  1. TripAdvisor is not a travel agency. Do you mean that you found the tours/ companies on TripAdvisor?
  2. This was for Blackberry Cars, Majestic Taxis, Meadway, Limo. All were at 143.00 but Blackerry was at 183.00.
  3. All quotes I have received start at 140 and up. Blackberry Cabs was the most at 183.
  4. I have gone to their website and am unable to make the quote form work. It will only accept today's date for pick up. I guess I will contact them. We also have a long day, flying to the west coast.
  5. I understand I am allowed to name them. I am.not sure, but I may be able to come up with the company. It was 4 and a half years ago.
  6. Almond milk was available in the IC on the Emerald (May 2022) and the Grand (September 2022).
  7. You have a very good point, that many now have the package which includes a specialty restaurant.
  8. I have answered above in red. This was true for the Emerald last May and the Grand for last September. Our steward scrounges up a pad and pen for me. I just brought my own in September. We were in deluxe balconies each time.
  9. No, there is not a way. Many people have said that they can get the charge on their credit card reversed, once they are onboard and use OBC. However, you can use OBC to book shore excursions. This is the only exception.
  10. I suggest to people to experiment with the ratio they prefer, by putting half and half in a small container. Then taste it and determine if you want more of the oil or vinegar. Then you will not waste a large batch of the ratios you do not like. I do not use oil but do a dressing of 3 tbs. balsamic, 2 tbs. mustard, 1 tbs. real maple syrup. You can change it up with different kinds of balsamic and mustard.
  11. Has anyone requested grilled veggies? Without oil would be great.
  12. And what about espresso drinks or decent coffee at the International Cafe??? Hubby gets hot cocoa each morning and night, so there you go. And I love my Caramel Macchiato s each morning.
  13. "Healthy" and "Good choices" are in the mind of the beholder . We are talking Keto, Vegetarian, Paleo, Mediterranean, Atkins, WFPB Vegan, Atkins. Every one of those has an idea of "healty". You need to be your own watchdog and advocate. Olive oil may be fine for some and to others it is poison to their arteries.
  14. Thank you so much for your experiences and suggestions. I wish I could do even olive and coconut oil. I am fortunate as I love salads and lots of greens. I actually used to eat raw oatmeal straight out of the "box" when I was little- I love it!
  15. Just 10 months ago, cruisers with covid were treated like lepers... removed from their cabin by crew wearing "spacesuits", leaving their partners behind. They were moved to the Aloha deck balconies and quarantined with good luck getting your food and beverage orders. And this was on the day BEFORE disembarkation. Then they were privately bussed to a Heathrow hotel and required to remain their for 10 days before flying home.
  16. @corncat Just FYI... the on land crew is typically not necessarily Princess employees... therefore the difference in attitudes. They work for the port.
  17. Thanks! Was this in the buffet?
  18. Thanks for posting. People always question me, what do you eat? We will not have Club Class dining so I hope that the main dining room can be as accommodating (on the Sky). What were some of his favorite dishes for lunches and dinners? Does he consume oil? Thanks!
  19. I am pretty imaginative and plan on doing what I can. I will let them know I am vegan and maybe the other stipulations and see what they can come up with. They seem to be very accommodating with passengers. I am pretty knowledgeable with what has sugar, flour, oil. At least if they are aware, then that is a big step forward. And admittedly, I may not be as hardcore on vacation regarding white flour, sugar and oil. I always seem to manage when not at home. And the improvements in the buffet are very encouraging. And salmon is always an exception! Yum And we will be on the Sky in June and it looks very promising.
  20. You sound like someone who is not being familiar with being vegan. That is the response I get when they say what CAN you eat? YES, I horribly miss milk chocolate, caramel corn, etc. Fortunately, I love to cook and do almost everything from scratch. There is actually a a "Whole wheat white flour" that is a different breed from white flour or whole wheat flour. I have made fabulous pumpkin bread with it. The egg substitute is flax seed and the sweetener is real maple syrup and the "butter" is unsweetened applesauce. I make my own salsa and toast my own tortilla chips (corn tortillas). I make my own Marinara sauce and use whole wheat pasta. We eat lots of salads and I use black beans. I have made french toast using whole wheat bread, flax seeds and water is the egg and use real maple syrup. The Instant Pot is great for soups, pastas, artichokes.
