  1. Do not know about other ports but Florida has the Cruise lines charge sales tax till thy are past the 3 mile limit.
  2. Correct, fish and chips, clams, shrimp and other sea food. Including chowder.
  3. I know of no cruise line that lets you purchase for only one. What cruiseline allow purchasing the drink package for only one in the cabin. Maybe if one is under age and the other is an adult? Not sure about that either.
  4. The lower the deck the less movement you get when the sea gets rough. Especially mid ship.
  5. Usually you get a reduced deposit and additional OBC when booking on board.
  6. Googled it. Price indicated for 2022. it did not say gratuity included at $14.00
  7. So you are talking about $16.50 for a problem drink. I think the bar charges $13.00 for most drinks or a little less depending on the drink. The Bionic Robarts I guess must send money back home to the bionic family. 18% needed to keep them liberated.
  8. Plus the cost of the super high price fort it. You are so corect. if you can afford thousands to take kids on the cruise, fine. Otherwise forget it. Very boarding.
  9. Looks like a mixed drink is $14.00. Now the question. Do they still add a gratuity for a drink purchased at the Bionic bar? What is the cost of a mixed drink at a regular bar that is plus gratuity, right?
  10. You will receive your Platinum card on that next cruise so will will benefit the Platinum perks.
  11. Remember they only have two ships. Whatever ports they go to, the must first agree with that ports on vaccination, testing etc. before any cruise line can make any changes. So for Virgin. Short and simple. All other major cruise lines have a lot to do before making any changes. Each and every port must agree on any changes. That does not happen over night.
  12. Depends what is happening the the other cabin. We have had adjoing cabins and really had no problems.
  13. I think you are missing the point. A hold is not put on the card itself, you are basically saying they lock the card from use. That is not the case. It is a hold AMOUNT they put on the card. Example $100 or $200 pp. Again, if that was the case you could not use the card for purchases off of the ship.
  14. As I said there is no hold placed on your card.
  15. FYI Today Virgin no longer required a pre test before your cruise.
  16. That is obvious. I do not see any changes in the recommendations themselves. Reads the same as always. Cruise lines now have the option of changing or not.
  17. They are just covering themselves. Usually in a week you will see it applied to your account.
  18. The CDC recommended cruise industry guidelines were posted by the CDC yesterday 7/20 basically the recommendation have not changed just that they are recommendations not something they will enforce.
  19. So basically as I read it. The recommend no changes for testing 3 days prior to the cruise. It that what you read from it?
  20. July 20,2022 The decision allows cruise operators to make their own rules when it comes to health and safety protocols. Both Royal Caribbean and Carnival have started that they are waiting for further guidance from the CDC to be released before they make any decisions.
  21. That is July 18 old news. The are waiting for clarification from the CDC. That was yesterday 7/20
  22. There is actually no hold put on your credit card. Only an amount after it is first posted to it. That is if you use up all your OBC first. If they did put a hold on it you could not use it on shore. To answer your question. Yes. You will need to put a CC when filling out your cruise documents.
