  1. So the magnet is strong for sure. Maybe a shorter necklace so it does not hit the table or get into the food.
  2. I agree with you. We live in Port Saint Lucie. So just an hour from home to ship. Even though the ship is old. I thought they did a fine job of spiffing it up. For the most part, Clean and Caribbean. However, going to Port Canaveral for us is only 1 hour and 45 min. Well worth the extra time for a far better deal.
  3. MissP22 says the Medallion falls off. Does yours?
  4. Really, what you say can you back it up? Where did you hear about the ones sold on ebay falling off? I would like to read those. Just now you see a few here on CC and they are very happy with them.
  5. Where did you read favorable reviews??? Way tooo expensive for the cruise and all the extras on board. The show was nice, the ship I liked, the room I liked most of the food was good. But everything was way over priced. Got it to blow? Then go.
  6. We take the at home free test before going to Walgreens for the test. This way we have some assurance we will pass. As for covid19 spreading fast on the cruise ships. I personally have not heard that anywhere other then on CC.
  7. Go to the Margaritaville cruise ship web site. All the info is there. Just Google it.
  8. You are not correct and you should not be telling people that they are week magnets. There are 4 small cobalt magnets around the edge of the medallion. Putting it on the fridge and the edge of the medallion is not even touching the fridge or any other metal for that matter. Ever try putting one by the other? You are very very wrong. I have disassembled the medallion and I know for a fact what is in them. I am sure you do not.
  9. Breakfast is always good. If it is on the ship. My wife goes nuts over the Mongolian Wok.
  10. I do not know what you have. We have ours on the fridge and also use them on the medallion holders sold on ebay which are held on only by the magnets. They do not fall off either.
  11. You are very, very wrong. There are 4 strong magnets in the medallion.
  12. I doubt very much if there was any fiberglass batten to get grease on it in that funnel.
  13. I had an item made many times about the size of one side of the funnel. Fiberglass and it had 4 sections to the mold. Those 4 sections bolted together on the outside of the mold. The product came out as one piece after the mold was unbolted. Takes one day to make. Second day to full cure. Gel coat color is sprayed down first. Fiberglass is either put down with a chopper gun or had laid. So if they do have the mold and know what they are doing. No big deal.
  14. They need a model airplane designer. Hard to fine I guess.
  15. Just a few replies to your post. The food in the buffet on Carnival was never something to write home about. Average and little variety. What gets me is when they have a really nice turkey to carve and the offer rice or baked potato. No mashed potatoes with gravy. Hum. Guy's burgers has gone down hill for sure. As for the casino. When they are packed it is always warmer in there. As for the heat from outside. Yes, you are correct. During a hot sunny day it makes a big difference to the inside temperature. Once the sun is down. It is usually down right cold. I finally purchased a nice sweater for the evenings. Never wanted to wear one before. Just getting old I guess.
  16. So important. make sure you never have it near any charge cards or any cards with the magnetic strip. The magnets in the medallion will kill them.
  17. What happened to the information about the fire damage. Now it it turned into dealing with clients, accounting and lawyers?
  18. To scrap a money making ship over such a small problem would be Ludacris.
  19. I use my Bank of America card that pays very well. It also has great travel insurance. So I pay for the cruise and anything else I want with the card. Then pay it off at the end of the month.
  20. As soon as you board the ship, go to your state room. Even if is not ready, the room steward will let you put your luggage in it. If it is ready, then just unpack if you want and go eat. I recommend before you leave the state room. Put your valuables in the safe. The buffet and usually one dining room is open for lunch. We do this all the time. No need to cart you luggage with you when you go to eat. FYI. You can do just the opposite when debarking. Leave your luggage in your state room. Go have breakfast. When you are ready, go get it and get off. Never had any problems and no carting the luggage around the ship.
  21. So true. Dress to help stay cool. Forget the dress up in the evening. Personally, every cruise we ever took the ship was always cold.
  22. Take a look on ebay. There are several that are super nice and not expensive at all.
