  1. We have a cruise in the Caribbean booked for next Spring on Celebrity. We are booked in our preferred category of cabin, which is a Sky Suite. The price was already higher than we wanted to pay, and with this reduction in service if there is not a commensurate adjustment to the fare, we will almost certainly cancel, and take our business elsewhere.
  2. Hello, Hello. There are at least two confirmed cruisers here in Walkertown. It was nice of you to reach out, aimee0715. Looking at your cruise history, I am reminded that my first cruise was on the Grand Princess. Couldn't guess for how much longer, but she is still at sea. NOW to stay on topic: Azamara good. Azamara bad. Something must be done! Patience. Everything will work out, one way or the other, in the end.
  3. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your upcoming cruise, Marylebone37. Understandably, it is frustrating and worrisome for you not to have important details secured a month before hand, it does interfere with the anticipation. To paraphrase: please, don't let imperfect get in the way of good, and possibly excellent.
  4. Although the horse is taking a beating, it isn't dead, nor will the continued bashing and beating be sufficient to seriously harm Azamara. Faults have been found, problems identified, points have been made. For the seriously disgruntled, maybe, just maybe, it is time to consider moving on, figuratively and literally. As for me, three excellent post-covid cruises with Azamara encourage me to continue vacationing with this cruise line in the future.
  5. Then a clear and measurable, if not commensurate, decrease in accommodation rate would be expected for Club Continent suites. On our March, 2022 cruise the butler was excellent. On our August, 2022 cruise the butler was merely very good. However, we didn't need him to be excellent, so possibly he didn't get to show his excellence. Both gentlemen were quick to respond to our few, simple requests. We were pleased with the level of service and felt on both occasions our cruise was enhanced by the butler. We think of ourselves has fairly self-sufficient and therefore low-maintenance, and have been curious about what other passengers ask for and receive during cruises.
  6. as CruzinSusan70 and Astro Flyer pointed out, the question has decisively been answered. currently receiving a 3.4 weighted rating on IMDB. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/cbs-real-love-boat-paramount-plus-1235251048/ "The 2022-23 TV season has its first casualty." The wrong kind of notoriety.
  7. Maybe Celebrity lured Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn away from Princess?
  8. we once went beyond on a ship we traveled at an impressive clip until we encountered rough seas we pitched and rolled by degrees then I clung to my bed by death grip ------------ To all the passengers onboard: may the seas become smoother and calmer and the cross-Atlantic trip more enjoyable. with martinis.
  9. ontheweb, that is funny, and bit sad, too.
  10. A beautiful day, esprit. In the view of Istanbul, I think one can see the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the Süleymaniye Mosque.
  11. Hello CruizinSusan70: The ship is the one in discussion, Regal Princess. Embarkation is May, 2023 The appealing itinerary is British Isles; we thought it slightly better than the a similar Celebrity offering.
  12. caribill has provided support for the perspective that Princes Cruises is executing a planned multi-media/multi-platform advertising and public relations campaign. Due to the multiple challenges the cruise industry is facing, Princess is actively attempting to attract more passengers (paying customers). We haven't cruised on Princess since a thoroughly disappointing cruise in 2013. We booked our spring 2023 cruise not knowing or caring about the "Real Love Boat". What we do care about is a quality travel experience. If the shipboard and shoreside experience is disappointing again, no amount of glossy, slick advertising will make up for the deficiencies.
  13. Although the total number of viewers rating the show is still small, a 4.0 rating on IMDB, lower than first morning average of 4.7, is not encouraging. Could there possibly be positive chatter on the most popular social media platforms, particularly platforms with a young adult age demographic?
  14. Hey, billco. I resemble that remark. I wonder if we were to cruise during the taping of a Season 2 episode, instead of a tote bag, could I get some pearly teeth whitener?
  15. Even knowing we were not the target audience, we tuned in to see the Regal, because like sloopsailor, we are also cruising on her next spring. We didn't make it to the 15 minute mark. Rated 4.7 on IMDB at this moment. The aforementioned "Love Island" has an overall 5.0 rating, so maybe "The Real Love Boat" meets expectations?

    Masks off!

That would have been a sight to see.
  17. Yes, it certainly was. We hope you enjoyed that cruise as much as we did, barneyboy. I had gone to the 11th deck to take such a picture and to catch the sunset.
  18. Taken during the White Night of our recent Greece/Turkey cruise while the ship was anchored near the port for Mykonos, Greece. We have found that the White/Bright Night is the point in the cruise when the crew, staff, and ship shine brightest.
  19. On the new Crystal Cruiseline, instead of a pleasing "bing-bong" sound when your card scans for embarkation and disembarkation, the machines will intone "time will tell".
  20. On our cruise terminating in Istanbul in early September, the cruise overnights in Istanbul before disembarking the next day, Monday Sept. 5. Do we pass through customs on the arrival date, Sept. 4, or on Sept. 5 the day of disembarkation, or both? We are trying to arrange tours and transfer and are trying gauge the time requirements.
  21. Your thoughtful and thorough review is appreciated, junglejane.
  22. I've joked around, however, when it happens, these pests are no laughing matter. I hope you did not carry an infestation with you.
  23. I haven't received my allotment yet, gordylad, you may have mine. It hurts my heart to see people left out.
