  1. We use all different venues on a ship, and each has their merits for what you fancy at the time. Nothing whatsoever to grumble about from our point of view . Lovely to have such a choice. However, just wondered in years to come if there would be a rethink on dining? Just like some of the speciality restaurants evolve, and change on ships. Especially as so many seem to have negative experiences of the mdr and buffet. Btw, I really enjoy the concept of the Quays on Iona and had no mdr problems either. We are on Arvia very soon and I am confident that we will enjoy all she has to offer too. So far, very much liking the new P&O ships.
  2. Just to put a stick in an ants nest....how long do we think it'll be before the buffet and MDR disappear completely on cruise ships? I've not sailed on Virgin, but don't believe they have them.
  3. Nice to see more Americans and Canadians booking on P&O. Welcome!
  4. I feel so sorry for the staff and entertainers who bust a gut and try so hard to please their guests. They must want to weep when they read some of the reviews and comments written in these forums. Let's hope they take comfort in knowing that there are a lot of us out there who appreciate their efforts, and all they do, to make our cruise so enjoyable. 👏👏
  5. Oh Crikey. We have some CK clothing, but are not in our 30's, and only one of us can grow stubble. Hope we are not denied boarding in a few weeks.! 🤣
  6. Well done on making a decision! .....and may all your fellow passengers be nice ones! 🤞😉
  7. ....or take another 2 P&O cruises. Know what I would do.
  8. We were exactly the same. We thought Iona added a breath of fresh air and something different to the fleet. We are booked on Arvia in a few weeks time, and very excited 😊
  9. +1... was on Iona in January. Highly recommend.
  10. I've heard they are trying to perfect a prawn and cheese pie! 🤣 😉
  11. I'll second that. Pearl or Coral, with Coral having the very slight edge. We are early diners 6-6.30 and never had to wait for a table for 2. Have a lovely cruise.
  12. The Godfather? I heard they made him an offer he couldn't refuse.... But he wanted to bring his horse 🐴 😱
  13. I became disillusioned with 2 different TA's during the pandemic, so have only booked direct since. P&O do honour price match. https://www.pocruises.com/why-choose-us/price-promise I have successfully done this a number of times at the point of booking. Anyone I have spoken to directly have been great and very accommodating. If you don't have a preferred travel agent, give them a go.
  14. I am a fan of the open walk in wardrobe too, and very happy that Princess have carried this forward to Sky and Enchanted too👍
  15. Howabout going to the shore excursion desk once onboard and see if anything appeals to you for a nice day out?
  16. We couldn't wait for our 2nd Iona cruise to come round, so have slipped a cheeky Arvia one in while waiting! 😉 Hope you feel better very soon.
  17. I' m sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but I award you 'typo of the week' 🏆🤣
  18. Yes, it can go as an excluded condition but would prefer to have every eventuality covered, especially if going worldwide. Just me being over cautious I guess. He now has annual European cover for £251, so making full use of that! 🙂
  19. DD returned from Iceland on Tuesday and wasn't so lucky during her trip😭Luck of the draw.... she'll just have to go again 👍
  20. DH was covered nicely by major bank while he was diagnosed and waiting for operation. Now he's had the operation (2021) and it was 100% successful, 'computer says no!' 🤷 Tried Nationwide, just the same and other major banks. Has anyone else experienced this? - ie fine to insure before you are fixed but not once you've had an operation?
  21. ....And after the 3rd or 4th, who cares anyway? 💃🕺
  22. https://www.pocruises.com/why-choose-us/price-promise Have all the details of the other TA site to hand (i.e dated screenshot) when you call P&O direct.
