We did a family cruise for my 70th.birthday many,many ,many years ago. Old Navy designed shirts for us with the American flag reading Lenny’s 70th.birthday.

If you were an elderly person who traveled 50 or more years ago all public safes were key entry as were ships cabin doors.

My wife and I do not wear jewelry.The only things we put in a ships safe is our passports and cell phones.I have yet to be on a cruise or any other type of vacation where anyone has tried to mug me.I have thevappearance of someone that nobody would desire to mess with.

Although I live in New York I am in a very small town.There is only one road that goes through the whole town ,3 miles.Another road goes through some of the town for 1 mile.In the Spring and Summer it is a wonderful place to live. A high percentage of the residents go to Fla for the winter.

Theoretically but not definitely.There is always the possibility that the previous user of the box used the same code. It is like people using internet passwords.How many times do you select a word only to read that the word or even a screen name is not available because someone else used it .

I never used a hotel safe. When I was on my first cruise there were no in room safes.On my second cruise it was a lock and key .On my third cruise the safe was open .I selected a combination to use.I put things inside and did not open the safe till the day I was disembarking.

I am older than you.There were no buffets when I was growing up.Herbies was the first I ever went to when I was in my 30’s.

I remember most the midnight buffets on the Cunard Ambassador and on the HAL Zuiderdam. (Did you ever go to Herbies International Buffet in Brooklyn?)

I agree.The old days of cruising had the best late night buffets.
