This is the last year that the Cruise To Nowhere will be allowed, so I would doubt if the availability or the price will change much.

I was on The Getaway last Thanksgiving: (1) food everywhere including a hot dog stand for all those watching football in the Atrium. (2) Thanksgiving dinner on the menu in the MDR (3) Class Room type decorations everywhere. (4) Staff loved Thanksgiving- most did not understand the history but they loved the food and the football- what they understood of our version of football- very different from their fotball especially the cheerleaders.
Best cruise I have had in a long time. Had so much fun I am going back this year for Christmas.

I have had 25 Norwegian cruises on a variety of ships from The Sun Class to The Getaway. My standard answer to your question is: whatever ship I happen to be on the moment this question gets asked.
-
About one and a half.
-
I have done the 10 Day Eastern Caribbean and loved it even if it was over Super Bowl Sunday.
I would love to do it again.
-
Keep in mind that very few people who have been on a particular cruise take the time to write or post reviews.
Staff changes occur on an almost weekly basis: go on or coming from vacation, coming from another ship within or another company or yes a brand new hire.
December is a graet time to cruise. Have fun.

What ship did you buy the ring?
There are different shop vendors on the Breakaway and The Getaway than on some of the other ships.

I will be on The Sun on September 28th out of Vancouver.
At the moment, I have a cruise booked on The Pearl for the 28 November 2016. I have 3 other cruises booked to fill the time before Her.

Think John Travolta Saturday Night Fever- loud disco party. You are encouraged but not required to wear white.

I have on been one cruise that did not have a M&G scheduled. Don't remember the reason.
I will agree that only about half the the people that say they will attend actually do. The ships have a formula that says if the headcount is one figure, they prepare for this figure. My last Alaskan cruise this past Spring, the Hotel Director said we had a much larger turnout than they had expected.
I would not worry about a missing M&G or lack of activity on a Roll Call ruin my cruise.

With Captain Tommy on board, I would not worry about it at ALL. He is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced Captain. He will keep you as safe as possible.

JC Sanchez in October He should go on vacation in November and do not know who will replace him.

I will be on The Getaway for Christmas this year and I can not wait.
-
The Getaway is a Sunday- Sunday and The Escape is Saturday- Saturday.
I am doing it in March. Only ONE round trip flight from the Pacific Northwest. To me is is perfect.

Who were your Senior Hotel and Bridge Officers?

I just did an Alaskan cruise in May on The Jewel. We sailed a circle into and out of Glacier Bay. There was not an excursion offered. The only small boat that came to the ship was to deliver and pick US Forest personnel, who gave presentations on board ship.

I have just finished my 25th Norwegian cruise and leaving in a month for number 26, all as a solo 60 something widow.
I have sailed on a number of the Jewel Class ships, the Dawn, The Spirit,The Sun and 5 times on the Getaway. Other than the size, I don't find a lot of difference between any of them. I buy excursions on board ship after a discussion with the Shore Excursions staff. I ask, "Would you let your Mother or Grandmother go on this excursion?" If they say Yes, I purchase it.
My advice would be to find a cruise that interests you, book it and go. Please find the Roll Call for whatever cruise you choose and make friends before boarding the ship.
Have a great time.

WOW!!! Very good news for Norwegian, the Port of Seattle and the City of Seattle.
-
Lots of FREE activities everyday listed in The Freestyle Daily. Try the Ropes Course, Walk the Plank, any of the waterslides.
The Getaway has something for everyone. Even if you do nothing but find a bar stool and people watch.
Have a great time.

July is "High Season" so I would chose September. With school back is season, The Pearl will have many more adults than kids.
The weather in Seattle is very nice. Please try to add a day or two to enjoy the city either pre or post cruise. Too many places to see and things to do to mention here.
Either cruise would be great. Which timeframe fits better in your schedule?

I am about to head out for my 26th Norwegian cruise. I have had to purchase either the dining or beverage packages. Most of my meals are in the main dining rooms. I have to watch my diet very carefully and always find things I can eat. I would not worry about it. If you would like to eat in a Speciality, you can always make a reservation on that day or go ask, might have short wait but if they can, they will serve.
The Spirit is a wonderful ship with a great staff. Have fun.

Staff is to start arriving in Germany next week for The Escape, not sure yet who all the Department Heads will be for Her. By January 2017, if things go according to the current plan, The Bliss should be about ready for Her staff to arrive. I am very glad I am NOT in charge of trying to figure out which staff member should be on which ship and when.

I just checked The Jewel's webcam in Juneau, it looks a little misty. Sweatshirts and tees will be fine under your jacket. I would a pair of oxfords or tennis shoes and leave the boots at home.
Have a great cruise. I had a wonderful time in Alaska on Her in early May.

I have a flight booked for 2:30 P.M. for my Jewel cruise in January and am thinking of backing up to 3 P.M. San Pedro is a distance from LAX.
If for some reason you are delayed leaving the ship or there is a problem with the freeway traffic you might not make it on time.
