The islands will reopen to ships as soon as possible, I am confident they will be the first major region to reopen to cruising.
well , in the 'old normal' I would be waiting for this schedule also, seeking out a little mini cruise for basically a drive to port, long weekend, and easily put down a refundable deposit
now, in these 'new normal times' we're not giving any cruise line any more monies , refundable or not, until there is a definitive date to re-start cruising
we have a final payment date , for now, of 9/11 , yep, for a late November cruise … we'll see what happens between now and 9/1 and see what happens
stay safe
peace out
side note: I did read today where a restaurant re-opened today in Fairbanks, Alaska

When you book inside the final payment window there is no re-faring. The price is final.
We re-fared 4 times after final payment on our last cruise - booked directly with Princess
a different cruise, we re-fared 5 days before sailing … netted about $ 100 on that one

She has also asked us to wait a few days when we were about to book inside the final payment window because she had knowledge of a price reduction coming down in the next five days or so
why could you not of booked the exact cabin you wanted, then 5 days later , do a re-fare when the price was reduced … sure you would need to pay more upfront, but then have the difference returned back to your form of payment … pre- C-19, of course ...

some have posted that their 'TA's' don't forward move-over offers, and are reluctant to do re-fares since it directly affects their commission … guess it just depends on the TA

@whitecap - thanks - what about the 'doc' in charge ? Aren't they mainly DO's and not MD's ? - and no, I don't have any "facts" about the ratio ...

Maybe cheaper, but guessing with 5000 crew members from ten plus ships, where will you house them for their 14 days quarantine? Tarlac/Clarks Housing they use for Grand's quarantine held 446 members.
so, when the ship(s) get 'there' … are all crew then (re)tested and that's when a new 14 day cornteen ( really like that profile name ) starts anew ?

This was The Princess Representative ,I called Princess direct.
She said 'You would be denied boarding' her exact words.
She personally filled out and sent off form for cruise credit refund.
I am on heart Meditation twice a day twice which controls it.
so, just a random rep at the 1-800 made that decision ???
with no documentation from your or your doctor ???
I've read your prior postings/threads ...

Not for September....yet
I misunderstood then … I thought there were only a couple of ships just doing RT Seattle for the 'season'

I would need to start that at about 8 in the morning and end about 8 at night … a 12 hour ordeal for that amount of food
the wine , well, I could handle that 😃
who's on the staff in VINES ??

I placed the phone call at 1:30 and have been holding on for 3 hours waiting to make a reservation with the princess casino department. Wondering if everyone is actually on other calls or is something wrong.
well, based on the current thread below, and the poster stating they got thru in 3.5 hours …

we've stayed twice - once 2 days pre-cruise, and the last 1 day pre-cruise - 12/3/19
booked AAA stay and park ( just for the night, then in the parking garage at the port) rate
high tower room - ninth floor overlooking the bridge, water taxis , and a great view of 'our cruise ship, Princess SKY' docked at
terminal 2. very nice remodeled room
got there about 11, room not ready, no problem, but let them know we were there and went to lunch - 15th street fisheries - good choice, spent about 2 hours there, then back to Hilton, room ready … NICE !
One downside to note … at that time, the room overlooked a construction staging area for materials, and trash - but very little noise, just not the best view looking down
will try to get in the same area in November coming up … IF, cruises are back up and cruising
-
FCC's and HOLDING ACCOUNT - both money grabs by Princess to 'hold' you to only cruising with Princess !!

Over the last eight years, or so, three different PCPs have introduced themselves to me via e-mail or telephone. I cannot recall one instance where a PCP has provided any added value beyond the service that I would expect from any telephone agent
I've fired one, got fired by one, currently on my third … nada, nada, nada … ha
