  1. @mz-s posted the calculator. That is a really good resource to help determine if you would break even on the package. @asalligois right that it is around 6 mixed drinks to break even on the Cheers package and 3-4 soft drinks for Bottomless Bubbles. Don't forget that BB only includes soda and juice. You can carry on up to 12 cans/cartons of non-alcoholic drinks per person (12oz or less each) at embarkation and at each port stop. You cannot carry on or check any alcoholic beverages except your allotment of 1 750ml bottle of wine per adult 21+, which must be carried on.
  2. It is VERY rare that a S&S card will be taken. They are in tamper-proof envelopes. It is more likely that someone else used the "aunt's" folio number in error. The S&S cards will be in the mail slot at your room only when the rooms are ready. Until that time, servers can scan the barcode on your boarding pass to charge items to your account. You can still add a credit card when you check in online, or add cash when you arrive, or any combination. There are now kiosks available to add cash to your account so that you don't have to stand in line at GS.
  3. They were comparing what appears in the HUB app (which doesn't say no jeans) to what appears on the website (which includes jeans as a no-go on elegant night). Comprehension matters.
  4. The FAQ's certain do say that, but they also state "offer and/or prices may vary throughout the fleet." I, personally, have never seen the mid-cruise specials priced as such. It's normally $20 a bag and offered once mid-cruise.
  5. You will still have 2 elegant nights plus one "throwback" formal evening. If you were to add that up, it's a total of 3 elegant nights.
  6. I have used Fly2Fun domestically with no issues. You get to select your own flights (which makes it much superior to some other cruise line's programs). There is no hotel program with Carnival, though.

  8. I will absolutely second that!! After my foot surgery, my surgeon highly recommended them. I now wear them almost exclusively, and use their inserts in other brand of shoes.
  9. If you haven't left for your cruise, you can get a refund for it (just go into the Cruise Manager and click on "edit order.") Otherwise, yes, you can use the casino trick to cash it out.
  10. Technically, @mz-sis correct in that you cannot use Cheers after 6am. However, YMMV. We have received our morning drinks from Java Blue on our way off the ship and they were counted under Cheers.
  11. To be honest, there are multiple busses leaving all morning. The time on your ticket doesn't mean anything (just like a time given for FTTF). I know that this doesn't help OP now, but it might help someone else. Just get off the ship and move to the shuttles. They will put you on the next one and each one leaves as it gets full.
  12. Yeah. The one I have pictured is a convertible rollator/transport chair, not just a transport chair.
  13. A rollator is a walker with wheels. A transport wheelchair is a wheelchair that cannot be self-propelled. There are some combo rollator/transport chairs (see image below). That is probably what you are thinking of. They are normally more than $100, but I saw some on Amazon for less than $200.
  14. You can add cash when you check in at the port or use the self-service kiosk on board. Pro tip -- purchase a small amount of cruise cash so that you don't need to be in a rush to get the cash onto your account. Don't forget, though, that cruise cash is use-it or lose-it, so be realistic in the amount you purchase. I normally will do $100 or so just to get us through the first day or two.
  15. Scootaround's "transportable" scooters hold up to 325 pounds and their "standard" scooters hold up to 400. They both will fit into a standard stateroom.
  16. I agree with everyone else. Yes, you can. No, you shouldn't. Use cash or Carnival gift cards.
  17. They aren't going to announce pricing increases 🙂 Would you? I did notice the same thing a few months ago on our upcoming Alaskan cruise. it is likely reflective of an increase in the price that they have to pay the tour operators. I noticed that the cost of non-Carnival excursions has increased as well.
  18. Is the steakhouse worth the extra money? Appears they include bottle of wine. We love the steakhouse and feel that it is well worth the extra charge. They do provide a free bottle of house red or white wine or 50% off wines from the wine list, but only on the first night. Alternatively, I see you can order steak in MDR for $20.00. How does that compare. We've never tried it, but it is the same steak as you would get in the steakhouse without the ambiance, sides, extra attention, etc. Do they allow you to bring your own wine onboard? You can bring (carry on only) one 750ml bottle of wine per adult. If you choose to bring the entire bottle into the MDR or other venue, you will (probably) be charged a $20 corkage fee. You can avoid this by pouring out glasses of wine in your room and then carrying the glasses with you to the MDR.
  19. Yes, you can still get included juices at breakfast on the Lido. There are juices available at all of the bars (and different types of juices than are offered on the Lido) all day. Those are included with BB.
  20. Carnival gift cards are NOT reloadable. They will always issue a new gift card for refunds. @Saint Greg your reload to a Carnival gift card must have been a quick reversal?
  21. You're right. I missed the 20 days part of the post.
  22. I'm still not clear on where the $600 charge is coming from. Carnival does not charge to cancel, they simply retain 100% of the cruise fare that was paid. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3401/~/i-need-to-cancel-my-booking%2C-is-there-a-penalty%3F
