Just to clarify, now there is no advantage to purchase in advance either beverage package. Whether pre cruise or on board the price is the same: $39.95 or $69.95 per day assuming one did NOT select the Olife beverage option. Correct??

Their discount for booking before getting on board has disappeared so you are correct;  there is no advantage now to buying the package prior to boarding.

They technically changed it as of the 1st sailings after the New Year.  It was publicized on the ship.

Obviously their slow to move internet department could not keep up.

The prices did change on Jan 1st but they also posted this around the same time and I know several people who took advantage of it.  This is what you would have seen up to a few days ago

After receiving different answers from Oceania reps, my TA contacted her Oceania Business Development Manager and they confirmed what you were told - $30 pp pd before you board to upgrade and $40 if you do it on the ship. Here's their reply:

Here is the accurate information reflecting the price changes with the drinks package

    Advance Purchase (Prior to Sailing)
$29.95 per guest, per day – House Select
$59.95 per guest, per day – Prestige Select

    Onboard Purchase
$39.95 per guest, per day – House Select
$69.95 per guest, per day – Prestige Select

That was on the site and just disappeared in the past few days

I have NEVER understood that room! lol....

I agree.  I think they have made some changes to that room on the new ship  The drawings on cruisedeckplans show a l shaped sofa bed and no coffee table.

I took my daughter with me on a cruise in anOceania suite.  I ordered the cot for that media room because the king bed can't be separated(unless it's for Jacques Pepin and his daughter) and I was hoping to have the bed to myself.

Didn't work too well.  The bed was wedged between the sofa and the desk and to get onto the bed you had to fling yourself forward like you were an acrobat.  Picture Patrick Swayze as the bed and Jennifer Gray doing that leap into his arms.

Needless to say it only happened for 1 night.

Checked FAQ and no info re purchasing before boarding only when onboard:  updated 9 Feb now $69.95.

You're right that it has disappeared from every section but it was there last week.  I know some who purchased the pkg at $59.95 and Orv and I both went to our accounts and added it to our cart.  I didn't follow through and I don't think he did either.

Part of the confusion over this is the different ways Oceania describes the cost of the upgrade, and whether it can be done before sailing or not. Both of these links are from their site, but they say two different things.

https://www.oceaniacruises.com/value#value-packages -This says it can be purchased before getting on board.

But this one says "once on board only":

    https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022271214-Can-I-upgrade-my-OLIFE-House-Select-Beverage-package-

One says $59.95, the other $69.95.

    Not sure which is true.

The purchase before boarding Offer has disappeared.

I can speak personal experience. If your ship is at terminal J, the normal Oceania terminal”, on the south side next to the corporate headquarters of RCCL, take the bridge into the port!  If you take the tunnel you end up being directed by the signage to drive last every other cruise terminal.

I guess that is what happened to us in Dec. I thought maybe it had to do with some construction.  Thanks for the info.

This is on Oceania's list of what not to bring onboard:

Items brought on board the vessel and not supplied by the Company containing any kind of heating element, such as but not limited to: immersion heaters, heating blankets, flat irons, water heaters, coffee machines with heating/hot plates, etc.

Here is an example of why Oceania does allow you to bring heated rollers on board- which I have done on 20 cruises with no issues.

I shipped my bag to my cruise last year.  I got an email that it had arrived at the ship.  When I boarded, I waited for my bag to arrive in my cabin.  As we were getting close to leaving, I started getting worried and asking where it was.  Finally someone said it was in the receiving area(aka naughty room).  I went down to that area and the person there thought I might have a heating blanket in my luggage- strangely, they hadn't opened it to check. The person who xrayed it had slapped a sticker saying heating blanket.

I said it was my heating rollers and opened the bag to show them and they said no problem and gave me the bag with my rollers.

Yes, if the credit shows on your account.

Remember that TA provided OBC typically doesn’t show up until boarding.

Thank you.  It's loyalty obc and some O credit because they changed departure port.

Looking at the new price list and thinking maybe I will drink enough to justify it.😃  Only did it once before and didn't drink enough to justify the cost.

  9. Did this ship excursion in December 2022.  So much interest that O had 2 catamarans.  We had 62 people on our catamaran that would probably have been okay with 35-40 people.  I think they counted on people sitting on the netted part up front- think crochet nets.  Needless to say, very few tried it out.  Access to bathroom was a vertical ladder. I should have taken a picture- unbelievable.

Princess Margaret Beach was okay with some shade.  They had the beach bbq there and ran out of fish, coleslaw, vegetables, then ran out of cutlery and plates.

We had a stop in Port Elizabeth which didn't have much charm.

I looked for a private excursion but couldn't find any.

For health reasons I cannot have caffeine and drink A&W root beer at home. Hopefully they don’t only have the Coca Cola produced Barq’s root beer which contains caffeine.

I order A&W root beer on almost every cruise and except for one time, I have always received it.  You do need to order it because it is not something they carry regularly.

My husband and I had a great 4-5 hour drive with Dimitrije the owner of Mont Travelers.  We chose the photo or panoramic tour.  We loved it.  220 Euros for the 2 of us is fine for us. Beautiful views as described and a stop for prosciutto, cheese and bread, wine and homemade brandy - everything was homemade.  One of our favorite excursions.  No churches, no villages or ruins.  Perfect.

Thank you for your review.  I just contacted them to book the tour in May when we get to Kotor.

I see you enquired, but who else did?

I went back and checked and see one other poster mentioned calling. Is there a thread somewhere on a Roll Call or a FB post that has the multiple people on it? I guess I haven't seen those, but have to admit I have not been checking Roll Calls during this period.

The fact that the cruises that were canceled because of the Marina refit( Oct 11 to Nov13) are all back on the site with availability in almost every category would suggest that they got the right information.
