  1. In my humble opinion, going from ANY ship to home is the downgrade!!!😁
  2. I would absolutely take the refund and the FCC. One of the reasons I try to book airfare that can be cancelled and credited back to points or $$, and refundable hotels, is so I can easily make last minute decisions like this.
  3. Take the price shown and add 18% to it for the total. Watch your Cruise Planner frequently. I found the UDP for a 10 night cruise on the Vision in March for a total of $250 person, including tips. That's unlimited dinner options: appys one place, meal another, dessert another, if you want. Lunch in Chops on sea days (maybe another restaurant; depends on the ship) Book Chops for lunch on Day 1, pay for it, show up and have them credit what you paid back since you have the UDP. You can also just show up, but I like to have a reservation on the first day. That was 14 meals per person on our cruise for an average of $18 including tips. They accidentally charged us on night in Giovanni's, and it was $53 per person including tip.
  4. Well, that's better than what I thought you were thinking: that I was baking, refrigerating, and serving it COLD!!! Ewwwwwww...........
  5. It refrigerates overnight, then it's baked and served the next day.
  6. My guess is his Mom was on the ship, and he was buzzing her............
  7. (We don't even whisper that in CA........ )
  8. The inflatable mattress pad I use works very well for me. I put it under the fabric mattress pad the ship provides. This way it doesn't make noise as I move in bed, but provides a great cushion. I also use an electric inflater/deflater.
  9. I look at it as a "once-and-done" purchase. I consider a cruise ship a hotel, and I certainly like to be in a comfy bed no matter where I am. Mine rolls up into a sack that fits in my 22" suitcase, and has it's own pump attachment to inflate and deflate. Very nice for someone who can "pay the price" in back issues for sleeping on an uncomfortable mattress. So, to me it's money well spent. I also don't want to roll the dice on whether the extra padding they MIGHT provide is enough. This way my comfort goes with me when I travel.
  10. I researched with "ghost" bookings and found the availability on my cruise to be dismal locations for booked category. So, I paid the $220 extra to pick my cabin, and consider it money well spent. I also added Princess Plus to my existing booking several weeks ago. The price was a LOT more expensive on Princess' web site than the upcharge through my travel agent.
  11. I believe Loyalty Resolutions is fairly new. Resolutions is another staff.
  12. This is a prime example of cruise withdrawal, which includes short term confusion and delerium ..........................
  13. Perhaps letting the business owner in the dispute make the decision. I gave the OP the contact information only.
  14. Call and ask for Loyalty Resolutions. This is exactly what they are there to deal with.
  15. You are not misinterpreting. She was a miserable person, a terrible mother to my husband, a thorn in my side for 54 years, and insulted my sweet, romantic, lovable son. She was a month shy of 99 years old, and it was her time.
  16. Can you imagine the WHOPPING FCC one would have if they paid out the 125% for the FCC?
  17. Keep trying and grab it. You can always cancel and repurchase. You'll get a refund, so use the same credit card.
  18. I did this between my iphone13 and Surface Pro X computer. The problem I had was the latency between the master and slave devices. There was a significant delay on the slave device.
  19. @PGHProducer I feel your pain getting stuck on a ship with a family member who is a real pill. Reminds me of the family cruise we took in 2008. My younger son and the love of his life FINALLY were engaged after knowing each other for 10 years. The family was (still is) ecstatic. He had followed her half way across the country to be with her while she furthered her education: gave up his job, family, everything to be with her. On the family cruise my MIL is sitting across from me in the Windjammer, and blurts out, "I guess there's no excitement for X and Y about getting married, because they've been living together and there's no 'mystery' left". I wanted to punch her, but she was 85, and I don't hit people. I left the table and got more food. She died last November 30th, than goodness...................
  20. I priced two of these individual cruises yesterday for June/July next year. I would have to cancel two of my already booked cruises (with refundable deposits) to pay for the two on the Serenade. BUT, I would "lose" 16-17 cruise days by doing so. I've got the Serenade cruises on my watchlist to check prices.
  21. If, after entering the promo code, you have to go all the way through to the final pricing page. The final pricing will give you either the best of the current promo going that's allowed with DP340, OR DP340, and sometimes a hybrid of a reduced DP340 with the current promo. I have also found the code is accepted, but the pricing is the same with or without it. That means the current promo took precedence and was applied, because it was a larger discount. RCCL is not a big fan of double-dipping on discounts.
  22. Keep checking back. They might not have had it completely updated. I bought the UDP for a 10 night cruise on the Vision recently for a total of $250, including gratuity.
  23. I'm wondering if they are allowed to do this now, since COVID?
  24. Once you find something you are interested in, put it on your watchlist on the RCCL web site (login required). Click on the bell with the $ sign at the top right of the web page. Then, you can go back to that/those cruises later to check the prices. As you search, just add the ones that look good to you, so you can come back to them later without filling out all the search criteria again. I keep a list of all my booked cruises, and what the "starting" price is for my booked cabin category. They are all in my watchlist. So, at a glance I can see if it's worth my time to check my price.
