  1. That’s the correct BC. You have nothing to worry about! Enjoy the cruise 😊
  2. I could never see anything through those dirty lenses to begin with! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰
  3. That's been my experience as well on Carnival. Since the restart, they've denied me all three Carnival cruises I've taken. Princess, on the other hand, approved my request on the one post-pandemic cruise I've taken with them. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  4. My wife and I will be onboard as well. This will be our 4th Alaskan cruise, with the 3 previous ones being sailed with Princess. We got a very good casino offer for this cruise of $100 pp for a balcony cabin and couldn't resist. We also get to sail on a new ship (for us) which is always fun. πŸ™‚
  5. It’s not how much you gamble, it’s how long you play. The house edge, which is built into every game, says the house will eventually get a percentage of your money over the long run. The longer you play, the more offers you’ll get. However, there is no hard and fast rule on what exactly those offers will be.
  6. Maybe it's just me, but when I was a kid my parents didn't cater to my tastes. I was offered whatever was being served and if I didn't eat, I went hungry. As a kid I would have been ecstatic to be offered free roam at a buffet so I could choose exactly what I wanted. πŸ˜‰
  7. I'm in the same boat. I say it all the time to random people while chatting about cruising, forgetting about the inside joke. They must think I'm an idiot! 🀣 Personally, I blame @Saint Greg πŸ˜‰
  8. Nicely done. I've been first off the ship before but never dead last!
  9. It definitely IS a deal breaker for me when I'm risking double what I normally would on the original even-money pass/don't pass bet ($10 versus $5). The odds bet (taking or laying) is the only bet in the casino that pays true odds and has zero house edge (by itself). I choose to play where I can maximize that particular bet. In short, different strokes for different folks.
  10. Absolutely. Just can’t take your original pass/don’t pass bet down (but you can always take down your free odds bet).
  11. @Saint Greg Looking forward to following along on another cruise adventure with you! A little off-topic, but I wanted to offer my congrats on your website. It must be getting some serious traffic these days because I Googled to find who will be our CD for an upcoming Alaskan cruise we've booked and your website popped up number 2 in the search results! That's mighty impressive being listed at the top of any Google search result. πŸ‘
  12. Thanks for the detailed info, Crapster! I play craps exclusively and am disappointed to hear about the $10 minimum and only offering single free odds. We're taking our first ever cruise on Royal this September - I guess I won't be playing. The good news is that I won't have to risk my normal craps bankroll. πŸ™‚ For anyone interested, Carnival Corp. ships (Princess, Holland, Carnival, etc.) still offer $5 pass line minimums with double odds. Again, thanks much for the craps report and stay away from any bets in the middle of the table. πŸ˜‰
  13. Please report back if you can, regardless of outcome.
  14. Ah yes, looks like you had a room at The Omni. One of my fave hotels, especially that one. So much to do/see/eat within a very short walking distance. You even got a nice view of Point Loma. πŸ™‚
  15. Just be grateful he wasn't a close talker. Thanks for another great review, Greg!
  16. Wakey wakey, Megan, eggs and bakey πŸ₯“ 😁
