  1. KYBOB-Thanks for the info. I see we both need to get the picnic lunch for $50 but that's OK. I'm sure my husband will nibble on most of it. Cabana #10 looks good we both like to be in the shade. I will try to reserve that one at the shore excursion desk when we get on board.
  2. KTBOB- I am not the OP but I have a few questions. Can I order the picnic lunch and not my husband? He likes the regular buffet but I would like something different. How much is the picnic lunch per person? Why is #10 cabana your favorite?
  3. Wishing on a Star- Thank you for the video. The food looks delicious!
  4. Me and my DH have a bungalow rented for our cruise on July1 2023. My husband likes the beach buffet but I prefer something different. Can I purchase the picnic lunch for just myself or do we both need to purchase it? What is the current price?
  5. MissP22- I hope you are right I really enjoy the Norman Love desserts.
  6. That is just why they might do it to encourage all the people who like the Norman Love desserts to upgrade to the premier package.
  7. I wonder when the new premier package starts will these desserts only be available to those guests?
  8. I also bring the above items and I would add Gatorade packets they are easy to pack and are good if you get any stomach issues from Covid, gastroenteritis or to much partying the night before.
  9. If you are booking separate cabins with different booking numbers you only need 100 shares as long as both your names are on the stock.
  10. I I thought the opposite was true. You can carry over brewed coffee, hot chocolate and tea but not specialty coffee. This is good to know because I would never get a coffee card on the first back to back cruise because I did not think I could get my cappuccino on the second cruise.
  11. MixerDave- My father passed away in 2010 we were at Normandy Beach in 2018. I hope he was looking down on me and knowing I was walking in his footsteps.
  12. Our Sept 1st cruise on Diamond Princess said "Currently Not Available" for about 2 weeks (I checked it daily) then about 2 weeks ago we got an email that the cruise was cancelled so we had to scramble to find another vacation to take. I would recommend to think of a plan B just in case the cruise is cancelled.
  13. We also used Overlord tours we got a group together from our roll call it was a great but a very emotional tour for me because my dad was on Normandy Beach and was a POW. I highly recommend a private tour.
  14. I just got an email from Princess yesterday they have cancelled my cruise maybe that is why I could not sign up for internet for this cruise.
  15. Yes I have looked on the app and on my PC an I don't see it on any of the options.
  16. Where do I go to buy internet minutes pre cruise? I went to the board services section and it is not there for my 5 night cruise.
  17. It was Clontarf castle it is in the city of Dublin we went on a tour with Princess and had them drop us off about a 2 blocks from the castle. The castle has and old part and a newer addition. The reception is in the new part and our room a king suite with the huge bed, dormer roof and claw footed tub was in the old castle part and was amazing! We were able to explore all the nooks and crannies of the castle and had dinner there. The next morning we went to Trinity college for the Book of Kells that tour we booked on our own. Then we walked around Dublin on our own. Princess had a free bus in town that we got on to take us back to the ship. I loved the experience it is one I will never forget!
  18. In 2018 we did a British Isles cruise with an overnight in Dublin Ireland. We stayed overnight in a castle ( I've always wanted to do that) we did not need to inform anyone on the ship that we would not be there overnight but be did inform our cabin steward that he would not need to clean the cabin in the morning. I agree with the above posts that if the ship moves overnight you might need to inform Princess regarding a deviation.
  19. I agree with post #9 I would purchase one for his head and one for his legs and try them at home see if that works before bringing a chair on board that might or might not be allowed or fit in the cabin and you would have these for future vacations.
  20. I usually make a photo book either from an on line site like shutterfly or mixbook or an actual photo book (yes I'm old school) and I put on in that and the other one goes on my refrigerator with my other 50 or so magnets of our travels.
  21. I don't think you will need the wool socks but I recommend to bring a variety of clothing options. Short sleeve and long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, pants or jeans, waterproof/windproof jacket and waterproof sturdy shoes. I also like to take a buff it can be uses in many ways.
  22. I agree about wearing a buff. They are quite expensive so I made my own very easy to make and I added some elastic at one end to help hold it around my nose and ears.
  23. We were on the Discovery Princess in April in cabin E109 (all the way forward) Yes the balcony doors open.
  24. MsSoCaLCruiser- I have only found it in lemon-lime, fruit punch and orange. I usually buy it on Amazon but I occasionally find it at my local store. Esprit- If you are using a handkerchief for covid symptoms it is best to use a tissue and dispose it then wash your hands. Reusing a handkerchief can spread germs.
