  1. On 10/1 when the cruise with confidence and protection program expires, if you are denied boarding because of a (+) test, will you be entitled to a 100% FCC? What is your take? According to the Princess FAQ dated 7/11: Guests who test positive for COVID-19, as well as their family members and close contacts, will not be allowed to sail and should not travel to the ship. If you, your family members, travelling companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19 and are not permitted to board, you are entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). If you are denied boarding at the pier because you tested positive for COVID-19 on embarkation day, change fees and reasonable expenses related shoreside quarantine and travel home for you and your immediate travel party will be covered by Princess if not reimbursable from medical insurance, a travel protection plan or other responsible party. Any meals during shoreside quarantine will be covered by a per-diem meal allowance as communicated by a letter provided by staff at the pier. (No receipt retention is required.)
  2. I hope you run into the medical center staff and give them a hug, prolonged handshake or something...see if they run away. You would know whether you are (+)...
  3. Does the insurance allow cancel as late as on the day of sailing? If so, maybe cancel after your cabinmate checks in and on board?

  8. I am only aware that Hal extends their policy to end of 2022. Any other lines? I was hoping Princess would extend it but looks like they are going to let it expire on Oct 1.

  11. First, people argued why they needed to report to medical if they are asymptomatic, now it evolved to even if they are with symptoms, they saw no need to report and are perfectly fine to expose the crew...just an observation.

  15. True to a certain degree. There are only a finite number of new cruisers who would play that kind of game more than once. It gets old pretty quickly. Any successful business needs repeated customers, I would think...
  16. My CVP booked a coastal cruise out of LA for me but was not with the advertised fare that I saw on the website. Via email, she said she sent it to CR for protection. I don't know what that means.

Well, if cruisers are complaining about the current service staff level, I can't imagine how much more riskier is for the crew to catch Covid and then go into quarantine which would bring the service staff level even lower if no test for PAX is required...It is absolutely "bring it on" in the truest sense!
  18. Does the FCC from cancel with insurance have an expiration date? FCC from Book with Confidence is a year from issuance.
  19. I am only going to let it slide until I use up all my FCC which is probably a cruise away.
  20. Same problem. Showed correct level on my last cruise and then incorrect (blue) for my future cruises on the app, hence no 50% off on internet prepurchase or making dinner reservations. No response from the Medallion team for over 1.5 months now.
  21. 3 for us bet Oct 2021 to April 2022, no covid, N95 mask indoor only and avoid crowds both outdoor and indoor.

  23. I have the same problem that the app does not recognize my captain circle level so DMY says unavailable and no internet discount either. It was working "perfectly" until the completion of my most recent cruise in April. Ticket has been opened for a week now. I will see if this new release fixes it but I am not that hopeful!
  24. Just chill. When it is only a recommendation, no one (except a small percentage might do it.) Just like the mask thing. What it means is that there is high transmission so fly at your own risk.
