Yes the new Statendam & Rotterdam are the same excepot for the year that they were built .If there are differences they are minor not major

We never in over 90 cruises ever heard the term or the use of " meal credit" .We heard of On Board Credits issued by a cruise line or a travel agent but NEVER a meal credit unless the Travel Agent is paying for a meal in one of the on board special restaurants that have a cover charge ;which is a meal credit for you to use when on the ship Use it or loose it

We all have choices . I for one if I can not get what I had liked ,I will spend my money else where .Cruises are just one form of vacation .There are many choices out there& that is indeed fortunate

Right now car rentals are very pricy do to the pandemic shortages .Well over $200 & we are there in Kauai only 8AM to 6PM with the cars at the air port .Trying to get some sort of tour company to do the river /grotto & Waimea Canyon

imo Raising higher prices & providing lower food values is economic suicide for any cruise line .it will catch up to any line rapidly .

Imo ,It seems logical that higher prices for HAL's cruises & lower quality food will clash in the near future ,Thus in declining future bookings .These cut backs are very obvious & imo both bookings & their stock price will decline . The word travels fast among experienced cruisers We also see CCL stock going back down as well as the future of the stock market for other economic reasons

I limit the number of players to 20 . Usually there are not many people on the dice table but there can be . I make the bets & they roll until they toll craps or the 7 . By managing the cash we usually come out wining . Same with the Slots .I only now play the $5 per pull clots because the pay offs are better especially in the night time like 9 to 10 pm .The Fin Slot Pills can have as many as you want but keep their names on a list of paper because what if there is a big jackpot . You know there are taxes on over a $1200 win on any slot & you so nor want others coming in after the fact Cliff

Angela this is how it works .I set the meeting place at the Casimo Bar for all the people on the list .I set the Meeting time at 9:30PM .I collect $15 from each player that signed up on the Roll Call .Then we all go over to the Crap Table . I use the collective money to buy the chips & I give the dealer my sign & sail card die Casino Credit . I make all the bets .Each person gets a chance to roll the dice . Only on the first roll I place a $5 chip on the pass line .If the person rolls a 7 or 11 on the first roll it is a natural WIN . If the person rolls a paor of dice with one on each die or a one & a two on each die or 12 & 12 on each die we loose the $5 because that is called Craps .now if a person rolls a 4 or 5 or 6 or 8 or 9 or 10 those are all the back line numbers .The dealer will place a white round disc on the number rolled . The person rolling must make that number before rolling a 7 .rolling a 7 we loose Now here are the odds for each back line number the 4 & 10 are 2 to 1 against the roller .The 5 & 9 are 9 to 5 odds against the roller & the 6& 8 are 9to 8 against the roller . Betting each back line number you get true odds pay back if the numbers are rolled before that 7 comes out .Best bets obviously are the 6 & 8 then the 5 & 9 .Now id we get a lucky roller that can hold the dice (not throwing a 7) we can make a lot of money .I would even press the 6 & 8 at least once meaning I tell the dealer to press it (means leave all the money there ) .I the numbers are made again I then take down the bet The mist important thing to know is money management on the dice table because that ugly seven/7 does come up .so betting is one thing & managing is another skill . Best to get a book on Craps & read it thoroughly so you understand the skills .also in Las Vegas I can stack 20 $5 chips behind my $5 line bet ,That is called 20 times odds .On cruise ships they only allow 2 chips behind the line Craps is a FUN & interesting Action Game but please read up before going to the craps table with real money Cliff

We get great value out of buying Club Orange .We upgrade from A VH Handicap blocked balcony to a V category balcony .We get the CO restaurant for breakfast & dinner ,we get priority boarding & priority tenders ie .Definitely a steal at the low $15 each per day we pay . For lunch we usually eat in the Lido or Pinnacle if at sea .

Yes we do understand that Soltice will be back into the Australian to Hawaii & Hawaii to Vancouver area markets once things settle down .However X has a vast market presence that is why it is amazing . But ,if they sail with less people that can make it better for us over all Since we no longer fly ,we sail Holland America & Princess because we can drive to each port in a short time & we are Elite Plus with X We thank you for your reply as it does makes sense now

We have been booked for a long time & now fully paid for March 11th & 18th cruises 2023 . Seems to me that sales have been lagging as I never saw two roll calls this slow .Any ideas why they are so slow in sales? TIA

We are Elite Plus with Celebrity & 3 Star Mariners at HAL . Except for the lack of shows on the World Stage for HAL the lines imo are fairly close in every thing else . HAL does have dancers for the World Stage .They have the Rolling Rock music room .BBKings Blues /Rock n roll /comedians .Billboard on board with 2 pianos & singers . Best to go club Orange if you are sailing on Koningsdam .Lots of great perks .Read the thread on Club Orange now going on this board We sail HAL because they sail from San Diego out home port .however ,in March we are doing B2B on Soltice & in 2024 we will do some Princess cruises from the World Cruise Center San Pedro which is about 1 & 3/4 hour drive for us Another nice touch on HAL Koningsdam is the Studio where you can do crafts . Food variety is good . There is Lido buffet ,The dive In for burgers ,fries ,hot dogs & the NY Deli one deck up --walk the spiral stair to get there .Great Salads as well with lemon aid & ice tea available Best to have breakfast & dinner in Club Orange .Also tru all the special restaurants ,Very yummy ,Pinnacle special restaurant can have lunch there on Sea Days ,Best buy Enjoy HAL

Do wave .The Zaandam cruise is 14 nights & goes as far as Hultaco Mexico .We also do Acapulco ,a favorite port of mine & The Sea of Cortez ports of LaPaz & Loretto . You could wear clothes that glow un the dark ?🤣
