the original plan). We decided to have dinner in the town, and walk back to the ship, the town was full that night with lots of broken umbrellas - lots of them. It was very funny in a sense, but someone had to go clean up the mess in the morning!

How big are tge bitters they give you to refill and do they keep the water cool? Thinking of bringing my own.

Ah, great question - I was thinking that the Walgreens test would be good. It was last year to get into Hawaii. I will need plan b, also - depending on how folks respond to this question.

Very happy, I’m dealing with the flights myself and took the credit. The person that will make sure you get want you really want is you! I rather argue with United myself and I do make sure I get there earlier than the day the ship leaves! Good luck to all.

Haha - you don't want a car in Boston! Get off the ship and use the T(metro, subway,tube,etc) - that will take you anyplace in the city you want to see or meet your friend. I would expect he knows that! Wear walking shoes, those coblestones are mean to heels and ballet flats!

Yup, much quicker! I should have waited a couple more days before I booked my excursions. As soon as I did them one of the islands was changed the next day and all the excursions are changing and the website got speedy! Improvement is always welcome!
