  1. I always prepay, that's how I budget for it. And I have never removed them, and always leave more in cash when it is earned. The crew works too hard to get stiffed because people don't want to pay or have spent all of their money. I am just glad that they make you sign a paper at guest services to remove them. A lady on the last cruise was complaining that she had to sign a paper simply because she refused to tip.

  2. Forgot to mention that Carnival does not do Post Cruise Excursions in Port Canaveral. So we booked their service back to MCO where I had reserved a Day Room at the Hyatt Regency in the Terminal. They have rooms available from 10-6 for as low as 99.00. Were there before 10 and was able to check in. So worth it to be able to drop the bags, nap, eat in the terminal, freshen up before the flights home.

When I checked in online for my flights, I was offered a First Class up grade for $55.00 with 3 free checked bags. Otherwise, remain in coach and pay $60.00 to check the bags. Took the upgrade to save $5.00 dollars.

  3. We had a great time on the Magic, staff and crew great. Captain was hilarious and always telling us to "party on." Loved the Cruise Director Schwartz. He was everywhere and always made it a point to speak.

The VIFP Party was well attended as there were over 400 Platinum and Diamond cruisers on this voyage.

Despite the large registration for the Meet and Mingle, only 20 showed and and even less stayed around by the time anyone from Carnival showed up. The CD did arrive afterwards and talked with us. They did take a group picture of those who stayed and delivered it the cabin later in the cruise.

We had no issues with the food, the longest wait was late at night for pizza.

Looking forward to the next cruises on the Paradise in July and then the Vista in October. Hope to also go back to Alaska for the 3rd time in 2018 as well as we only have Bermuda booked so far.

Will be glad to answer any questions. Thanks for letting me share. Until the next time. Bon Voyage.

  4. Thanks for the review.

Can you tell me what were the inside temperatures were like? If you could give a bit of a reference point - example you keep your house at 73 and you were comfortable - this would tell me I need to pack extra sweaters.

    Thank you.

I keep the house on 70 during the hottest times. I was comfortable throughout this trip. It only got hot while waiting in line for the main lounge.

  5. San Juan, we decided on the Rain Forest Drive excursion, we tried to so this a couple years back after the cruise with airport drop off, but due to lack of booking they cancelled it on us and we had to make other arrangements.

Our guide Alex was the best guide we have had on a Carnival Tour, he explained the history of all things we were seeing and kept us entertained on the 45 minute ride over to the Visitor Center.
