I went thru this. They couldn't find me. Finally I realized that I had moved since the cruise and I was listed under my old phone number.

I bought a small Internet plan and used my Kindle instead of going g to the Internet Cafe.

During our cabin.crawl on the Gem we went to a handicapped room. It was interior. It was massive. Pick one out then try to Google. Gem cabin #.

On one cruise we all wore Mardi grass beads when we boarded to identify ourselves. At our Meet and greet I had some members prepare some positive questions such as "what one thing should I not miss in the dining room ?" We have done a cabin. Crawl with playing g cards and prizes in the end.. I didn't arrange our last Meet and greet but absolutely nothing was planned. I arranged a cabin crawl ahead of time. We went to several types of cabins. Since I was fortunate enough to have a Penthouse Suite, I had our wonderful butler bring us cheese and a few other snacks.

The most important thing is to keep others on your roll call involved and chatty. Ask for ideas and also ask if anyone wants to coordinate anything. Have a blast!

I generally sail NCL but a couple of years ago I was on a Royal Car ship during Chanukah. They had a small service every night. One night we even had latkes. Maybe someone in Special Services or some such department can tell you. Have a great cruise.

I know that this has been covered before but I can't get my search function to work on my phone. My question is: if you are in a suite I know that you can get room service from any restaurant . If you just order dessert such as creme Brule from Le Bistro is there a charge for the dessert?

Glad you are back! I've been on the edge of my seat waiting to see what came next. I hope that Jenny, Dan Dan and Captain Stephan are still there in May. We loved them in May of 2014.

I had 10500 on the Gem in May. Loved it so much that I book a Similar suite just a few doors down. The balcony was huge. We had 11 people on it after our cabin crawl. It wasn't windy at all, just wonderful. Enjoy your cabin Boopsahoy.

On the Gem I June we had a choice between roast chicken or salmon.. Both were very good. Show was fun.

I had read on these boards that Sinian had left Norwegian. The end of May we had Dan Dan he was excellent. I hope that he is still there the end of May 2015.

What type of cabins are you booked in ?

I have sailed R I 3 Times and NCL 4 times including 2 European Cruises. While I thoroughly enjoyed Royal C I am more comfortable with NCL.

The entertainment on Ncl is wonderful in my opinion. The crew is generally very nice. I always pay extra for a few dinners in the Speciality Restaurants. I enjoy the main dining rooms however I enjoy the quieter atmosphere of the Specialities. The buffets are very good however I generally don't go, again I prefer to be served.there are a lot of small free eateries and places to get coffee. Check ahead of time so you know.

Join your roll call. That's the best way to get info. Are you going to spend a day or two in Barcelona? It's a fantastic city.

There is no free ice skating on NCL, but plenty to do. Again, most of the entertainment is top notch. Get there a little early.

OF - I hope that you have a wonderful time on your cruise. While I didn't purchase anything on my Gem cruise, I totally enjoyed the auction. My friend won a stunning picture from PW during the Spa event the first day.

It was held in the French restaurant. It was a lot of fun. Second City is a hoot.

I had the salmon and it was very good. Others had the chicken and enjoyed it.

I have been following you but I never posted. I just want to let you know that I am thrilled that you are ok.:o

Possibly the Blue Lagoon. A while back that's where we ate on the Dawn once we were on t he ship.

Was on the Gem last month. Lobster night was first night in diningroom. We went when they opened. Chocolate buffet was near the end of the cruise. Enjoy.

I was on the Gem last month. While getting back on board after a day in port we were offered chocolate covered grapes. They were covered in very high quality chocolate.

I just got off the Gem earlier this month and am booked for the end of May in a PH Suite. I have read that the Suites will be redone. What else? Will O'Sheehans replace the Blue Lagoon? Any other changes during dry dock?

If you want a better burger, ask if they can get it from Cagneys.

Probably would work for some folks. All inclusive is a great idea however it would take away the Freestyle for me. I would stress out trying to get my monies worth😂:eek:

Since you mentioned flying. A few cabin attendants I know have said that one of the most infuriating things for them is when they first greet you and say 'good morning sir/madam, welcome aboard' and your reply is '34C?'. It would only take a second to say 'good morning' back, then 'can you tell me where 34C is please'.

 

When they told me I thought I hope I've never done that!

I like pretty much everything. On the Gem the osso bucco and Caesar Salad in the Italian restaurant were awesome. The coconut ice cream in the buffet was great. All of the fresh fruit is a delight.
