As to the cruise not showing on Celebrity's web site, our December cruise disappeared for a few hours one day this week but is back on the site now. I'm guessing they were doing inventory maintenance, or whatever they call it.  It did not disappear from my future cruises.

Phew! 😂 It’s stressful to do things a different way and it doesn’t go as expected. Thanks so much for replying 🙂

The perks won’t show up in your Celebrity account for awhile, normally close to final payment.  That would be the beverage package and wi-fi and those will shown in your order history.

Contact the TA and request that they send you a copy of the  Celebrity Booking Confirmation -Guest Copy.

    ok great, thank you!

  3. I’ve got a couple questions about a booking I made yesterday.

I was looking for a short inexpensive cruise to bring my mother on for her first cruise and being in Canada I wanted to price out Carnival in Canadian dollars so I went to a big box retailer that starts with an E….

My search results popped up a super cheap 6 day on Celebrity Equinox for next year that included all the perks. I was surprised because I had looked at the Celebrity site first and didn’t see this one. So I went back on their website to look for it and it doesn’t show up!

Normally I book on the celebrity website so I was a little apprehensive but I went back to the TA and booked it. I took screen shots of the booking that says it has all the perks included.
After a couple of hours the booking showed up on my Celebrity reservation page but it’s still not listed to book on their site!!

    so 2 questions

1 Why wouldn’t the cruise show on the website. May 21, 2023 celebrity equinox

2 Should the perks be displayed anywhere on the booking?  I’ve got a screenshot of the page saying it is but nothing on the receipt says it is. I normally book direct with celebrity so I usually get the big confusing price list that has the plus this amount and minus that amount but the TA’s doesn’t have anything like that. Is this normal?

Sorry this turned into a novel 🤦🏻‍♀️

  4. While I don’t agree with all your comments I think this is definitely the right decision. I feel anytime someone is worried about not having a good time on their holiday they should rethink going. There are a lot of changes going on right now and it doesn’t seem like you can know exactly what is going to happen. If you are not the kind of person who would be happy with this (I’m not) then you should definitely cancel!  Lots of other holiday choices to be had!

  5. I agree with the above poster who said unless you’re wearing a very tight n95 mask you are not protected. Most ppl aren’t wearing the paper or cloth ones close enough to their faces to do much of anything. Also, most people leave their masks off the whole time they are eating. I myself put mine back on when the server is coming to the table. But again, I’m not wearing an n95 when I’m doing this. (Which is why I’ve only eaten out twice this winter)
Unfortunately you have to be extremely careful with this variant which is why it’s spreading so fast.  I’m glad you didn’t get too sick. ❤️

I emailed our TA yesterday with the same concern. He responded this morning.

"Good morning. You can use your fcc’s on your January 8, 2023 Beyond sailing. Celebrity will honor fcc’s on the Beyond. That policy of not using them on the Beyond lasted about 2 minutes and they changed it real quick. You are good to go"

Thank you! Good to know 😅 It’s still not allowing me to do it in the website so I’ll give them a call later today. 👍

  7. Hi all, I hope this hasn’t been asked and answered a million times.

I received my FCC today but when I tried to apply them to my November Beyond sailing it says

Your selected sailing date is not eligible for certificate redemption.

I’ll have to phone them tomorrow but I thought I’d try and get some info before I did.
Just in case I get someone new.

    Thanks!

Our health unit is report 300 new cases since December 23, ( 60 cases a day ) there is 185,000 people in the health unit

usually there is less than 5 cases a day

it appears most cases are people who are vaccinated and the vaccine rate is not to bad in our area

so it is double surgical mask or N95 when we go out , and hoping Celebrity changes Final payment date to 30 days for April cruises

I am in the same health unit area. While I agree that the numbers going up calls for a lot of caution we are still only at just over 400 total and only 2 in the ICU.
Hopefully people didn’t go full ham at Christmas and kept their contacts low. 🤞

Probably just a different responsibility centre within Celebrity that handles excursions and cabanas. That's why refunds come in dribs and drabs rather than a single payment. I start a new spreadsheet for each cruise, and then track all credits and debits. With cancellations, there tends to be several lines with the credits.

Yes I’ll make sure to keep good track.
    thanks again!

(I’ll put my vote in for YouTube videos as well 😉)

  10. Another question, after cancelling I received emails that said my drink and wifi upgrades were cancelled but nothing for my excursions or cabana. Did the lady forget to do this or is it done automatically?

I REALLY hope I don’t need to phone back 🤦🏻‍♀️ rookie mistake not checking before I got off the phone.

No, it was a new booking without FCC but it was made quite a while ago.

I think I’ll put on my ‘on hold waiting hat’ and give them a call tomorrow.
I’ll report back what happens 🙂

Does anyone that cancels now under the cruise with confidence get the full year from cruise date to rebook and use fcc? I went to cancel my January cruise  today and it says September 2022. We are wanting to book rebook in November.

I can phone but just wanting an idea.

    thx!

Turns out the date on my booking was incorrect. Shocker!
I have until 1 year from original sail date or December 31, 2022 whichever is longer.
I cancelled but didn’t rebook as prices jumped up $1100 since this morning!!!

I guess a lot of people are moving cruises once again.

Where are you seeing that site? I'd be curious what it says for my upcoming cruise.

    I went into already booked.
    View vacation.
    manage your vacation.
    Clicked on Reservation Details.
Then there’s a blue banner that says

    Cruise with confidence flexible cancellations.
clicked on that and it shows.

I've been keeping an eye on the CWC policy as I'm considering cancelling as well. There has been nothing on CC's Celebrity board suggesting a change, nor is there anything changed on the Celebrity website. The current policy, copied below, indicates that you have until December 31, 2022, so a November 2022 cruise should be fine.

Cancel up to 48 Hours Before you Sail

You have up to 48 hours before you sail to cancel and receive 100% Future Cruise Credit to use by May 31, 2022 toward any sailing through December 31, 2022, or one year from your original sailing date, whichever is later.
    • For cancellation within any phase of penalty, refunds will be issued as Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for the full cruise fare amount.
    • In order to receive 100% FCC, your booking must be paid in full.
    • For cancellation outside of penalty, your refund will be issued to the original form of payment. (Only applicable in countries that offer a refundable deposit option).
    • Nonrefundable Deposit Bookings: If canceled outside of penalty, the full deposit amount will be returned (without penalty) in the form of an FCC. If canceled within any phase of penalty, the cruise fare including full deposit (without penalty) will be issued as an FCC.
    • Bookings made with FCCs from suspended sailings will also benefit from the new Cruise With Confidence policy.

The only thing that comes to mind, other than the usual potential issues with Celebrity's website, is whether you applied an FCC to this cruise that had an original "use by" date of September 2022. In that case, might they apply the same restriction when it is reissued to you? That's not something I've seen addressed on way or the other under the CWC policy.

As I'm sure others face a similar situation, please do let us know what you find out.
