We took the train in October and stayed at the Hotel Abbazia, around the corner from the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. It was so convenient and allowed us to maximize our time there without having to shuttle around to get to and from our hotel and train station. The train station in Trieste was a 15 minute walk to the ship.

Brrr, good morning everyone. It’s slowly warmed up from 14F when I woke up to a balmy 18F now. Not complaining though because I do like the cold temps occasionally. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily updates. While I do like dark chocolate I’m not so sure that it’s the same thing as bittersweet chocolate. I’ll spend some extra time with my houseplants today as I got most of them from my long gone grandmothers. Since it’s going to be in the upper 50’s we won’t need to turn the heat on thereby saving energy. Not so sure that I agree with today’s quote, most here seem to be enjoying rather than fearing it.
