I always need a sweater on a ship  for dinner and nighttime activities. I'm wondering if they are keeping the ship extra cold to ward off germs? 

I live a few miles from the Sawgrass Recreation Park. Visitors love airboat rides.  It's a fun way to see a National Park. We've always seen at least one alligator, but it's true that we can go to an outdoor park and not even see a bird at times.  The ride is fun!!!

Does anyone recall if they have no caffeine tea bags and the flavors they have?  I don't drink green teas.  I can easily bring my own, but thought I'd ask.

Does anyone remember the types of decaf teas on board? I don't like green teas so I usually travel with my own.

If things are normal, what time can we get into our cabins? And, do the stewards still do a turn-down service in the evening? Do they sanitize?

How about our sailing on November 27, two days after Thanksgiving.  We hope Walgreens will give test on Thanksgiving.  My local 24 hour one said they will.

Well that would be amazing birthday celebrations:) Hmmm, our last cruise before the pandemic in Jan 2020 has coco cay on day 2 and we still had formal night.  I do agree with the others that I till you see your day by day at a glance in the app, that either changes to your reso onboard or on your app would be the simplest to change. Calling will result in unnecessary stress 😂 

 

also we are Also on an an 8 night Allure with same ports as you so I’m following you closely with your updates and now guessing our port changes will mirror yours. 😉 do you mind sharing the days the ports are now assigned?

You're right!  And then we went through all this for nothing.  But I doubt it would be on the Day at Coco Cay which is where we are on Day 2.  I sort of wish formal night was on Day 2 which is my birthday!

The November 27 Allure cruise changed from visiting Dominican Republic and St Kitts and Nevis to the RCCL private island and Puerto Rico.  While that would not concern some, we've been to those two ports many times and were looking forward to visiting the ports that were new to us.  But, oh well.  The thing that caused havoc was that the first sea day is Day 3 instead of Day 2 which means formal night probably changed. So we needed to change our specialty restaurant for a party of six.  Two of us spent 90 minutes each on the phone trying to do this. And that was after several other phone calls trying to deal with this.  Finally, the 'Problem Solution' office said it cannot be done.  Two of us have a 7pm reservation and the other four have a 7:15 reservation, but not necessarily at the same table!  I'm hoping that when we get on board we can straighten this all out.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I just received my Check-in email.  If I read it correctly, Suite guests can visit the Suite Lounge, and Diamond and Pinnacle guests will get drink vouchers.  Is that accurate?  I'd love to get drink vouchers, but we are Emerald and will turn Diamond on this cruise!  Will someone verify for me?

Is there a library on board the Allure of the Seas?

Which specialty restaurants are open for lunch on Day 1?  Does anyone have the menus for that meal?  Anyone know the price?

I don't want to order expensive home tests if on the first RC is going to say "you don't need if vaxxed."  But I'm pretty sure I read somewheres that they had already made this call.  Wonder why the rep didn't know that?

Be careful of the Home tests. On the RCCL page it specifically states that a home test must be with supervision. My RCCL travel advisor indicated that home tests were permissible, but left out the part about supervision.  Read the information on the site. 

Hi. I always have questions and more questions!  I'm wondering when the formal nights will be.  At Sea days are Days 2, 7, and 8.  I'm very certain Day 2 will be a formal night, but do you think the other one will be Day 7 or Day 8?

And, I'd love to know the passenger capacity of the Allure sailing Saturday, November 27, 2021. That's Thanksgiving weekend, but I don't think it's considered a Holiday sailing. I was wondering what the capacity of the ship has been lately.

We might get a cabin tomorrow. We've never experienced a big ship.  Is there a Concierge Lounge for people in Grand Suites?  Where is it? Is there a coffee maker in the room? Are there bathrobes? Anything that you can share about this type of cabin I would appreciate.

Are there any differences in taking the Tauck tour vs just booking on the AQSC?  Has anyone done this tour yet? What were your impressions?

I canceled my Odyssey cruise in December and changed it to Alaska next July on the Radiance, a smaller ship.  I changed because of our governor's decision.

I'd like to know what this means about the Radiance of the Seas.  "This ship will undergo a recategorization on 9/17/2022" 

We just booked an Alaskan cruise on the Radiance and wonder what the Grand Suite amenities are. I do not see a Suite Lounge on the Deck Plans. 

I'm looking at a cabin that is almost across from the laundry room  on the Marina.  Will I hear the noise from this room?

The cruise I'm looking at starts in Rome and ends in London.  Of course, it's probably Civitavecchia and Southampton.  Will the Olife transfers include transfers between city and port?

I do have an idea about sharing dinner with others.  Perhaps cruise directors will have a cocktail hour where people who would like to share meals with others can meet each other and form dinner tables.  I prefer tables for 6, but even joining one other couple is fine.  

We often meet another couple while on a tour or at the pool, so why not have a 'party' where like-minded people can find other people for dinner?

This is our 4th month of self-quarantining.  We're going stir-crazy!  We pick-up lunch and have dinner delivered on the weekends.  That's our big excitement! We need to cruise! Obviously, we could be in much worse condition. We're healthy and sane and happily married.  But, both of us want to be cruising! We need the company, the entertainment, the smell of the ocean, the glitz, the reason to get dressed.

Thanks.  I just needed to vent.

Any word on the new ship?  I'm booked for November 28 and wonder if the ship is ready and will be sailing.

On the Enchanted these are the most forward cabins on decks 9 through 12. It is a large 550 sq ft (Including balcony) 2 section cabin. The balcony may be breezy while underway because of it's location and the slight wrap around to the bow. You have full suite benefits which are shown in the pdf below. These cabins will be quite a walk to certain public sections of the ship. You can see the layout on the deck plans on the Princess web site.

We booked a Penthouse Suite - S4 - on the Enchanted.  Does this type of suite qualify for these amenities? I'm not sure what a Premium suite is.
