  1. We were on the Regal in March of this year and the ship was great. Food was well above average and service was good. This ship would probably be my first choice when booking.
  2. I have taken 30 trips on Princess and like everyone else we have had our ups and a few downs. We just got off of the Regal Princess on Sunday and can't say enough about how wonderful they were. My husband's luggage did not get to the port in time for sailing so he boarded with no clothes. No time to buy any either. Princess was on the phone and internet every day with with American Airlines to try and recover the bag. They finally sent it in 5 days. Unfortunately they did not have much for my husband to purchase onboard (mostly clothing for women). The concierge gave him a new pair of shorts he had purchased and each night our room steward pick up his clothes and returned them clean by 8am. They also gave him onboard credits to purchase what he could onboard. They didn't need to do this, it was not their fault. The food in the dining room was very good and the service was as well. My only complaint was the Crown Grill which has ordinarily been my favorite was not good. As a side note, American did not get our bags back to us on our return trip as well. They sent a text that they wouldn't arrive and said to click the link to have it them sent to our home. We did that, however, they gave it the same claim number as the outbound problem. Since we received that bag they have closed the case!!! I am now going to have to drive to LAX and retrieve our bags. (Min. 2 hours round trip plus who knows how long at the airport). Yes, I have tried to call for 2 days and won't tell you how bad their customer service is. Avoid American Airlines if at all possible. Also, we were flying first class. The bathroom was broken, no entertainment or internet. We were in seat 2A and had to go to the back of the plane for the bathroom. It wasn't the distance, it was just that they had carts in the aisle so had difficulty getting back there. Ok I vented, sorry to put you through this!
  3. Sometimes not until you are on the ship, and sometimes before you leave.
  4. We attended 360 on the Discovery I am a fussy eater and allergic to fish. Instead of the octopus they gave me a eggplant dish - very good. There is more than enough to eat, and it would be hard to eat everything. Technology was great, a lovely experience.
  5. My error, they do include the specialty dinner!
  6. Have they made any changes to the full suite benefits? We were in a suite in December of 2022 and it included the Specialty Dining the first night. Since it was on the Discovery it did not include the enclave, but I don't see that listed anywhere on the other ships either. We are in a suite this weekend on the Regal so hoping we will still get both of the benefits. There is nothing listed for the specialty dining either.
  7. Ok, I reported this to the email address that you provided. The only reason that I answered the phone was because my phone said it was Princess and we are going on a cruise next month. When we cruised in Dec. we had gotten a call from Princess to attend the 360 dinner. Didn't answer that time, but they did invite us again when we got on board.
  8. In regards to the hotels, he said they have deals with many companies ie. Hilton etc. Since the pandemic I have been booking direct with Princess and do not have a CVP. Maybe I will send an email to Princess to see if it is legit. We are not going to book through this as it doesn't sound legit to me. Yes, they said that if we book and took the insurance, then if we had to cancel we would only be out the insurance. You are right, I will not give my cc information to them or anyone cold calling me. This was the first time I heard about this so thought I would give people a heads up. When I google the phone number he gave me it is coming up as Princess.
  9. Has anyone else received a call from Princess offering this new benefit for elite passengers: Commit and pay (either immediately, or over a year) for a mini suite $7499 total for 2 You receive: $6000 in future cruise credits that can be used to pay for this cruise or another: 7 night stay for 2 at a resort 2 nights stay at a hotel (2 times) 750 promo points towards discounts on merchandise $300 OBC All has to be used within 18 months I normally don't answer the phone, but since my phone said Princess I did. You are probably thinking like I am that this is a scam. He did know how many cruise days I had on Princess, and when and where my last cruise was. I didn't book it as I don't trust phone calls like this. If he had offered something in writing from Princess I might have considered it. He gave me a phone number to call if I change my mind, and it is the Princess Cruise Planners number.
  10. I was on a cruise once where an elderly lady sat up top and fell overboard when getting up to disembark. Then her husband jumped in to save her! Needless to say it created additional work for the crew to save him as well. FYI - all were ok.
  11. Yes, it is on 17 I believe. Right below where you go upstairs to the sports court. They also have pickleball in the sports court.
  12. We just got off of the Discovery and had a Vista Suite in front and I wouldn't book it again. It is really too far from everything.
  13. I have always given priority to scooters as well, however, this lady (I use that term loosely) had a walker. The she jumped in and put her body in the elevator I don't see her needing a walker. I didn't know that the doors would automatically close at one point, this is good to know. I will no longer book on 17 forward either. We had a suite which is why we were there. 17 forward is really not a good location for other activities.
  14. Sorry if this is long! We were on deck 17 and kept waiting for an elevator, it would go up to 16 and then back down. My husband finally used the stairs, but since I had the suitcase I waited along with 3 other people. Finally the elevator came, we got in, and then of course stopped at each floor to pick up people. Once full we had to turn others away. We then got to a floor where one person had a walker and one a scooter. We said there was no room, but she demanded that people get out of the elevator for her. Claimed she had called 911 (not for medical emergency) to get an elevator. You know what they told her. When the elevator doors started to close she threw her body into the door frame and smiled. Said if we didn't get out no one was going anywhere and she wouldn't move. I have never experienced a crazy person like this on board. There were a few people a little younger so they get out to make room. (They didn't have luggage.) Then she dropped her bag and some of her items fell out so we had to wait for her to pick them up. I got off at 7 and she was still going down to 5. When I got out she told me she hopes I get dementia. What a way to ruin a cruise. I hope I never become that bitter in my life! Stay away from those crazy people...
  15. Normally they book it for you and leave information in your suite of the time. If it doesn't work for you, you can call and change it.
  16. I love the toasted almond martini!
  17. Yes, I have filed a claim as soon as I received the bill. Still waiting for resolution. Purchase was in March so they claim I should know what they are going to do by mid July.
  18. I purchased a silver necklace at Arte Maria & Panchos in the shopping plaza off of the pier They double billed my credit card and so far I have been unable to resolve the issue. After going through the area for security it is past the large store, towards the back of the shopping area. Be very careful if you go to this store.
  19. I have tried for the last 30 days to book a fight through easy air. Each time I get a message that there is an error and I need to call. When I get through I get a number of excuses: Too early to book (even though it is within the window), try again in 30 days. Also said that we I couldn't be transfer to easy air for help until 30 days before the cruise! Another said we don't have flights on American (even though I see the flights on easy air. Finally the person said she found the flight I wanted. Although we were booking first class she said we need to have seats in row 32. I pushed back and repeated it was first class and should be in the first rows on the plane. She finally found seats, and then after reading all of the agreements you need to agree to, she said she got the same message that I needed to call and had to transfer me. Ok, this is the second time I have been transferred and no one ever answered. I just hung up after 3 hours on hold. First time was only an hour and a half! Needless to say I give up. As you know flights continue to go up each time you look. The flights we are looking at have gone up $200 each since I began to try. I believe my only option now is to cancel the cruise. We are Elite and have taken 27 cruises on Princess. I can't believe how bad their customer service has become. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, otherwise we are out of here! Yes, I know I can book direct through the airlines, however I was trying for flexibility.
