  1. I would flip out if I ever received one. Or, any animal for that matter.
  2. Or, on a return flight back home.
  3. Nothing other than price. Oh, and location of course.
  4. Shout out to the adult on the porch who watched this entire scenario unfold and just sat there. 😆
  5. This makes me sad. What was once the finest dining venue is no longer fine. To think in just a decade it has gone from a super special venue offering a different menu each night with guests dressed to the nines, to now and its never changing menu and men in short sleeves sans jacket, defeats the whole purpose of the positioning of the venue. Ms. Muckermann thinks Lalique crystals make the meal, when in reality all we expect is La Dame to deliver on its positioning; gourmet cuisine served in an intimate setting to like minded refined guests.
  6. If you spent a great deal of time searching this forum for the answer you seek, but couldn’t find it, there is nothing to be sorry for. You gave your best effort, through an investment of time, and someone here will be happy to help, I am sure of it.
  7. Love, love, love Sorrento. The glow of the evening sun lighting up those cliff walls while eating outside La Terrazza is a favorite memory of mine.
  8. Then by all means contact in suite dining so you can have a snack and an appetizer at whatever time you need before dinner in order to avoid becoming toasted.
  9. Wait, what? You’re worried about noise from the bridge and your three cabins away from it? What do you think goes on in there? They hang a disco ball from the ceiling and party 24-hours? They play heavy metal music regularly and scream like a mad man during death and black metal songs? They pound caffeine and energy drinks all night long and are bouncing off the walls? C’mon. Relax. This is Silversea. You can afford a suite that 99% of the world can’t. It’s going to be unbelievably great. Enjoy yourself. I promise you’ll sleep soundly.
  10. I did tonight. Only one port on the 20-day 2025 itinerary didn’t have any listings yet. I find that remarkable.
  11. Before you disembark. SS charges them to your onboard account.
  12. Yes, jeans are allowed on casual nights.
  13. No, I didn't mean you couldn't wear a kilt. Kilts are perfectly acceptable for formal nights. I stand corrected. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Literally, I just made a booking last week for 2025 and the booking confirmation page says 210-days and even gives me the date in 2024 when excursions open for booking. Even my TA didn't tell me excursions are now available to book.
  14. Typically, yes, if the non-stop is available on BA or AA. And, yes, they will let you arrive early and depart later for a deviation fee. Both are booked online. Excursions open 210 days prior to embarkation and dining opens 120 days. Have no interest in entering that snake pit, so I'll let others wade in. 😊 Yes, multiple formal nights. In addition to your suit jacket and tie, you'll want a pair of dress pants too. 😉
  15. Woah... that's some big news. Thx for the update Dr. Ron.
  16. Thank you Mysty for taking the time to direct the OP to the answers they seek. Not necessarily. But, if you were to want to dine in La Dame more than two times, such a request could prove difficult due to the venue’s capacity and SS’s desire to accommodate all passengers who wish to dine there at least once.
  17. It's well known that SS's website doesn't always reflect the most current information. Not saying it is right, but rather what it is. No. I just remembered it from an earlier announcement when SS returned to sailing. Don't remember if it was Barbara Muckermann's appearance here on CruiseCritic, a press release, or their Health & Safety Protocols.
  18. 😅😅😅 Oh, you're good. Really, really good. 😉
  19. Program was suspended upon the return to cruising post-Covid.
  20. We dined outside Antarctica, so you’ll be fine with the heaters and blankets. If you think you’ll be cold, wear a stocking cap and a sweater. Or, do what most do and don’t eat outside. 😉
  21. Really disturbing to read, Dr. Ron. Sounds as if the Hotel Director needs to provide some coaching to their F&B leaders. Being able to afford to sail on an ultra-luxury cruise line unfortunately doesn't mean the same when it comes to manners. Thankfully, I've only witnessed some really abhorrent behavior a couple of times on SS, but in both cases the Maître d' had the venue Manager's back. With all of the new leaders now sailing on board SS ships since the pandemic, I hope your experience is an aberration and doesn't become the norm.
  22. You are nothing if not persistent, I'll give you that. While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, and I don't begrudge that fact, how many more posts do you think will be necessary before you'll feel we understand your point-of-view and as such, will no longer have to express your opinion on this matter? I'd suggest nine times is more than enough throughout an entire forum, let alone a singular topic like you've done here.
