  1. Coco-Cola - Sailing is so Refreshing tumblers ... we got 2, err 4 on our REGAL cruise in Jan 2022 - we got a comp upgrade once onboard from a deluxe balcony to a premium deluxe balcony just around the corner (separated by a suite) and got the tumblers for both cabins - ship was at 25% capacity. but nothing on our CB cruise over Thanksgiving... but definitely not 'Dodo years ago.'
  2. what reason did Princess give you for cancelling those prepaid reservations?? Lack of staff and the restaurants weren't open to anyone?
  3. $68!! nope, nope, nope - get rid of the electronics - bring back the cage, balls, cards and your dobber. same in the casino - bring back the slots with 'coins' - and your bucket to collect them when you win and 'get off my lawn!'
  4. so, you had paid for these reservations prior to boarding the ship? good news - you have learned that Princess is not up to your cruising standards on your very first Princess cruise so you are not vested in the cruise line.
  5. what is your backup plan when the ship misses that port for any reason?
  6. UBD was NOT available on our Thanksgiving cruise on the CB - which was full and way understaffed. some have reported here, that they signed up, paid, but once onboard, they were told it was not available and refunded their money.
  7. doesn't answer the question, but you can get unlimited '16 oz' bottles of water with the Plus package.
  8. WHO-DEY! - rematch of last year with the Chiefs coming on Sunday - we watched it last year on the REGAL - froze our a@@ off watching the 1st half on the MUTS - then watched the 2nd half on the stateroom TV.
  9. perfect night for a fire pit by the pool ... currently 67 and sunny - down to 63 by dark-thirty. might be champagne and bacon night!
  10. Black "jeans" are NOT really jeans ... Jeans are 'blue' denim in various shades of blue - with or without holes, either "earned" by wear, or 'store bought' with designer cuts. Much like when you say ' I drive a Jeep' - it's a Wrangler by default, not a spanzy/panzy Cherokee or forbid a Liberty 😎
  11. and it's 'usually' not table availability for normal sized tables of 2-4, but wait staff and cooks shortage. so no problem holding that table for 10-12
  12. our one and only (so far) was an upsell ( yep, back in the day ) to a suite on the Riveria on the CB (sister ship), it was under the ice cream place so we heard some chair scraping in the morning and during the day, but not reall that much that it 'ruined the experience' . That said, we would go for the aft next time.
  13. I guess I was asking what that minimum bid amount might be. I know it's per person and you don't know the specific cabin at time of bid
  14. "when" they ban indoor casino smoking ... are "they" gonna create new outside smoking areas? sure, just make sure those 'new' smoking areas are nowhere on the ship that I might smell them aka the crew smoking areas
  15. without reading all 42 pages (again)😉 ... is/was there a consensus minimum bid on a 7 day upgrade from an interior cabin to a balcony cabin? the current fares are $543 for the interior and $964 for the balcony - std fare, no perks - aft cabins - across the hall.🤑
  16. why have you not had it escalated beyond that person - a month??? by day 2 that is not acceptable and move on
  17. if you booked a $1000 cruise paying $500 and FCC of $500 and had to cancel, how much would you expect back?
  18. our pre-cruise Hilton Marina in Fort Lauderdale has gone up about 35% from Thanksgiving to next Halloween as of now.
  19. we are considering Premier for a little 5 day cruise ... the 2 specialty dinners each brings the value closer to the PLUS package - having our Princess CVP looking into that and possibly applying the medical professional discount. Should hear back later today/tonight/tomorrow. Might be a re-book and prepared to lose our $1 deposit promotion currently booked under.
  20. let's all at least admit that being able to use the 'package' to be able to order 'drinks' to your cabin is really, really nice.
  21. we currently have PLUS and are considering upgrading to PREMIER for our next cruise🤑
  22. when I do that - go thru all the steps thru selecting cabin - I get a drop down of the price, then click on it for a breakdown before clicking continue and asking for passenger info. Edit - and not sure how long those 2024 cruises have been available, as I guess nothing showed up we were interested in enough to go ahead with a booking.
