  1. Does anyone that cancels now under the cruise with confidence get the full year from cruise date to rebook and use fcc? I went to cancel my January cruise  today and it says September 2022. We are wanting to book rebook in November.

I can phone but just wanting an idea.

    thx!

I had the same thing happen.  Put excursions in my cart on Mon, Dec 13.  Went back to pay for them on Tue and they had gone up 25-30%.

Apparently the "Black Friday Sale" ended on Monday.  They talked to a supervisor and would not give me the lower price back.  I don't remember sending an end date on the Black Friday Sale when I was booking.

Very frustrating.  Cost me over $400 on all excursions!

It was a very confusing sale.
I’m not sure if the website had an end date but the emails did. Hopefully they’ll run another one for you.  🤞

  3. I phoned and asked to be upgraded from the included surf package (1 device) to stream (2 devices). I’m select. She only charged me $118 cdn….I’m really wondering now what she sold me lol. I questioned it 3 times because it seemed too low to me. Be I was assured that we could both use it at the same time and it was the faster/better WiFi.
we’ve decided to leave it and each log in and out if needed.
    Maybe I got a sale? 🤷‍♀️

The sale prices are back for my cruise too. Anyone know how long the sale is on for?

It’s been weird. They’ve been going on and off. I would book the ones you’re interested in now. You can always cancel later.

A question about pre-boarding wifi purchases. It seems that is cheaper for 1 passenger to buy a plan for 2 devices than 2 passengers buying a 1 device plan each. I'm assuming there's nothing to prevent someone from buying a 2 device wifi plan and allowing the other passenger to use the WiFi plan simultaneously as long as both people are using the same logon ID and password?

I upgraded to stream with 2 devices today. The celebrity lady told me that my sister in law and I could each use the wifi at the same time with this plan. I’m assuming we’d use the same login as her login would be for the included surf package. But I’m just guessing.

I think you answered my question… one that I booked Monday is now on sale. Sounds like you can’t cancel & rebook. Oh well, not a huge price difference on that one anyway.

I’m a novice with ship excursions - we normally book private tours but with COVID changing port rules frequently we decided it might be best to go that route this time - so am learning as I go!

If it was me I would phone them and try and get the price adjusted. Don’t mention anything about not being allowed and see what happens. Sometimes a little sweet talk helps too! 😂

I think that this whole "sale" is a bit weird.   I was able to book an excursion yesterday for 30% off - I had saved a copy of the shore excursion brochure so I could track pricing.   Today that excursion is back to the full price, but other excursions have lower prices.   None of these have sale banners letting people know what is "on sale".

In your case, I'll bet the price in the cart was the sale price and now it is back to the regular price.

I was thrilled with the 30% off - it's an Alaska cruise and none of the excursions are inexpensive.

Yes I think you’re right. Unfortunately I was about to book it and then read they may be coming on sale and couldn’t be cancelled and rebooked so I waited. Bah! It’s not the end of the world as it’s only $30 each difference (not like some of those Alaska ones) but still super annoying.

Per your request, here was our experience this past week.  We had two port days reserved ($99) and due to port changes, one became a sea day.  Celebrity did not ask for more $$. 😄

While the ship only had around 900 passengers (30% full), we really enjoyed the alcove for some of the day.  It was quiet and nice place to sit in the shade and read a book.  We had an attendant (Bernard), who would bring us drinks and allowed us to order from the room service menu.  He had a fruit and cheese plate prepared for the time of our choice as well as several bottles of evian water.  There was no mentioned of a bottle of champagne or liquor.  The only negative (depending on what you are looking for) was when the afternoon movie started (or the Sunday NFL football games); the volume was turned up obnoxiously loud.  I don't know if they have one setting or were expecting a larger crowd or wanted the pool crowd to hear; but it was loud (and I enjoy rock concerts so loud doesn't normally bother me).  They do have some lawn chair loungers that if you want to get some sun (vs the shade of the alcove); the attendant will get you one.  There is a phone in each alcove that rings directly to the attendants cell; so he's on call for you.  Bernard was also a waiter at the porch; so during lunch hours he was not around as much but still would send someone out when we called.

I want to mention only 2 alcoves were rented for one day & the other 3 - so I don't know that the attendant bringing drinks is normal; or just because they were crazy slow & he had the free time to do so but I would imagine you would see the same crowd levels in Jan.  For us it was nice.  We did have a lot of OBC to burn but we enjoyed it a lot.  Until the movie started.  But we just left and then returned once it was over.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh thank you so much! That’s perfect.

We did end up booking one on a port day to try it out. I figured we can always cancel it if we want to. This makes me feel better about it for sure 🙂

new to this forum but interested to know views on PUP for booking cruises - My view is that I am annoyed that these offers have come twice AFTER I have booked a cruise.  Do people actually book because of the extra 5 club points?

I think if I was getting ready to book a cruise and I only needed a few points to get me into another level it might make me do the booking now.

I don’t think it’s enough points that it annoys me that I missed out on them.

Are you saying you can see all sailings?  I only see the sailing that I am currently booked on.  How do I bring up another sailing that I am not booked for?  As soon as I open my app, it brings up my March 2022 booked cruise.

Yes. Someone posted the instructions a while ago that told  me how. I wish I could remember who it was to credit them. But here it is.

Open the app and go to the far right page that shows your sailing info.

    Hit ‘select a different sailing’

’get more details on ships we support’

    ’Celebrity reflection’

    select date

You should now be able to go back and choose the main dining room and see the menus. As well as the planners and bar menus etc.

That might be a tough call if any ship was full. Right now with reduced capacity sailings and it being a January sailing one could find ample seating most anywhere. One also doesn't know how the weather will be that week. There are bars near most every venue and friendly wait staff. Sometimes one side of the ship is 'better' than the other (consider ocean breeze direction). Got off Equinox and Edge, alcoves available every day.

Yes that‘a our dilemma right now. We were thinking it might be nice to treat ourselves and have our own little area but not sure if we really need it. Trying to find current info is just about impossible lol.

    I appreciate your input ❤️
