  1. I think I posted this before. I am a RUM drinker. You must call or email prior to your cruise. I purchase the bottle of rum from the ships store. $85.00 and it will be in your room when you arrive. Only one catch. It must stay in your room. I also purchase the Bottomless Bubbles package. So the price of the RUM and the drink package is way lower than the package or purchase each drink separate. Wife does not drink, so this for me is a no brainer. You can purchase whatever alcohol the ships store sells and ahve it in your room. Prices are $85 to about $110 depending.
  2. What is your problem? I said Royal so no one would think I was talking about Carnival. Guess you are the only one who was confused. So you HAD to inform me. Duh!
  3. We went to Freeport twice. No more. Over the past years my wife will do the straw market and I listen to the music. Then back to the ship. It would be super just to enjoy a new port.
  4. Hopefully it will be a GRAND PORT. Would be nice to go where it is all new. Considering it will be exclusive to Carnival only. Bet it will be really nice.
  5. I always use my Bank of America credit card with excellent cash back, plus it includes excellent travel insurance. Use it for my credit on the ship also.
  6. Thanks for that. Very informative. It will be interesting to see what they have at that port. Shops, stores, dining etc?
  7. What ever happened to Carnival building there own docking location at Freeport?
  8. Just did a reprice on my next Royal cruise. It was paid for and I did have FCC applied to the cruise. Because the price went down the FCC was an over charge. The balance went back as FCC for my next booking. They would not give it as OBC.
  9. Well, looks like you need to pick a different ship! Some ships have many port hole windows. Others only have them close to the the bow of the ship. We did try one once. it was near the bow. Could not sleep. The ocean waves kept pounding on the hull and making a very loud noise.
  10. Yes and no. Those rates I posted can be found on any site that books cruises. Nothing special. As for Carnival. The price is for VIFP as most anyone that cruised Carnival are.
  11. Totally agree. I would prefer that.
  12. My wife and I are not heavy drinkers so the package would be way over doing it for us. I always purchase the Bubbles. If I want a mixed drink I get the soda to match the alcohol I want. Then I purchase a double shot because the glass has a lot of soda in it. The cost of a double or a shooter is not that much. During the course of the cruise they sometimes have a special for them. ie, If I want a rum runner I will just purchase one. That is us. By the way. The Red Frog when boarding will usually have specials.
  13. Lowest deck mid ship is by far the very best location. No other location. get the patch or take the pill. If you start to feel queasy. Immediately look at the horizon or if there is another ship in view. Concentrate on it. If it is dark outside, stop walking and concentrate on anything. Do not look at people walking. Hope that helps.
  14. You are correct. Any Covid19 test is accepted also.
  15. Depends on the ship, length of cruise and time of year. For an example The Carnival Liberty 4 night this June 27th Ocean View mid ship is $51.00pp pd plus tax. Carnival Freedom for Halloween this year 5 night is only $45.00 pp pd plus tax. Ocean view, Now for Halloween 2023 Carnival liberty is only $36.00 pp pd plus tax. Those are excellent prices. The Halloween 2023 includes $50 OBC and free drinks while gaming. Yes we do Halloween every year. Usually 4-5 cruises a year.
  16. Carry-On Bag Size Restrictions If you want to carry a purse or small bag on the cruise at embarkation -- or off the ship at disembarkation -- Carnival does not limit the number, weight or length of your carry-on, but each item may not exceed 16 inches in height or 24 inches in width. If you are over 21, you may take a single bottle of champagne, no more than 750 ml, in your carry-on baggage. Otherwise, all prohibited items, such as alcohol, weapons, irons, candles and other dangerous items, may not be taken aboard in your carry-on or checked bag. Checked Bag Size Restrictions Like carry-on bags, checked bags are limited to 16 inches in height and 24 inches in width, with no length restriction. You are allowed two bags per person, and each bag may not exceed 50 pounds. You may carry your luggage onboard, or give your luggage to a cruise porter, who will deliver it to your stateroom free of charge. The standard tip for a cruise porter is $1 per bag.
  17. So many love this on Carnival ships and the lines are always sooooo long. Unless you get in line before it starts, you will be in line for a long time before you can go and sit and enjoy the food. You would think by now Carnival would double the size of the WOK to accommodate the vast amount of cruisers that love it. What do you think?
  18. Can anyone in the know verify that Vista class ships have individual A/C units for each state room in addition to the ships A/C system. I do not think they do. You may have a thermostat to control your room comfort. But I doubt an individual A/C unit.
  19. I own a good amount of Royal and Carnival. So far I have lost over $30,000.00 I really hope it turns around. Will it stay above water till November?
  20. Sure you will. That is unstainable, is it not? That is only certain times not all the time. Just do not go at that time.
  21. 50 cruises with carnival. never ever had your experience. Pizza line maybe the longest 15 min. because we have a pizza made the way we like it. Guy's maybe 5 or 6 min. Sometimes I also have the burger made the way I like it, so yes a bit longer. Buffet, never. Always quick unless waiting for something to be made or brought out that is empty.
