  1. Yes I am sorry I appeared harsh. I know the route is pretty and pleasant for a long stay out but for my legs it would be a long walk and a long day. I am happy I can take a bus from the port to be nearer the centre.
  2. A walk of 45 minutes (for you) to the place where you are supposed to be going to isn’t good enough. I shall be catching the local bus to town. Although as the OP wants to go to the Oceanografic they will be quite happy with the new shuttle drop off point.
  3. The new shuttle stop in Valencia is at the Science Museum near L’Oceanografic. In Marseilles it is near Fort Saint-Jean at the opening of the harbour. In Cadiz you are usually right in town and there is no shuttle. Do not know about Alicante.
  4. They are not very appetising. The rice pudding with Soy or Oat milk especially so. It should be called Soy or Oat water.
  5. Thank you for your news from Ventura. We are on her later this year and are looking forward to it.
  6. You go to the left and past the big round pool. Just a bit further on you can see the tram station. Buy the tickets from the machine, it has English and you need the station at the end of the line. Face backwards to get the best views. When you get off head north.
  7. Turn right and walk along the front past the hotel with the bay in front over the little bridge ( you can feed the fish with bread from here). Carry on as far as you like then turn left and return through the town.
  8. Yes this place closed down and then reopened under new name and the people had to re register. so few NHS dentists around now. Our dentist changed to private last year and no where else to go so now pay.
  9. The one time we berthed here was on Arcadia in 2017. It is not much difference in walking to the other side.
  10. Not sure if OP is changing complete cruise or making a small change to their cruise.
  11. Glad you have got back home and hope you can recover fully from your illness. So much going round now and hitting people hard. Best wishes to everyone under the weather at the moment.
  12. Stayed there as well in room above. Huge thunderstorm with view over the course. Great people watching and good food.
  13. Lovely flukes. Was this an ordinary boat or a RIB boat.
  14. We visited the Baltic last July on Princess and visited both Tallinn and Helsinki. The only port cancelled was St Petersburg which was replaced with others some time before leaving.
  15. When we went on our city tour we ended our visit at the Naval Museum. Wonderful air conditioning.
  16. Let’s hope it only occurs in the Caribbean.
  17. We are with Allianz through our bank and they do not offer the added missed ports cover which also does not bother us. The insurance is valid up to the age of 80 which is good. Glad you are being dealt fairly by Allianz. Hope you improve soon.
  18. Surely this is only if you want the cruise cover urgrade i.e. port cancellation etc which is extra for each cruise now. If you dont want this upgrade you dont have to advise regarding each cruise the same as any holiday.
  19. We watched in the dark on leaving New Orleans and, as I remember, after the city there was very little to see as the river and delta are very wide and in the night just black.
  20. Yes our transits were both in the dark, same as our transits to Quebec. I really like to see more of the river scenery when travelling up the river. The sail away from Stockholm was great going through the islands in daylight.
  21. It shouldn’t affect the basic premium as @Selbourne said but I think that due to the recent catalogue of missed ports on cruises the add on premium could increase. sorry you missed Key West, we enjoyed our visit there.
