  1. For what it's worth, I'm coming up with a total of 65 Queens Grill cabins of QA. Q1 = 2 Q2 = 4 Q3 = 10 Q4 = 24 Q5 = 17 Q6 = 8
  2. I think you'll find there are actually 127 Princess Grill cabins on QA. That's the count I get from various sources including Cruise Deck Plans and by manually counting them on the deck plans. Several sites including Cruise Deck Plans list 59 Britannia Club cabins on QA, so that's were you might have seen that 59 cabin count. But I think that count for Britannia Club cabins is way off. My manual count from the deck plans comes up with a total of 164 Britannia Club cabins on QA.
  3. QA voyage H526 (Spain and Portugal, 14 Nights) was originally scheduled to call at Palma de Mallorca on 18 Oct 2025, Barcelona on 19 Oct 2025 and Alicante on 20 Oct 2025. Those calls have been rearranged so that QA will now be calling at Alicante on 18 Oct, Palma de Mallorca on 19 Oct and Barcelona on 20 Oct. Ordinarily this wouldn't cause much of a fuss especially this far out. But QA was scheduled for two separate 7-night voyages (H526A and H526B) which were to end and start in Barcelona on 19 Oct 2025. A guest booked on voyage H526A (Southampton-Barcelona) has reported receiving notice their voyage is canceled. Presumably those booked on voyage H526B (Barcelona-Southampton) are receiving similar cancellation notices. Voyages H526A and H526B have been removed from the Cunard website. The reason given for this change is that QA cannot dock in Barcelona on 19 Oct 2025. I've been reading where Barcelona is restricting the number of cruise ships to no more than seven per day. At least one online cruise ship schedule shows eight cruise ships (including QA) were scheduled to be in Barcelona on 19 Oct 2025. That might explain the reason for this itinerary change where the date of QA's call at Barcelona has been moved to 20 Oct 2025.
  4. I just did what you are asking about for a US booking a couple weeks ago. I booked one of the new 2026 voyages as soon as it became available to book on cunard.com but before it was listed on the website for the travel agent I usually use. Once you have booked directly with Cunard, they can provide you with a "Reservation Transfer Request Form" pdf for you to fill out and email back to them. On that form you identify the booking you want to transfer and provide the name and contact information of the travel agency/travel agent to whom you wish to transfer the booking. Here are the limitations on the timing of the transfer as stated on that form. "Bookings may only be transferred within 60 days of booking creation so long as (a) the request is made outside the Final Payment period, and (b) the booking is not paid in full."
  5. Yes, that route indicated on the map for QM2's 2024 Independence Day Celebration cruise has to be wrong. The map for QM2's 2025 Independence Day Celebration is more accurate. We do indeed have record of QE2 calling at Stamford, Connecticut. The abstract log records for that voyage indicate it was trip from New York and back where QE2 must have sailed south of Long Island to reach Long Island Sound and approach Stamford from the east. And then back to New York the next day using the same route in reverse around the south of Long Island.
  6. Looks to me like the registered trademark is on the full name "Titanic II Blue Star Line".
  7. Some of you, including the OP, may recall this thread from 2013 which is where I believe I first heard of this on-again, off-again project. There are several dearly departed contributors to this old thread.
  8. The overhang on deck 11 occurs where the deck plans show deck 12 widens just forward of the boundary between Mid Forward and Midships. That includes even-numbered cabins 11058 and above on the port side and odd-numbered cabins 11081 and above on the starboard side. Here is one of my photos showing the view from the balcony of cabin 11129 with the overhang. I personally didn't find the overhang to be much of an issue.
  9. My assumption is different. From past experience with similar offers in the US, all three of the proposed fares "Our Lowest Fare", "Treat Yourself, on us" and "Cunard Fare" ought to have the standard cancellation schedule once the final payment date has been reached. "Our Lowest Fare" differs in that the deposit is non-refundable. But I'm afraid the only way you will know for certain is to call Cunard or speak with a travel agent. It is unfortunate the terms and conditions for each of the fares don't spell that out clearly.
  10. That's correct. I booked one such promotion a few years ago offered well after the final payment date which the cruise booking site I use indicated was a "fully non-refundable fare". I'm not aware any of the fares typically offered on the Cunard US website prior to final payment date are like that. And their "Sailing Soon Savings" fares currently offered on sailings departing in the next few months indicate the standard terms and conditions apply. That said, you are quite correct to make certain you understand the cancellation terms that apply to whichever fare you are considering. You would hope the Cunard website would make it clear when a fare is non-refundable. But when the Cunard website doesn't specifically state that, it is best to confirm those details with Cunard (or your travel agent if you use one).
  11. You would normally only pay a deposit until the final payment date (120 days before departure for US bookings on cruises of 30 nights or less). Once that final payment date is reached, the standard cancellation penalties kick in as outlined in the Cunard Passage Contract regardless of which fare you have booked. Now if you are asking what happens if you choose to pay the entire cruise fare at the time of booking (or at some point well before the final payment date) and then cancel before the final payment date, then I'm not positive how that works. I believe you would still only have the deposit amount at risk if you booked a fare with a non-refundable deposit and would get your entire fare back otherwise, but don't take my word on that.
  12. "Our Lowest Fare" has a non-refundable deposit. It's stated as such when you view the fares near the start of the booking process. Our Lowest Fare. $1,678Per stateroom/suite Guaranteed stateroom.* Reduced non-refundable deposit.^ Excludes our current limited time offer and Cunard Fare benefits. "Treat yourself, on us" doesn't specifically say one way or the other which normally means the deposit is refundable until the final payment date (120 days before departure for US bookings on cruises of 30 nights or less). But do confirm with Cunard just to make sure if you'd like to book that fare.
  13. This same issue appears with all three of QM2's 2026 voyages listed in the brochure as beginning or ending in Auckland. M604K: Los Angeles to Auckland, 3 Feb-27 Feb 2026 (23 nights) M605A: San Francisco to Auckland, 6 Feb-27 Feb 2026 (20 nights) M605C: Auckland to Sydney, 27 Feb-4 Mar 2026 (5 nights) Auckland is still listed on the itineraries of QM2's 2026 world voyage segments that don't begin or end there. But for whatever reason you can't book any of these QM2 2026 voyages that embark or disembark in Auckland.
  14. One thread where we've discussed expiring membership levels was the "Cunard World Club Survey" thread from this past August. One of the questions Cunard asked on that Cunard World Club survey was how much we agreed or disagreed with this statement. "It is reasonable for points to expire if I don’t cruise for 5 years"
  15. Just to follow up, when you click on this link for the Queen Victoria 2024 Dress Code and Theme Schedule document https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cyvDcClHIEbbbga0u7o9M_DqNBL4ZdQL/view?usp=sharing then you should see something similar to the following. If you are not seeing anything similar to this, please let me know exactly what you are seeing to perhaps help diagnose what is going on.
  16. The current value of the Diamond complimentary meal benefit on QM2 is $25pp for lunch at the Verandah or $20pp for dinner at the Kings Court Alternative Dining venue. That's if booked in advance. The prices go up an additional $5pp if booked on board. Those booked on an early QA voyage may be able to provide pricing they are seeing for the dining venues on QA. Our booking on QA isn't until 2025 and I can't see any pricing for the dining venues on that booking yet. Perhaps someone on an earlier QA voyage may also be able to offer details about at which venues the Diamond complimentary meal benefit may be used on QA.
  17. I was able to log into my two bookings earlier today but not now. There's apparently a problem with My Cunard at the moment.
  18. Yes, I post the Cunard dress code and theme schedule documents on my personal Google Drive cloud storage. That way they are shareable files I can keep updated. If I were to post the documents as attachments to a thread here on Cruise Critic, they would become static files as of the time they were posted rather than files I can keep updated as I receive additional schedules or changes to existing schedules and itineraries. I hope that helps explain why those dress code and theme schedule documents are located where they are. Edit to add: When you select the link to the QV dress code and theme schedule, isn't it displaying the contents of a "pdf" file showing you the schedule for QV? That's what's supposed to happen. If it isn't displaying the QV schedule document for you, what exactly are you seeing? Just a generic Google Drive screen or something similar?
  19. As the author of the pinned thread "Dress Code and Theme Schedules for 2024", please do double-check the schedule for your cruise. Log in to your booking in My Cunard and check the daily calendar found there. The dress codes will be listed for each individual day in your cruise calendar. For those days where the dress code is "Gala Evening" it will also list the theme (if there is a theme scheduled).

    3 Queens

Here is a capture from marinetraffic showing QV and QE passing each other a few minutes ago in the early morning hours of 5 March 2024 northeast of Newcastle, NSW. QV is on her way to Airlie Beach while QE is heading into Sydney later this morning. I calculate they were about 10.2 NM apart at their closest approach.

    3 Queens

It may well be. QE and QV will be within a few hours of each other with QV departing Sydney this evening and QE arriving Sydney tomorrow morning. QM2 is at sea between Yorkeys Knob and Darwin, arriving at Darwin on March 6th. All three ships were in Australian waters last year as well though. The closest they got to each other last year may have been on March 5th. QV was at Cairns, QM2 passed close by on her way to Airlie Beach the next day, while QE was across the country at sea between Albany and Busselton.
  22. Here's what I have for Cunard's past history for the six South Pacific ports on QE's current voyage. Lautoka, Fiji: Previously visited by QV during her 2008 and 2010 world voyages. Also a frequent call for QE2. Lifou, New Caledonia: As far as I know, this was a first time call for Cunard. It wasn't in our unseen ports list. Luganville, Vanuatu: Again, as far as I know, this was a first time call for Cunard. It wasn't in our unseen ports list. Noumea, New Caledonia: Previously visited by QV during her 2014 world voyage. Also visited by QE2 in 2004 and 2006. Port Vila, Vanuatu: Previously visited by QV during her 2015 world voyage. Suva, Fiji: Previously visited by QV during her 2014 and 2015 world voyages as well as last month on her current 2024 world voyage. Also a frequent call for QE2.
  23. I'll go ahead and complete the identification of Port F after having identified the bonus photo for port F yesterday. I suppose many of you have already figured out Port F is Noumea, New Caledonia where QE was yesterday. This is the port we've seen once before on this thread, but not from a Cunard ship. That was in @ExArkie's post #3576.
  24. Thanks correct. I must have misread the schedules originally and didn't pick up on Sep 22nd being the evening before disembarkation for those who book one of the cruises that end in Trieste on Sep 23rd. As you say Cunard would not normally schedule a gala evening on the evening prior to disembarkation if there is an alternative. They don't have an alternative on 2-night cruises such as between Southampton and Hamburg on QM2 or Sydney and Melbourne on QE. But on longer cruises they will schedule gala evenings on port days if necessary.
  25. I'll give this bonus photo a try. I think it's recent enough that I can calculate your sunrise position on your past track. Is this Canal Woodin, New Caledonia?
