  1. One Carnival cruise we were on we had no idea there was any hurricane. When we returned my son asked about the hurricane. I said what Hurricane. I would not want to know about a hurricane while on a cruise unless it would effect us. Why get the guests worried for no reason? 80+ cruises never had a power outage.
  2. Some are slightly magnetic which have a little steel in the mix. No where near the amount a solid steel would have. The nedallion would never adhere it it.
  3. I said steel. The Medallion is curved and the magnets are on the other edge of it. So as a magnet on a steel fridge it will not work that good the outer ring is not touching the fridge. It can hold itself though.
  4. I like a rum and coke (Pepsi?) now and then. I purchase the Bubbles package. Get the soda and then pay for a double Rum. Very inexpensive. Many times each day they have a sale. Need to llisten for it. You can also get OJ and a mix for it.
  5. Not when youi have to purchase it for two and you are the only one drinking that much.
  6. When we arrived at home my wife was not feeling well. She tested positive.
  7. The medallion has 4 strong magnets in it. That is why t will hold to a steel surace.
  8. No need to rebook at all. Just call and ask for the lower price. They will recalculate it and send you a new invoice.
  9. Usint a credit card to book and use it for you onboard account brings you extra money from the points you receive on it. Usinng cash has no advantages. They will put a hold of usually $100.00 just incase you top out. They emove it in a day or two after the cruise.
  10. We are Diamond an no longer means much. Last Carnival cruise was about 2 months ago. Our boarding time was 12:00 - 12:30 We arriveda at 12:15. All the other later times were full. No one in our line at all. They looked at our boarding time and off we went. Got on the ship super fast.
  11. I was on the Mardi Gras but I cannot give advise on your question. However as consideration. I was talking to a person that had a front Suite. Windows overlooking the front of the ship. All he bitched about was how far he was from anything. He said it took 20-25 min to walk to the back of the ship. Not sure if I agree.
  12. If you area a people watcher. Spring break will be a win for you.
  13. There are those that have problems walking and the eleveator is a must for enven one deck up or down. That is why we do our besrt to have a cabin on the lowest deck. Waiting for an elevetor to go down is usually faster than an up and almost never crowsded. Now for those that self assist getting off the ship. PLEASE leave your luggage in you cabin when you go to breakfast. You take up a lot of room in the elevators and in the buffett. We ALWAYS leave ours in the room and our items in the safe. Oner 80 cruises and that has NEVER been a problem.
  14. If you are able to get outside, stare at the horizon. If you are inside. Sit down so you are not moving in addition to the ship. Then stare at an object. Yes Bambam is correct. Also suggest. Carry the bag with you just incase it comes on fast. Guest services should have them. Better the bag then the floor or on someone.
  15. It may have come from a covid cancelled cruise.
  16. I think Royal is now charging $7.50 for room service.
  17. Cruised on Carnival about 2 months ago. Totally organized. Seperate line for each time. We were 12:00 - 12:30 got there at 12;15 no one in the line. They checked our time and said just go. Got on the ship in about 10 min. Why can't Royal do the same is beyond me. Sure 2000 more guests. As was said. A lot of room to do it right.
  18. Same here. Everyone went into any line they wanted. No organization what so ever.
  19. Weather was excellent. Ship was excellent. Only a few negatives. Hot food was never hot. Warm at best. Otherwise taste was very good. Schedueling was not very good. Overlaping many. Cannot enjoy the shows if they are on at the same time and only once for the week. The first commedian had my wife laughing so hard. She usuelly does not enjoy the commedian. This time it was an A+. Not Adult either. Ice shows were awesome as usual. Bingo has increased a lot. The pad and 6 cards and a scratch off. $69.00. However it is worth it if you win. Payouts were high. First game was about $675.00 Second game was $999.00 third game gave you a suite for the week. Second bingo, First game $668.00 Second got $845.00 and the third game paid out $1,200.00 All had only one winner for each game. Nice! This was our secohd cruise on the Harmony. No more. Want to see different shows maybe hot food. Getting on was nuts. Over 1-1/2 hours. Did not go by your book time. Everyone for themselves. Pushing and shoving. Getting off was a breeze. Fast! So, all and all it was a nice cruise.
  20. Free champagne on the pool deck at midnight. Not much else.
  21. Only one 4th cruise. They sailed along the coast so you could see the fire works on land. Palm beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.
  22. Yes as ordering more than one. I ordered all three icecream flavers. However, we wanted to take some items to go. The answer was NO.
  23. The longer the cruise the better your experience with the guests. A short cruise 3-5 days usually bring out the party people.
  24. I stand corected. It does look like they have a party on every October cruise. We only go on October 31st. That is the only day they party and have the costume winner.
