  1. But it isn't everywhere. There are still some deals to be had out there. Some cruise lines are still doing 2x daily stateroom service with daily gratuities at $16 or $17 per day. Not that we need 2x service, but right out of the gate we are finding more value on other cruise lines, even if the base fare is similar.
  2. Could be uninformed first timers, blind loyalty or some combination. I think NCL missed revenue projections a few months ago, though, so not sure how that happened given the current environment. But, yes, much better values to be had elsewhere. To each their own....good luck to all with NCL.
  3. Best pricing on NCL is 3-14 days out based on availability. You'll give up your ability to select a cabin and miss out on any cruise next double up offers, but you'll get a great fare and significantly reduce the likelihood that NCL will rearrange your itinerary and port times for "unforeseen circumstances" like port congestion or environmental initiatives.
  4. Industry standard. Not always a refund, but free upgrade or OBC. If the company line is book early for best prices, then.....
  5. I don't find facts illogical. The whole incident started because the family was not able to board the shuttle bus. Yet, your prior comment omits this critical detail as the event that started this mess. Hilarious!!! 🤣 🤣
  6. Good guess, but its wrong. No skin in the game here. NCL got this right in my opinion.
  7. Really? NCL is no stranger to bad press. So why this time? More importantly, it sets a precedent for future cruisers.
  8. Totally false. We sail where we find value and have had memorable experiences on NCL. Moreso in the distant past, not so much recent past. We wouldn't write off NCL and would sail NCL with the understanding that itinerary changes happen frequently. I post on here to provide information and receive information and intend to continue doing so. If that bothers you, then I can't help you. Your princess review is offtopic on these boards.
  9. Do you expect them to announce their fault? What would that comment look like?
  10. Basically, it is called blind loyalty. Their judgment becomes clouded and they are unable to process information fairly. Fair minded cruisers quickly figure out who the loyalists are and can decide the level of credibility given to some of the hilarious responses.
  11. I think it is coming sooner than later. No direct knowledge just speculation based on the recently announced P&O ship transfers and the prior Costa transfers.
  12. If I have to choose between 15 Woodfords or 15 coffees, well, I think you know what my choice will be. 😝😝
  13. All you need to do is take a picture of your passport before your cruise. Upload it your secure storage on your phone and that will be better than having nothing, in the most unlikely event you will need it.
  14. Ahhh, you've lost me with the implication that they couldn't find a passport. That has not been reported anywhere, including by NCL. Adios, mate! Have a good life.
  15. Wonder no more. It has been reported over and again that they did not miss any bus. They returned to the bus timely but were directed to wait for the next bus due to overcrowding. They had no reason to not comply with the direction. The next bus never showed up.
  16. Ummm. It has been reported that NCL did not leave the proper passports with the port agent which created problems. Details, details.
  17. Well said and you are 100% correct. NCL has rightly owned their mistake and have done all that they can do. We applaud that. Most fair minded cruises get it, but their are few that may not be able to wrap their heads around NCL ever making a mistake. It is always the passengers fault.
