  1. You don't...or remove the paper/tape...or use a flashlight...or turn on the bathroom light.
  2. There is ONLY one NOT ACCEPTABLE remember...No one should use duck tape. I am glad you thought of a creative and none harmful way to disable that most annoying light. For YEARS, Princess didn't have them. Safety issue? As functional as the Medallion Class App. I'm guessing that the majority of passengers (50.000001%) hate this latest addition. Any one willing to wager a number?
  3. Happy early Anniversary. So sorry you received the disembarkation sign just days after getting on. Always makes me sad.
  4. Yes, I have found similar schedules, but nothing for 2024. I even wrote to the port authorities...who replied with: "We will get back to you...." and hasn't. Hard to make hotel reservations for 2024. I don't want to wait so long with higher prices and sold out.
  5. This might help. Not sure the reasoning for disembarking 40 passengers in Whittier. Just speculating that some chose to do on the 7 days (Vancouver to Whittier)? Some caught The Virus. But it would have been much easier for passengers to find transportation out of Anchorage rather than Skagway. Appreciate any further updates when your friends are feeling better. Most important would be if they had insurance. I can see why Princess would not allow them to continue on the land portion of the cruise. I didn't know that Princess had a disembarkation in Skagway for a land portion. I have watched youtube videos of passengers joining a ship in Skagway after a land tour. Is this new?
  6. OP stated that it was a cruise/land tour. If it was a back to back, they would have been quarantined on the ship until deemed safe to move about.
  7. Thank you for this thread. May I ask which terminal does Princess use? On my documents, they list Mayflower and Ocean. Did you stay at a pre-cruise hotel? Any assistance and suggestions would be most interesting. As far as Green/Blue lane, did it matter much since many would not have the option to have their medallion shipped to them.
  8. Did you print out/screen shot your final statement while on board? Did it match your credit card card/statement? If both are yes, then just delete the email/pdf. Continue to check your credit card statement for any post cruise transactions from Princess for a few months.
  9. I understand that this is a second hand account post. I am having a difficult time (line) following. The edit says a 14 day cruise/land tour. Vancouver to Anchorage (7 days) then 7 days land tour?) Did passengers have insurance? Did they book through EZ Air? Did they see the Medical Center for positive test? What happened to the "other" 40 pax? Were all passengers stranded or were some of them at the end of their cruise (no land)? If this was at the end of their cruise, they would not have been quarantined on the ship. If they had tested positive for THAT (what ever "that" is), on day 5, they would have been quarantined for the rest of the time on the on the ship from "onset" of symptoms. 5 days in quarantine (or until they got off) plus 5 days of masking (CDC guidelines). Insurance would have taken care of the rest (trip interruption). More information is needed for cc members to reply with suggestions.
  10. Thanks for calling. I will come with all of will power (to be nice). I have lots of days to get this resolved to "my" satisfaction. Not that I would use it. It's the principle. To summarize: 1. No charge to exchange mini-bar. 2. No charge (from someone else) to order Elite/Suite Tea Service. 3. No charge for using door hanger for regular breakfast order. Have a fantastic day tomorrow and every day after that.
  11. Have a glorious voyage. I will be following your adventures. Thanks for reporting on changing out the mini bar. Now to find out if suites will be charged for MDR delivery. If you just happen to run across anyone who may have the answer, please ask. Thanks
  12. And what about the revived... The "New" Love Boat series. Oops, my bad. I was booked Honolulu to Tahiti on the Pacific Princess. Cancelled by the shut down. Then she was sold. That was my last chance.
  13. After many, many, many cruises, I finally made it to the Medical Center. Had the best doctor I've had ever; well, maybe an exaggeration. But he was funny and very personable. He even accompanied me to my cabin. Don't get too excited. He wanted to see which brand of Paxlovid I had brought with me and administer a covid test to my cabin mate. I remember when....they had many episodes on the room tv. I enjoyed relaxing and watching them without commercials. Fun Thread.
  14. When I book a cruise with Princess, I have done it from insides to suites. Depending on the ports (intensive), number of sea days, etc, I may or may not purchase a beverage package. It was fine at $50 and usually did it for the convenience. But when in a suite/elite, there's plenty to keep me hydrated. My next cruise is without. The cruise after that is with. It's not such a bargain when you are Elite or Suite since Princess does not take into consideration either or. Princess really needs to consider a percentage break for Elite passengers since we are "entitled" to a 50% discount on Medallion Net. That's a whopping $7.50 per day that we are being charged "extra" for a package more than the ordinary passenger. They are "making" 12.5% more for each elite. Just give us a 10% reduction or $5 off each day. I can live with that. Over a one week cruise, they pocket $52.50.
  15. I see that you comment @Oxo really wasn't meant for me. Sorry for the error. But I have heard that the Ultimate Ship's Tour was worth the cost. It did more than the ones that "used to be": Used to be: *. tour of the bridge on port day (did this while in Skagway) *. culinary kitchen tour has returned after the pandemic. Interesting but way too long a line. * back stage tour give by a select few cruise directors that followed on stage panel. I've been behind the stage for many different (land) theater. This was more technical and very interesting.
  16. Thank you for your first hand account. With your Plus Package 50 you would still need to "add" the service charges. Please check with your concierge, Food and Beverage Manager, and/or Customer Service Officer to see if they have a policy. It's not the fee...it's the gall of Princess to require a service charge for something that is listed as a Suite Perk (MDR dining room in your own suite)
  17. ????? Jody's presentation was a "free" cruise director activity. It was worth every cruise penny I didn't pay for. Always wanted to do a Ultimate Ship's Tour and should have done it when I first started cruising and was in much better shape. I have had bits and pieces of seeing the crew area. Glad she took the time to share her videos and photos of behind the scenes. One of the best cruise directors I have run across.
  18. What’s a BDM? I understand that this “might” not be fleet wide consistent. I am waiting to hear of actual experiences verse what is written. I can’t believe that no suite passenger has reported back.
  19. I am poster #66. Is poster #65 currently on a cruise. Or has a cruise booked and received communication from customer service for upcoming cruise? I guess, I just want to hear from a suite passenger …. who has been charged … and how it was handled onboard.
  20. Wow...thanks for updating us. So glad you didn't have to escalate this and spend more time than you already have. Did you work with a TA?
