  1. Here is today's list of suite perks. I do see the listing from above. First column, 8th post. Unfortunately, that does not "solve" the issue of having to CALL Room Service in order to have MDR dinner in your suite. I can't imagine Crew Chatting your order. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/products/staterooms/default-suite.html https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/ships/PrincessSuite_eFlyer.pdf Although, in fine print, canapés can include Chocolate Strawberries on embarkation evening. I hope to have answers when I am on my next cruise. Still waiting for Suite and/or Elite passengers cruising now to chime in regarding Tea Service, Minibar Exchange, MDR delivered to room, etc. Someone must be on a cruise now (after the change) and can answer these questions.
  2. You can also pay for it now and then cancel any time in the future. Did you try signing on into your partner's app/account to see if it is there? Or cancel it from that account?
  3. Sort of yes, disabled passengers have "priority" boarding. They are seated in a special section and board as attendants become available. Sometimes there is a long wait. There is no "elite/suite" priority boarding in disabled area. It is first come first serve. I have seen a wait of over an hour waiting for someone to wheel you aboard.
  4. The Magician will rotate between ships during the Alaskan season. He will usually perform the Magic to Do production show and one other show. Then move on to another ship and then back again. Maybe open this up to all ships that leave from the same port???
  5. Your biggest problem will be that your medallion will fail at the worse possible time. Like when you are rushing back to your cabin for an urgent bathroom break and your door won't open. Hopefully, you will be with your DW who's medallion will still work.
  6. I value @HaveDogWillTravel photos and evaluation of the Emerald. She is a well traveled passenger who if very fair in her comments. I was on the Emerald in May. I had a wonderful cruise in an inside cabin. Steward was from China, I think (very unusual) but attentive and friendly. I requested the same table and time for each dinner and was blown away by my waiter, jr waiter, receptionist, and Assistant Manager. Best service I have ever had (outside of Reserve Dining). I thought the food choices were excellent. I am sorry that your family is not enjoying this lovely itinerary. Maybe Princess is not for them. I would never choose another NCL cruise for me. Personal preferences for everyone. I also prefer the Grand/Gem class ships than the new Royal/Sun class ships. I also agree that Princess seems to be trying to hire crew to fill their needs and shortages. There are crew joining the ship at most ports. Some are brand new and eager to learn. Others probably will fulfill their contract and never return.
  7. Agree, name and ship is for the benefit of the medallion holder. When I was in isolation, they did not give me a new medallion. Come to think of it, I don't know if they even added my isolation cabin to the medallion since I did not unlock the door or ever leave the cabin (haha). But I still could be "found". On the other hand, on another cruise, my cabin mate needed to have another cabin for a night (long story). They programmed her medallion to open both cabins. The workings of the Medallion/Medallion Class App is TOP SECRET ... (aka Sheldon Cooper).
  8. My Apple Air Tag holder covers my name and ship. Never had an issue boarding. Security never asked me to remove my medallion so they could read my name. I was on a 25 day b2b. Medallion battery gave out the night before disembarkation (6 pm), I had just checked in at CC MDR (they don’t check medallions after the first couple of nights) when I had to go back to my stateroom. Couldn’t get in…side trip to Customer Service…quick replacement….return to MDR…Table set up for my return.
  9. My TA has told me before, that she is unable to help me out since she is not licensed to deal with insurance claims. I learned a lot from these boards. I was told to make sure that I had a copy of my medical records ($28.00). When I filed my recent claim with AON...I submitted my booking invoice, my medical records, my copy of my final folio showing that I paid the medical center. I also had to submit a claim to Medicare and my secondary company. AON will pay any claims denied or partially paid by either. I just spoke to an AON agent today by phone. She confirmed that she is waiting to hear back from Princess confirming my daily cruise fare and isolate dates. These dates were noted on my Medical Record. AON will be the one cutting a check for my isolation (not getting FCC). It will take longer to resolves the medical fees since I am dealing with Medicare. Without the mentioned documents, it will be very difficult to make a claim. I was told by CC members NOT to walk off the ship without everything in print. I am sorry I can not direct you to the appropriate department. I wish you luck and patience.
  10. Wheelchairs are provided for boarding and disembarkation. Be prepared to wait for an available pusher. You can also request a wheelchair when you return to the port for a ride to the gangway (sometimes in reverse). If you purchased Platinum Vacation Protection from Princess, you can cancel you cruise and get all fares back (except for insurance cost) in Future Cruise Credits. There is an expiration date.
  11. On my New England cruise, I can see Boston and NYC. But nothing else is in view format. But that's a start. Thanks
  12. I am working with AON (Princess Vacation Package). I had to use the Medical Center onboard the Caribbean Princess. I do not have any serious medical issues. I do have Medicare (Primary) and another Secondary (not supplemental) insurance. Just spoke to an AOL representative today. I will be reimbursed by AON for anything Medicare and my Secondary do not cover. Granted, my secondary is expensive but covers a whole lot. Therefore, I do not purchase additional insurance policies above Princess.
  13. Could it be …I have emails turned off on their website?
  14. IF you purchase the package when you make your booking YOU will pay rate at time of booking plus insurance. If you wait to purchase it in July 2024...and the price goes up...you will PAY then CURRENT rate (not today's rate). IF you book it in between now and then, you will pay insurance AND whatever the current rate is.
  15. Good luck: Grand Princess/Radiance of the Sea/HAL. That's a lot of ships in port at the same time.
  16. Which ship will you be on? Can you handle your luggage on your own? You will need to walk over to the SkyTrain terminal.
  17. I did get a rejection the night before my cruise. Not helpful. Didn’t expect it.
  18. My card was charged immediately. I was with the FCC in person. I picked up the print out the next day. My TA did not get notice and when she tried to book my sister, Princess could not see the FCDs. Luckily, my TA had a photo of the print outs with the codes. I never checked with my sister to see if she received an email. Longer story. Funny though, I received emails for my cabin mate’s purchase. That was in error. No way should I have been sent her confirmations. Inly can speak to what happened to me. Glad I could do it. Glad to have the printouts. It was eventually resolved. All is good.
  19. For most of Princess ships (no one knows for sure about the Sun): Insides have bunk beds attached to the wall / lower beds in twin configuration. Ocean View (non existent in Royal Class ships and above) and balcony cabins "usually" have bunk beds that drop down from the ceiling. To access bunk beds, lower beds need to be in twin configuration. Mini-Suites/suites will have a sofa bed that sleeps one (maybe two small children). It will usually have a bunk bed that drops down from the ceiling over the lower beds. Again...access to bunk beds need twin configuration. I have not been on a Royal Class ship, but do recall (don't hold me to this), that a bunk bed may come down over the sofa instead.
  20. bummer. You would think that one of Princess' goals is to reduce waste. How many order but never eat an entire pizza?
  21. I much prefer the nostalgia of the "Historic" locks (Island/Coral) for both the ship (Coral) and the experience.
  22. This "seems" to be the same process as an upgrade bid for more money. You are subject to price of upgrade at time of service (which could be much higher due to demand). Also, you may not have the opportunity to decline waitlist upgrade. Princess may upgrade you, AND put your original cabin back into inventory. You may not be able to retrieve old cabin and then "stuck" with wherever Princess decides to assign.
  23. Yes, you can....But you will not be given OBC for the FCD. It will be considered as a $100 credit payment to your booking. Defeats the purpose of using a FCD for OBC. I am not crazy about the new expiration dates. Must be used within 1 year of purchase date or will be refunded. I have extended 2 and 4 year FCDs. Not sure this new 1 year one can be extended. Doesn't much matter to me. I have many on the books and cruise at least once a year. YES, you may purchase (or have someone purchase) FCDs on a cruise for someone else. You need their Captain Circle Number. It is treated very differently. If you purchase one for yourself while on a cruise, it shows up almost instantaneously. If you purchase it for someone else, there are channels by which it must go through. You are charged right away, but it may not show up for weeks on their account. Be sure to request a hard copy of the transaction that shows the transaction number.
  24. Is it the pizza that is charged? What if: I have lunch with someone who has a Plus or Premier package, orders a pizza (no cost), and shares it with me. Will there be a split charge? Per Person charge?
  25. Let's do a twist to Princess' "reasoning". You are getting more for your package. How about having a check list. I don't want this, I don't want that. Please remove x $$$ from my package. Let's see: Caribbean Princess doesn't have an Alfredo's/Gigi's, Kai Sushi, Maybe Planks and Steamers/Salty Dog Bistro. I don't want the desserts. I don't go to the gym classes. Princess has me paying full price (credit) for Elite 50% off internet. I think 25% off for being elite is a fair price. AND OH....I'm in a suite so room service should be free. Logistical NIGHTMARE (aka Sheldon Cooper).
