  1. Good afternoon everyone from the Rotterdam somewhere in the Caribbean. A very nice ship that we are still getting to know. We’ve been enjoying Club Orange so far. Today we are relaxing in our Retreat Cabana that we were lucky enough to snag at the last minute. Thanks for the daily updates. I will celebrate the opposite day today, from digital to analog. After experiencing a lifetime of going digital I prefer analog. The meal and drink suggestions sound good. I have not been to today’s port. Praying for those on our prayer list. Cheers to those of you who are celebrating happy events! Bon voyage to @Nickelpennyand @cat shepard!
  2. Good afternoon everyone from sunny Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. Enjoying our extra vacation day this Fat Tuesday on the beach at Lago Mar Resort and I did have ice cream to celebrate. I like being imperfect and am glad there are no rewrites. The meal and drink suggestions sound like good choices to me. I haven’t been to today’s port. Prayers for everyone on the prayer list. Cheers to those celebrating happy events! Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday, they worked and we traveled uneventfully.
  3. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. Happy Birthday to Abraham Lincoln. Hugs are a good thing any day. Interesting quote. Yes to the meal and drink suggestions as long as it’s a gin martini. I haven’t been to today’s port. We’re heading out for Ft. Lauderdale at lunchtime ahead of the storm tomorrow. Prayers for those on today’s prayer list. Cheers to those who are celebrating happy events today like @MISTER 67, happy birthday! 🎂🎉🥂
  4. Good afternoon everyone. I’m late to the daily today with a good excuse. We were supposed to fly to Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, right in the middle of one of our only snow storms this winter. After mass this morning DH made the comment that maybe we should try to leave tomorrow instead. After a call to the airline and hotel we were successful and that’s been today. We were in pretty good shape as far as packing was concerned so now we’ve gone from 45rpms to 78! A good collection of days and quote. The meal sounds like a great Superbowl snack. We were in today’s port last September, I’ll try posting some pics. It was beautiful and very crowded. Prayers for those on our prayer list today. Cheers to those celebrating happy events!
  5. Good morning everyone. Thanks for our daily dose of useful information. Happy Chinese New Year! Please pass the cream cheese brownies. I doubt today’s quote would go well if it were possible. The meal suggestion is one of my favorite holiday side dishes. The drink sounds tempting and almost a mocktail. I haven’t been to today's port. Prayers for those on today’s prayer list. Cheers to those who are celebrating happy events and happy birthday to @Haljo1935! 🎉🎂🥂
  6. Here here to what RuthC said and she probably never even heard of Rudy De La Mor from Chicago. May he rest in peace!
  7. Good morning everyone. Thanks for today’s report, recipes and lists. I really appreciate the work that you kind folks do and I hope that I don’t take it for granted. Funny thing about bike to work day is that when I first woke up and before I read this daily, I saw a gentleman out on the sidewalk preparing to take one of the blue bikes to work! Bagels and lox sound wonderful. We cut the cord years ago and purchased a digital antenna instead, one of the best household financial decisions we’ve made as we’ve saved thousands of dollars over that period. I like today’s quote very much. The meal and drink suggestions sound like winners to me. By the way, we made Sunday’s ground beef and broccoli stir fry last evening and it was delicious. I have not been to today’s port. Prayers for those on our prayer list. Cheers to those who are celebrating happy events today!
  8. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. Hats off to the Boy Scouts who taught me how to tie a square knot among other valuable things. Wouldn’t it be nice to get rich for laughing, on the other hand I think you do. The quote reminds me to buy some valentine cards. The meal and drink suggestions sound delicious. I haven’t been to today’s port but the photos are very nice. Prayers for those on our prayer list, I hope things improve. Cheers to those celebrating happy events today!🎉
  9. Good morning everyone. Thanks for our daily updates. E-day, hmmm don’t think I’ll give that much thought. Hats off to the ballet and school plays that lift our spirits. The quote is a good pause for thought. I love acorn squash but probably not as a soup. Not sure about the drink. I’ve been to today’s port and enjoy it very much. 10. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. A salute to all African American coaches. There should be zero tolerance for female genital mutilation. I won’t celebrate lame duck day. Funny quote. I think I’ll take a pass on the meal selection today but the drink is always a yes for me as long as it’s made with fresh squeezed lime juice and not sour mix. I haven’t been to today’s port. Prayers for those on our prayer list. Cheers to those celebrating happy events today!
  11. Good morning everyone. Thanks for our daily updates. I think that I could create a disaster with a chocolate fondue! The quote isn’t very nice. We’re about to finish a jigsaw puzzle today and I do go for long walks every day thank you very much. The meal sounds tasty as does the drink. Usually find that one at Chinese restaurants. I like today’s port very much although I haven’t been in over ten years. Prayers for those on our prayer list. Cheers to those of you who are celebrating happy events today!🥂
  12. Good morning everyone. It’s a cold and sunny morning here, 30F. Thank-you for our daily updates. I’m with @puppycanducruise on the days. The quote is interesting but most that make the journey don’t seem to make a return visit, maybe the transition isn’t as bad as we imagine. The meal sounds delicious and pretty simple. Not sure about the drink. I haven’t been to today’s port thanks for sharing all of the wonderful photos. Prayers for those on our prayer list. Cheers to those who are celebrating happy events today!
  13. We used Flight Ease last fall for our return flight from Athens to Boston via Montreal on Air Canada. We were able to snag Dreamliner business class seats for a very good price, approximately what we would have paid for economy had we booked on our own. Our experience was very good although you do give up some control. For instance, our original layover in Montreal was 1.5 hours but was later changed to 4. I tried having Flight Ease rebook to an earlier connecting flight to Boston but it would have been an increase of several thousand dollars, I didn’t like that and we ended up just waiting it out.
  14. Good morning everyone. It’s our first sunny day since in what seems like the sun was invented! Thanks for our daily report, recipe and lists. Lots of nice days to celebrate today, John Singer Sargent is one of my favorite American painters. I like the quote, a precursor to the Monday morning quarterback. The meal sounds delicious, our slow cookers are getting a workout but this is their time of year. I had to look up the drink and I think I’d like it made with diet root beer. I’ve been to today’s port several times, I’ll try attaching a short video I took in 2009, my only photo. Prayers for everyone on today’s prayer list. Cheers to everyone celebrating happy events! 15. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily updates. Looks like the groundhog is predicting a short winter although they haven’t really amounted to much lately anyway. The quote sounds like a bad dad joke. The meal sounds delicious and something I might try over the weekend. Not sure on today’s drink. I haven’t been to today’s port. Prayers for those on our prayer list. Cheers to those of you who are celebrating happy events. Happy Friday!
  16. Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit. Good morning everyone and thanks for the daily updates. Another gloomy day here. A pan of peanut butter fudge would be nice for candy making today. Our car insurance was paid in the fall and I’d rather not think about it until next fall. While it’s a good idea to change your passwords I won’t be doing that today. Interesting quote. The meal suggestion sounds nice but I’ll save my mint julep for the Kentucky Derby. I haven’t been to today’s port but I hope to someday soon. Prayers for those on today’s prayer list. Happy __________ to those of you celebrating today!🥂
  17. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. I don’t receive SS for a couple of years but DH gets his first check in March. A Brandy Alexander sounds like a reason to celebrate. Haven’t gorillas been maligned enough already? Funny quote. We’ve been having red lentil and sweet potato pie the past two nights so a pass on the meal but the drink sounds nice. I was in Belfast once but don’t have any photos. Prayers for everyone on our prayer list today, I hope things get better. Cheers to those celebrating happy events like @Cruzin Terri setting sail!
  18. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily updates. I would love a chocolate croissant this morning but will have to wait until we sail on the Rotterdam in a couple weeks. My drawing skills would render something along the lines as Dino from the Flintstones, if I’m lucky. We’ll escape to Ft. Lauderdale two weeks from today. The quote is pretty accurate from my experience. I like the meal and drink suggestions very much. We should all be so lucky to have a neighbor like @ger_77, what a gem! 19. We took the train in October and stayed at the Hotel Abbazia, around the corner from the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. It was so convenient and allowed us to maximize our time there without having to shuttle around to get to and from our hotel and train station. The train station in Trieste was a 15 minute walk to the ship.

  22. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. Two very somber days to recognize; why are some humans so evil? Chocolate cake can be celebrated every day as far as I’m concerned. Funny quote this morning. The meal sounds good but I’ll pass on the drink, don’t like Campari. I haven’t been to today’s port.
