Hallasm...we are staying at SP34 hotel (thanks for the recommendation) and plan on taking the metro to Orientkaj...then take either bus 25 or 164 or the free shuttle (or walk) to Oceankaj. Is it possible to take bus 25 or bus 164 from somewhere near SP34 hotel direct to Oceankaj? Thank you.

Soft serve ice cream is open from 11:00am to 7:00 pm. Current flavors available are chocolate and vanilla (no strawberry). I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they said "it is a dairy product".

July 8th...3-night sailing. That information came from the F&B.

It seems high...but I do understand it. * For example, last September, embarking in Seattle, Ovation of the Seas, Alaska cruise...we watched 2 families (family of 4 and 6) unable to board because of positive test results...it was sad to see. Many more families didn't make it onboard.

A couple of specialty restaurant managers were gracious enough to explain. * Hooked was not scheduled to open for lunch yesterday (embarkation day), but the demand was so high...they opened it (more revenue for the ship) * Izumi was not scheduled to open today, Day 2, seaday. The manager said that the "Sake-Sushi Pairing" (reservations online), was cancelled because all they had was "house" sake. To prevent complaints and/or bad reviews, he said he called every passenger scheduled for the pairing lunch and gave them discounts and he opened Izumi for lunch. * Here's where I also started pulling my gray hairs...I walked by guest services and asked what specialty restaurants are open for lunch today. They insisted only Jamie's and Hooked are open. So, guest services are not even aware when and if the restaurant was opened by the manager at his own discretion.

If your cruise was on Monday, July 18th...I can probably get a pretty good count. * A week ago, about 500 passengers did not make it onboard the Navigator. It could be because of various reasons...positive test results, cancelled or missed flights, or simply forgetting proper documentation.

Yes...yes...yes, feels very crowded. We sailed on the Navigator after the re-start and the average number of passengers per sailing was approximately 1500...the ship felt empty. Not anymore. For example, the maximum capacity for the Jacuzzis shows 12 people...we counted 17 and 18 sitting in there. The pool deck and solarium are packed...they have "Sexiest Man Contest" and the Belly Flop Contest today. You can still find a few quiet places...Deck 4 outside promenade and the helipad.

Next time we walk by Hooked, I'll ask the manager about lunch on embarkation day. * Yesterday, we were having drinks at the Schooner Bar (next to Hooked) and decided to skip the packed Windjammer. Disclosure: We didn't know Hooked was open either.

Today, Day 2, Saturday, only Hooked and Jamies open for lunch...12 - 1:30 pm. Chops and Izumi are closed for lunch. * Windjammer and El Loco Fresh are popular today. MDR open till 1pm. Playmakers and Sorrentos pizza pretty popular as well. Bamboo Room only had 4 people inside.

The cabin stewards are happy to leave them in your cabin...just let them know.

Yesterday was embarkation day for the Navigator, 3-night, Ensenada sailing...just wanted to tell you we ate at Hooked for lunch.

Guessing that when the kids are back in school, the passenger count should decrease. * Passenger count for this current 3-night cruise is approximately 3400.

My pleasure...we are onboard another week (3-night and 4-night sailings.) * The July 8th, 3-night sailing, had approximately 3800 passengers. The July 11th, 4-night sailing ending tomorrow, has approximately 3600 passengers.

No. But if you go and bring her into the DL for coffee, nobody really cares...no one will stop you. The DL concierge is usually there from 8am to 12 noon...he/she may stop you or warn you.

Here's what we were told... Re: Dairy...good news and bad news. First the bad news... * Spoke to the manager in the Windjammer and he said there are no non-dairy ice cream available in the Windjammer. * Spoke to the manager in the main dining roon and he said there are no non-dairy ice cream in the Main Dininig Room. He said even the sorbet has dairy. The good news... * If you email Royal Caribbean, 7 to 10 days before your sailing, at rcldining@rccl.com and let them know about your dietary needs and/or allergies, they "will do the best they can to accommodate you".

The 3-night sailing had Saturday designated as formal/Dress Your Best night...but it was mostly casual. * Yes, the 3-night cruise was/is a wild booze cruise...and 1200+ children. Do not miss the outstanding ice show. Production show is "Showgirls". I'll ask about non-dairy ice cream and report back.

Back in the day, Royal Caribbean used to provide a complimentary hotel for those with one night between B2B cruises. ( For exame...Miami cruise ending on Saturday...free night hotel...cruise again on Sunday.)

Answering for my beautiful wife...she just reminded me. 1. New Year's Eve dinner...Voyager of the Seas...Sydney, Australia...we got invited (along with 10 other lucky couples) to the Captain's Table. To this day, we still don't know why/how we were selected.......incredible. 2. Istanbul to Barcelona...14-days...last cruise with my parents...rest in peace...thank you. 3. Vision of the Seas...Venice to Dubai via the Suez Canal. We had armed security onboard while sailing near the Somali coast.

Royal Caribbean...many (many) years ago onboard the Song of America. We had a table for 8 and a wonderful British couple along with the Staff Captain sat with us every night. The 3 remaining seats were taken by various entertainers and dancers. Special meals and wine every night...with the dancers drinking "shots" and telling wild stories I cannot repeat here on CC. We were addicted to cruising ever since...we didn't know any better. * Non Royal Caribbean ship...Renaissance Cruises. South Pacific cruise out of Papeete. Incredible ship, outstanding crew and amazing food. The sail into Bora-Bora was absolutely breathtaking.

Currently onboard the Navigator...no Cruise Compass being delivered in our cabin. (No worries...we just look at the schedule on tv, or the Wayfinders by the stairs, or the app.)

Sigh...back in the day, (on Celebrity not Royal), they had waiters in the buffet waiting to help you carry your tray full of food back to your table.

When we were younger, we didn't have much money and only cruised once a year...we booked only inside cabins. Many years ago, we sailed on the Vision of the Seas (out of Venice, Italy) and had this brilliant (sarcastic) idea. We wanted to compare each cabin and booked a JS (2 weeks), a balcony, an OV, and an inside...all consecutive (b5b). Yes, it was crazy...but we learned a lot. Bottom line: We haven't booked an inside cabin ever since. Two reasons, 1. Our bed (inside cabin) only had one small space on one side and against the wall on the other side. I would literally roll over and hit the wall . It wasn't funny after a few days. 2. With a nice C&A balcony discount, our first choice is now always a balcony....or higher.
