If people participate in the roll calls and then Specifically choose not to do the meet and greet.. that is a bit snooty and disrespectful. I understand if they’re too early or there’s some other conflicting event going on, etc etc but to deliberately choose not to participate… it makes it sound like the person feels they’re above it

I'm snooty?  That's interesting.  I join roll calls to get info and help with planning.  No where does it say you are obliged to go to a m&G if you do.  And I don't by the way.  They two I have attended have been a bust with only a handful of people there.

In all the times that I had a shared table there was never a good match with the other people so it made showing up for dinner something to dread instead of look forward to. At least with the new system you would only get stuck with the mismatch once instead of the whole cruise. When you are able to choose your tablemates, either before or during the cruise it is so much more enjoyable.

The one time we did it we didn't match well with our table mates.

I use this phrase a lot...but honestly, aren't some things just stupid? Shouldn't we just call people out on it? Foam Henge. Really? Wall Drug in SD. The biggest ball of twine, the largest corn whatever...these gimmicks are just plain stupid. If you want to go there, then just do it. But don't get your knickers  in a twist when I say it's stupid.

For those following along - for once I'm not being sarcastic or funny.

Wall Drug.. I have to laugh when I see my first sign on the way to Rapid City.  My first sign of 500 that is.

it's on private land.  They are perfectly within their rights to charge and make money.   if you didn't like paying there, do not think of going to Monument Valley or Antelope Canyon.  Iconic places in the American West.  Gotta pay to go into Monument Valley.  You must have a guide to go into Antelope Canyon.   Both were on my bucket list and they absolutely did not disappoint and were well worth the money.

I didn't say it wasn't,  I pay to go into many place but this one is definately a money grab.  It's a one and done for me so I don't really care.  This is just a discussion on what is worth it and I don't think Crazy Horse is.  Others will pay it over and over to go back.  To each their own.

Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota. Mean employee at entrance when we tried to stop and take a picture. Charge to get in. Charged again to take their transportation from visitor center to the monument. Center's museum featured a film on creating the monument that we had already seen on a television special.

Yes that is definitely all about the $$$

We just got off the Encore last month. We stayed in the Haven which was an outstanding experience. The Encore is a huge ship with lots of options for food and entertainment not to mention the amazing lounge with lots of windows. We highly recommend seeing Choir of Man which is the current show on the Encore. Have a great cruise!

Yes don't miss it.  Also Kinky Boots.  They are both fantastic!

  7. I  like both.  Go on NCL with my kids, love the ships, lots of activities and great entertainment.  Go on Princess with my husband.  Definately more sedate and a lot of beige.   Not a lot of active things to do.  My "old sole" child likes Princess, the others prefer NCL.
