  1. Also wondering how they will handle people who bring their own tests onboard and test positive the day before debark In Vancouver. We did this last week and, thankfully, were negative. You notify medical the day before debark that you tested positive on your own test... will they just conveniently NOT manage to get to you for the Celebrity testing prior to the next morning debark? Will be interesting to see how this goes.
  2. Good for you! I also had that, but after I asked how to escalate the issue and was told there was nothing she could do, I decided it wasn’t worth it. Was truly irritating.
  3. Interesting… we were on that sailing as well… and booked prior to 11/16/21 which was the cut off date for complimentary testing. I called Guest Services and was told that policy was no longer in effect, that I must purchase my test.
  4. Emailing customer relations is practically worthless in most cases. My last try, I got an email saying they were swamped and to add another 14 days to their estimated response time. My cruise has come and gone and still nothing. Go to the top and email Llutoff-perlo@celebritycruises.com. I found them to respond quickly and I only had a question about covid policy. They phoned me the next day. If you have premium internet in quarantine you should get wifi calls… otherwise ask for an email response. Keep us posted!
  5. Debarked Millennium 10 nt Pacific Coastal yesterday and Capt Pierre made no mention of the dreaded “C” word nor if anyone was quarantined even though Deck 2 had a Red Zone sign. We were in the less than 1% masked. Would have appreciated the transparency. Lots of coughing by the end of the cruise and one couple posted positive tests after debark and are asymptomatic, so we know it existed onboard…
  6. Hmmm… no mention of this. Not sure how they could know if you tested prior to debark, especially if you used your cell phone service in port. We would never want anything from Celebrity if we test positive… would get out of there as quick as we can and drive to Bellingham or Seattle and take it from there. Obviously easier forus since we’re from the west coast.
  7. Danna… we are on Millennium docking in Vancouver on Friday. Was told complimentary testing has been discontinued. $24.95 to purchase eMed test or get a more expensive test at airport or in Vancouver somewhere. We had been reading about this prior to our cruise, so brought tests with us to do in Victoria the prior to debark. Disappointed that the communication was so sketchy.
  8. On Millennium now and Guest Services told me they are no longer doing this. $24.95 to purchase the eMed test available for pick up in the luggage area after debark. Paper that was delivered to cabins yesterday has list of other choices in Vancouver as well as eMed test to purchase.
  9. Nope… we dock in Vancouver on Friday. Guest Services said they aren’t doing that any more. I asked how to escalate and was told maybe try to call Celebrity or email… lol
  10. We are on Millennium now, docking in Vancouver on 5/13. Called Guest Services and was told that they no longer provide the complimentary testing. I know they change policy but think they could have made that clear instead of having to read between the lines when they said in email prior to our cruise that they have them for sale. ($24.95 USD) We had a feeling that might be the case so brought eMed tests with us.
