  1. Does Early Ticketing cost anything? I requested it and my new flight total went up in price.
  2. Thanks to you all for telling me that Flightease should speak with me directly. I called and a nice lady was able to rebook me flights for the same price. The original flights were not available but I was able to change my return to be Tampa instead of Sarasota, which opened up better connections.
  3. So far, American has chatted with me even though I tell them the resy is through my cruiseline. Now I just have to deal through my Travel Agent, and I hate not having control. I'm just under 90 days and have made my final payment. Can't book through airlines, because this is a one way transatlantic flight. My FE fare is $306PP and AA charges $3K for the same fare. Even going with discount airlines, it'll be more once you add luggage and additional flights to get you to their cities.
  4. Thank Thanks. Unfortunately, the agency is closed today, but I've emailed them with the chat. HAL keeps telling them to wait for updated flights to come through, but there are no flights according to AA. Yes, I'll insist on reinstated flights at the rate I paid. Of course they've gone up.
  5. I must be the only person this has happened to based on the lack of response. I just chatted with American again, and they said the reservation was cancelled due to non-payment. Which brings me to the question, when does Holland pay for the flights? I paid for the airfare with my final payment.
  6. We were before final payment and our return flights from Madrid to Florida changed a couple times. Each time, there was a delay for Flightease to get the new flights, although I could see them right away on AA's app and website. After they cancelled a flight coming into Sarasota (SRQ) from Charlotte, they rebooked us with a 7 hour layover in Charlotte. I chatted with AA online and they changed our final leg into SRQ to an earlier flight from CLT to SRQ, that was only a 1:01 layover and not shown on the available connections when searching from MAD to SRQ. This was before final payment still. Flightease never got the new flights transferred into their system from AA, although it was on my record locator on AA for a couple weeks. Now when I look at the AA record, the entire itinerary has been cancelled. HAL tells the TA that flight changes were made and to wait for change to come through from American, but I feel the problem is much bigger than that because AA says I have no flights. I have now made final payment, but AA has no flight for me. Surely American cancelled the itinerary. Anyone have an issue like this?
  7. Your title says January 7, but today is the 6th. Is it today or tomorrow? I do not see it in port now.
  8. Did you request early ticketing? When do they normally ticket? Our flight is a one way after TA in April. After airline changes to flights, the information hasn't flowed back to Flightease. Record locator is correct on American's site.
  9. Ports were weak on the Symphony as we'd been to them before. Also, that was too early to cross in terms of wanting warmer weather. Explorer has nice ports, but at the time was not in the same price range. We're happy with the HAL Nieuw Statendam choice.
  10. Perhaps. They are a different price point alltogether from what we like to spend.
  11. We're sticking with the HAL Nieuw Statendam. Made final payment this week!
  12. So after another airline schedule change due to a cancelled flight to SRQ, I was booked on a much later flight. I contacted American through chat and they moved me to an earlier flight with a 1:01 connection that isn't even listed in the available flights from MAD to SRQ. I'm still getting this error and it's been over a week since the change was made. I have now made final payment and HAL nor the TA have my current itinerary. At what point are the flights ticketed and should I be worried that the information hasn't flowed to HAL yet?
  13. I know there is an insurance forum, but this is a quick question specific to HAL. Trying to determine non-refundable portion to cover with insurance. If I cancel, does HAL refund the port charges so that I don't have to include those in insured amount?
  14. Thanks, Mary. The flight is International from Madrid to Sarasota. I have researched this quite a bit on CC now and nowhere has anyone said their fare in fact changed when they made final payment although current fares were up.
  15. My flight confirmation says: Please note, however, that the original fare and schedule may no longer be available and new reservations will be made at the current available price. If the current price exceeds the original price, the guest must pay the additional charge, even if this occurs before cancellation or change fees apply. I locked in at a price and the flight times have changed a couple times, one flight was cancelled they they rebooked me, but I had airline change the connecting flight. Current fares are higher. I'm about to make final payment within a couple days. Are they going to change my airfare at this point? The HA site and the TA's info don't have the updated flights yet from American. Now I'm worried about making that final payment at what I think the airfare is given what I read above. What is the advantage of locking into an airfare/intinerary if it's not locked down and they can change the fare?
  16. It's not that you should "lose" the stockholder/military credit that you are due regardless of the cabin. But what happens is they they drop off and it takes the passenger advocating to get them put back on. The same thing happened when I switched my booking from HAL to a TA. The stockholder didn't transfer, but I called and made sure they put them back on.
  17. Awesome review and timely as we're taking NS on the April Transatlantic. Question though: The Happy Hour was truly BOGO free? I have seen other threads that the HH is now B1G1 Half off.
  18. Well just in that amount of time, I chatted with American and they were able to change me to the flight I wanted. Good news! The connection is only one hour, but if we miss if there are several other options to TPA all much earlier than the one they had put me on originally.
  19. Yes, the Advantage number is on the booking. Will that put me into having to pay fees for the changes since it'll be ticketed at that point?
  20. We have flights for our return from a Transatlantic this April. We are just short of Final Payment, which we're doing next week. American has made minor changes to the itinerary which are understandable when you book so far in advance. The latest change is resulting from a cancelled flight from Charlotte to Sarasota after the flight in from MAD. They rebooked us on a flight 4.5 hours later, which is too long of a layover. There are other nearby airports we can fly into. There is a flight from CLT with an acceptable layover just over an hour, but they don't even offer that as a connection from coming from Madrid through CLT. The reason I don't want to pick totally different flights on the FlightEase portal is because we currently have a good fare, and today they are selling much higher. I called FlightEase and they said because I'm booked through a TA, I need to go through them. Is it possible to call the American directly since this change is so drastic and try to get another connection while keeping the same fare? I don't know the technicalities of what you can do before and after Final Payment in this case.
  21. I was just asking GreySandy because hers seemed like upgrades, not upsells.
