In August, prior to our Voyager cruise, we stayed two nights (on our own) at the ION City Hotel right in the city. The hotel had a good vibe, restaurant below, and was nicely appointed. We had a room that faced the front that was on a closed to cars. It was near bars so we heard loud, boisterous noises, due to jet lag we fell asleep easily. Over all, I would recommend. The city is easy to walk with lots to see.

I've spent 100 nights on Voyager and never noticed any unusual vibration. Navigator has a bit of it but I like it!
I’ve not experienced the vibration on Voyager but former passengers do mention it. On Navigator for more than 200 nights, is not a problem as I don’t book the aft suites.
One of my favorite videos I took on Navigator. Leaving port in Galileo’s. I call it “Self-swirling wine glass!”

After sailing on the three newest ships, going on Voyager could be a step down. She is an older ship, has a known vibration and isn’t as glitzy as the new ships. You will find the food, experience and service similar. If Voyager has the itinerary you want, than give her a try.
I was on Voyager for two weeks in August and we had a great time.

You put the Regent luggage tag on your bag right before getting on the ship: right before you leave the hotel or airport on the day of embarkation. As @wishIweretravelling said, they are extremely sturdy.

Thank you so much for all of your very helpful information. I will definitely be ordering the avocado toast and the Ahi Burger those are right up my alley, even though donuts aren't my thing but I do like croissants...I will try to cronuts too. My husband will probably love the cronuts, he does enjoys donuts and croissants. If the gym is well equipped that will definitely please my husband. I am so glad that you are having so much fun on your cruise. I am sure that we will have a wonderful cruise too!!
Try the cinnamon cronut!

@CatServants The photos in the #16 post are not of suite 600. At one time, many years ago, there was a photo of the main area of the suite. From what I can remember, there was a huge column in it. I continue to search for it but haven't found it.
I have stayed in both even and odd suites on deck 6. It's my favorite deck: close to the Coffee Connection and the Navigator Lounge, or what we call our living room!

Thanks, all! I didn't know if they had anything special for these days.
There is a pre-dinner party in one of the lounges for all those "new to Regent" passengers. After dinner, the show in the Constellation Theatre is an introduction to all the performers on the ship. Each group does a short song/act.
Block Party!!!
Usually on one of the first nights (but not the first night), at 6PM, captain hits the gong and guests are invited to go out into the hall with glass in hand. The suite attendants are there with wine and appetizers. You get to meet your neighbors and sometime during the party, captain, the general manager, the cruise director with a camera person runs by to say hello. The next morning during the Morning Show, the CD will show the video. It's a good way to meet your neighbors.

How long do Captains stay on?
Usually captains and general managers are on for two months on and two months off.

I’m confused which ship did you review?
Oh, my mistake. The LIVE thread was on the Mariner. -
You can read this LIVE thread just completed.
I cruised on Voyage in August and found the ship in decent shape with some needs to address, like mold removal needed in the shower and upholstery updates needed.

Happy for Captain Luciano and the staff and crew. We cruised with many of them on Voyager this summer. Definitely the Dream Team!

If you look at your invoice you won’t see port fees or taxes listed. Since they are no longer listed, you won’t be refunded if ports are missed. They were removed from the invoice some years ago.

Normally an F2 is sufficient. Any thoughts on whether it's worthwhile upgrading to an E? Pretty much comes down to pre-cruise hotel (which do they use in Miami?) and wi-fi logins (we'd need 3)--or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
It depends on your Seven Seas Society status. If you are Silver and above, you will receive prior speciality restaurant reservations and shore excursion reservations. In other words, you get to book earlier than others. If you are Gold, you will receive $100 shipboard credit per suite and four Wi-Fi logins for four devices per suite. If you are below Silver or Gold, you may want to book an E suite.
I prefer the F2 suites myself.
Hotels in Miami are easy to book on your own and transportation to the pier is not an issue. The hotels Regent uses seems to be influx right now. Ask your TA to find out.

May I ask please? - how far in advance of your cruise did you submit the shareholder form? Thanks.
You can submit the form up to 1-2 months before you sail.

….. but wondering if there are other "sea day" things (special chef's tables, etc) I should take into account instead?
Best suggestions for ways to spend a birthday on a sea day on Regent welcome!
Fun activity to do on the Explorer style ships are cooking classes in the Culinary Arts Kitchen. These can be booked through My Account and the current cost is $89 pp. Since you are planning a special dinner in Chartreuse you may want to book the morning class.

I mailed in my OBC shareholder request about 10 days ago and I it's not shown in "Manage This Cruise/" How long does it usually take to post the credit?
I always email my request and usually hear back in two days, but don’t remember how long it takes to show up in My Account. It also shows up on your final invoice.

The cruise director on Voyager is likely to be David Nevin, with Alex as his assistant and Anabel as social hostess. They were all there in June. All three of them are moving to Grandeur for her maiden season. That's either happening in October or November.
David Nevin left Voyager on August 28 for vacation prior to joining Grandeur for the Inaugural Season.

Newbie to Regent here. Curious as to why you ask the question. Is s/he someone a traveler should seek out? Have only been on bigger cruises where it would be impossible to find/seek out such a crew member!
On Regent ships, with passenger levels from 490, 700 and 750 capacity, the staff members are easily approachable and become friends/friendly with.

Did you look in Regent Roll Calls/Mariner?
Peggy, no roll call started yet for 2026 that I can see.

@WNcruiser Steve, thinking of you and Joey and hoping you are safe from flooding. What a way to return home from a wonderful cruise!

Time for Disembarkation
in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Posted
Most of the time, suites need to be vacated by 8:00am and many luggage color tags begin to be called. Usually everyone is off the ship by 9:00am but some straggling passengers are on until 10:00am.
