  1. Absolutely! Fill us in after your wonderful trip.
  2. Club Class is only available for those with Suites or Mini-Suites, therefore those passengers can board when suite customers board, regardless of status.
  3. No worries... it was our 5th Alaska cruise. The first one also departed from Vancouver.
  4. My point was that Club Class means a suite... so the Suites are part of priority boarding.
  5. When we were on the Grand last September, we departed from Vancouver and due to a part needed in the engine room, we did not leave port until about 10:00 pm. Therefore, it was dark going through that beautiful portion of the Inside Passage.
  6. As stated: Handicapped, Elite, Platinum, Suites. Club Class would be a suite; are you Elite or Platinum?
  7. Not all suites have larger balconies. Be careful.
  8. Aft facing Caribe deck- the balconies are much larger. WE were not crazy about the Emerald last May, but maybe the crew and vibes have improved. But we have not been on the Ruby.
  9. In our experience, as someone else stated, it is Elite, Platinum and Suites have priority... BUT that is AFTER handicap/ wheelchairs. Get there anytime and they will sort you.
  10. Vegan, yes. However, the WFPB (whole food plant based) vegan diet goes a bit further. No oils, refined flour or sugars are permitted because they are inflammatory for the body. It is a bummer, but I am trying to get my body back on track. Once you gt used to it, it is not so bad. My own dressing is composed of a real authentic balsamic vinegar, a mustard (I like spicy), and real maple syrup.
  11. I sure hope so! WFPB Vegan dressing is another issue... I may bring my own, but what a PIA.
  12. @cruisemom42 I hope you have a FANTASTIC time!!! We are all looking forward to anything you may share.
  13. We have found EZAir much less expensive than booking wit the airlines (international). Book as soon as the fares are issued because you can keep an eye on it and if the fares decrease than you can change with no charge. As @Steelers36 has stated, we have not found any decrease in the domestic fares.
  14. I thought that the aft crew smoking areas are now a thing of the past. They were able to smoke on the promenade deck (aft when the start up began and now can smoke in their regular forward crew area.
  15. They may have ordered a roll-away... that does not mean it is confirmed or they will receive one. Also know that this is a small balcony.
  16. I am allergic to feather pillows. I hope to get something else onboard.
  17. Everyone I talk with says they loved it. Our daughter's in laws were invited there for a wedding a few years ago and were very impressed. Her in laws had "hosted" a foreign exchange student when their kids were in high school. The parents were grateful and returned the hospitality by inviting them to Japan for the wedding.
  18. Mine says the same thing. We have booked EZAir.
  19. There are some fabulous itineraries out of Vancouver: 11 day on the Sapphire 14 days on the Grand We did a long one on the Grand last September and we love that ship! Keep in mind that Hubbard Glacier is fabulous and I actually prefer it over Glacier Bay. Some of these do both. I would prefer September because you have more chances making it all of the way into the fjords.
  20. You can see that the Baja deck is covered.
  21. Descriptions and prices are the same. Very strange... or no proof reading involved?
  22. Congrats about your DD! You definitely know more than me about Japan! Yikes!😳
  23. Between TripAdvisor (using it as a tool to also help confirm opinions on CC) and CC, these two resources really have been the only way I have been able to book our shore excursions, transfers, hotels. I am very grateful for both.
