Thank you. It's the Solstice that I am going on and it was the Solstice that said it couldn't be done but that was 2012.

It's been years since I was in a Royal Suite and the king bed couldn't be turned into twin beds because of the single king mattress.
Does anyone know if this is still true?

However, Oceania has decided to move on and is killing off LR.
They are still offering La Reserve ( Odyssey and Dom meal only) but it is in Privee and the pre dinner aperitif is in the Library.
They are also offering food and wine pairings in Toscana and Polo. What disappoints me is that you can't book Privee for a private event and pay $300

We are booked on the Vista in a few months and will be purchasing the Prestige Select Beverage Package (don't judge 🙂) . We booked before "Simply more" so it's a fair chunk of money. I think I remember a few years ago a thread that such packages were increased in January???
If this is the case we will buy them now. if not we will wait a while.
Does anybody know when these increases usually kick in?
TIA
Last year at beginning of January there a deal if you booked before boarding of 59.95 per day and 69.95 if you waited til you boarded. Around the middle of January the pre boarding offer disappeared.

If you haven't found it yet: https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/vista/culinary-experiences
scroll down to the second row and click the Aquamar Kitchen box. This is Vista's menu since Marina doesn't have it yet, but I would expect the menus to be similar if not the same.
Question for @edgee: Are the "bowls" (usually one selection) and composed salads (usually ~3-4, not including the lettuce based ones) still available in Terrace? The bowls are my spouse's default lunch choice and the salads are mine, so it will be more convenient if they are in Terrace too.
Not Edgee but there is still a Bowls section in the Terrace cafe.

My friend was on the August 18th cruise and her travelling companion cancelled 2 days before departure. There was no extra cost to my friend and all the OBC which would have been shared reverted back to my friend.
@LHT- maybe the question should be "will someone who was charged extra when other person cancelled, please post?"

This is the bag they now give on Vista to Concierge and up. It has a snap but not a zipper

Hi, all!
I've heard so many great things regarding both Silver Moon and Elegance, and was really looking forward to booking with either when we port in Barbados next month. I contacted both, and although they both have availability, neither work with our port time 😢 we don't arrive until 9:00am, so they both told me it wouldn't work. The afternoon tours also arrive after our departure, so those won't work either. Extremely disappointing, as we are the only ship in port that day, but oh well. Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
Have you contacted Calabaza. sailcalabaza.com
Just as good as Silver Moon

They are the GM's not the Captain. Dominique is currently the GM onboard.
It's the weekend- I turned my brain to off😂

Damion LaCroix was manager when we got off in Sept. I suspect it will be Dominique Nicole now.

If the Holiday Sale offers the same prices as the Black Friday Sale, then logically the current price of any cruise is now that sale price. What’s the new sticker price?
Interestingly, just read an article where another cruise line is dropping its single supplement charges to move cruises.
What cruise line is that?

When you got the FCC did you get OBC on the cruise you were on at that time? Last year, O was offering $300 obc on your current cruise or the cruise you were booking for.. If that happened , there might be no refund because of the $300 being applied to that cruise.

That is wonderful news. Like Hambagahle said, it's not Veuve but it is a lot better than the awful Germain. I get on Marina on Nov 20th- here's hoping..

We've always found the butler to be quite helpful in obtaining additional reservations. When we board, we hand him a copy of what we already have reserved and our requested extra reservations. Invariably, he's been able to get what we want, albeit at a slightly different time on occasion.
That's because you are special😂

I’d do some research on the HOHO bus. I recall seeing earlier on here of some who have had bad experiences with it there. Was not reliable and took you way out of the main city center and caused you to not have much time to explore the city center area. See Post #25 from the Live From Riviera thread.
If Joan Sheridan is available, you will have the best tour ever- she is a history buff and knows the best places to go. In St John's Cathedral she just bypassed out the people with electronic devices to do the tour and led us right to the Caravaggio paintings and gave us a wonderful history. In Mdina, she knew everyone and introduced us to the Mayor.

Not all of the above options are available in Vista Polo. Have tweaked the menus in each speciality restaurant, not sure if the same changes will be made during refurb of Marina?
Vista is now serving Galatian Beef and there is no prime rib on the menu.

decided to just return to the ship, lesson learned, ask many questions.
What a shame. Malta was one of the most interesting ports I have ever been to. Mdina, St John's Cathedral with paintings by Caravaggio and Marsaxlokk fishing port are all must sees in my opinion.

New itinerary just sent by Oceania; Egypt is now deleted. I feel for the poor staff dealing with this, and heaven help the poor shore excursions folks.
Thank you for coming back to CC to update us on your situation. I hope you will enjoy Oceania when you do sail on her. I read your live posting on your Celebrity Mexico cruise and really enjoyed it.

OTOH, you get travel credits and dining credits that don't go to USA cardholders.
If you think Amex is a bad deal, just cancel the card.
I did

This is new to me. We booked 7 O cruises so far, never got $300 OBC as part of a standard perk. OBC might be part of what TA gives you, or on board booking benefit, or part of Oceania Club, but I never heard about it as a standard perk.
We are Canadian. We pay the same for the Amex Platinum and get half the perks. Amex won't give the 300 plus wine tasting for Canadians and we also don't get no foreign exchange perk that Amex cardholders in the States do.

Delay is not as bad as what happened in 2018. Water levels were too high in Montreal and the cruise departed from Trois Rivieres. Almost 3 hr bus ride from Montreal airport. Arriving passengers ended cruise with an overnight in Trois Rivieres and a bus ride to airport. Decision was only made the day before.
2 pm doesn't sound that bad😀

The penthouses are all the same for sq footage so the deck will be a as wide as Deck 7 ph but not quite as deep. I think it should still fit one lounger. I think the problem is that they don't have extra loungers.

I was in PH 10035 on Vista in September. I didn't hear the TV(maybe they didn't turn it on) but I did hear them talking every day. As Edgee said, I couldn't make out what they were saying but I could hear them and tell which one was speaking.
In May I was in 7024, an aft ph and didn't hear anyone in the next cabin but there was no cabin to back onto our TV.
